WIZZAIR

WIZZAIR - virtually ruined my trip of a lifetime to Rome, on 30 Mar.
After booking & paying for my flight from Luton to Rome
- 1 week later WIZZAIR contacted to inform me they had to re-schedule my flight - from 14.45 - to 21.45PM

No apology, no support Or No alternative arrangement possible.
This meant I would land in Rome at 01.30AM - left 30 miles stranded, from my accomm. - literally Forced to Fork out another 100 Euros for a private 'TAXI' ??

It virtually Ruined my 4-Day visit - as I had to rely on my Relatives to Arise at ----- 03.00AM 'middle of the night' - just to gain access to my accomm.
It Upset the whole 'Group' - on my Big Day.
I was absolutely disgusted, by the attitude of 'WIZZAIR' ?

..they showed Zero respect for the Customer? ----- Once they got Ur Money - You are Fair Game, is the 'WIZZAIR' ----- Modus Operandi.

Don't RISK IT.

Avoid 'WIZZAir' ------- If U dont want Ur Holiday of a ..Lifetime ' RUINED' ?

Kind Regards
John Cullinane

Failure of PRM assistance at Bratislava Airport (EC 1107/2006)

I pre-booked wheelchair assistance for my flight from Bratislava to Warsaw.
On arrival, I used the designated assistance call point outside the terminal. No assistance was provided. I was instructed to proceed to check-in independently despite requesting support.
At check-in, I was required to pay a fee (€40–45) before any assistance was provided. A supervisor did not attend when requested; instructions were given remotely.
After check-in, assistance remained inconsistent. I was left at the gate without confirmation of boarding support, and my partner had to push the wheelchair himself. The ambulift was only arranged at the last moment.
This appears to fall short of the assistance required under EC Regulation 1107/2006, including provision at the designated point, continuous support, and avoidance of disadvantage due to disability.
I have video evidence of the above.

Sadly it was not my first negative experience on that route. The airline so far ignored

I had one of the worst airline…

I had one of the worst airline experiences I’ve ever had with Wizz Air Malta.

At the airport, I was forced to pay a check-in fee because online check-in had closed. That alone is already a harsh policy, but what happened next was far worse.

I was NOT given any choice of currency when paying. I was forced to pay in Egyptian pounds using Wizz Air’s own exchange rate, which was significantly inflated compared to the real market rate. The amount charged ended up being €97 for just two passengers.

At no point was there any transparent explanation of the conversion or the final amount in euros before payment. In a stressful airport situation, this feels extremely unfair and borderline deceptive.

This is not just about a fee — it’s about lack of transparency and taking advantage of passengers when they have no alternative.

I will be formally raising this with my bank as a forced currency conversion, and also reporting it to consumer protection authorities.

I strongly advise anyone flying with Wizz Air to double-check everything in advance — because if something goes wrong, you may end up paying far more than expected.

Very poor customer experience and highly questionable practices.

This is a company run by incompetent

This is a company run by incompetent, bottom-tier amateurs. They are so desperate and visionless that they’ll resort to petty scams just to squeeze 30 euros out of your luggage. They’ve officially lost the 1,000-1,200 euros I spend annually on flights. With 1-star ratings everywhere, they are abysmal. I’d honestly prefer an 18-hour bus journey over giving these scammers a cent. I hope they go bust

Check in price

We experienced a total disgrace on our flight from Rome to Tirana. Since the online check-in system gave an error, we were forced to check in at the airport. They demanded a total of 96 Euros for my wife and me. When I stated that I would not pay this fee, they threatened to deny us boarding. Subsequently, they even called the police. As we were there on a visa, it was our last day to depart from Rome. Consequently, we were forced to pay 96 Euros under police pressure. It was a deeply humiliating experience for us.
Although online check-in is supposed to close 3 hours before the flight, our flight was already delayed by 4 hours. I intend to pursue all legal avenues regarding this matter. I do not ever plan to choose this airline again.

Wizz is an unethical Company - leaving costumers with the bill

I have now been having a ‘case’ at Wizz Air for severql months. Flying from Copenhagen to Warszaw in october my suitcases broke -(2 wheels broke off)
But Wizz Air denies refunding, with the complety unethical explaination that I need to find a mender with a stamp. What? Are They Living in 1950? No mender uses stamps. They use e-mail. I have e-mails from 2 menders saying that it is not possible to fix the suitcase. But Wizz apparently do not Care.
Please, find another airline. Wizz is an absolute no-go

Scam company - avoid at all costs.

Booked a flight to Gdansk on 23/1/26, they cancelled the booking 4 days later - no reason given. I requested a cash refund, it's been 62 days and they just ignore you. No call backs, no refunds, no answers to emails or claim form. Have ended up reporting for fraud and taking legal action. Worst company I've ever used. Scammers.

Boarding was denied on 05/31/2025, still no refund.

Boarding was denied on 05/31/2025, and refund was still not received!
It took 7 months to get someone review my claim and approve refund, and 3 months ago I was informed that the refund would be issue via bank transfer, I provided my bank and personal info but the money transfer was never received by the bank. Customer service is non-responsive.
Terrible experience.

Good Value for Money with Room for Improvement

I had a generally positive experience with Wizz Air. The ticket price was very competitive, and the booking process was quick and straightforward. The flight departed on time, and everything ran quite efficiently overall.

The cabin crew were polite and professional, and the aircraft was clean. However, the seats were a bit uncomfortable and legroom is limited, which can be noticeable on longer flights. Also, the additional fees for extras can add up if you’re not careful when booking.

Overall, a great option for affordable travel if you’re okay with fewer frills. I would definitely consider flying with them again.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT

⚠️ SCAM ALERT: Wizz Air Refund Trap ⚠️
Recently, my friend and I booked tickets with Wizz Air from London to Jeddah. Unfortunately, we had issues with our visas and had to cancel. After contacting the helpline, they told us we would be refunded to our Wizz Account after a £100 deduction (cancellation fee). We accepted this, and they sent the credit to the account.
However, when we requested that the money be moved from the Wizz Account back to our original bank account, they demanded another £70 deduction!
It is one thing for an airline to have a cancellation policy, but charging twice for the same refund is completely unjustified. They essentially hold your money hostage in their "credits" system and then "play" with your money as they want.
My Advice: Stay away from Wizz Air. Once you buy a ticket, you are trapped in their hands. They are scammers who make it nearly impossible to get your actual money back without stripping away most of its value through hidden fees.
DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM WIZZ AIR!

Tried to change a flight and the payment got stuck. It’s gone from my account but wizz air are saying they don’t have it, despite them sending me an invoice for payment. I don’t have my old flight or my new flight. Tried calling them and the agents were pretending they couldn’t hear me (I called 6 times). I submitted a claim and they closed it. I tried to submit a second claim and they have closed it. I now don’t have a flight.

I traveled to Norway with this airline

I traveled to Norway with this airline. I really liked the price and the service provided for that price. The plane was clean, and even though we didn't choose our seats, we were seated next to each other anyway. There's a wide selection of drinks, snacks, and prepared meals on board. The only thing was the very long boarding time; next time we'll buy priority tickets.

Horrible experience. Avoid this company at all costs. They cancelled my flight, I requested a refund, and I still haven’t received it. When I contact them, they pass me from one agent to another without resolving anything. It feels like a scam. Avoid this company at all costs.

ALL YOU CAN FLY IS A SCUM!!!BE WARNED!!!

Wizz Air’s “All You Can Fly” pass is very misleading. After purchasing it, I discovered that I’m unable to book many flights — even ones that appear half empty. There is no transparency about how many seats are allocated to pass holders or why certain flights are unavailable.

These major restrictions are not clearly explained when you buy the pass. “All You Can Fly” sounds flexible and accessible, but in reality availability seems extremely limited. I feel misled about what I actually paid for.

I would strongly advise others to fully understand the hidden limitations before purchasing.

Very disappointed with Wizz Air’s handling of baggage issues.

If anything happens to your checked luggage, be aware: in practice, the airline takes no responsibility unless you discover and report the damage before leaving the airport. Once you leave, you are basically on your own.

On January 17, 2026, my travel companion and I flew from Warsaw. Both of our suitcases were checked in in good condition, with working locks. After arriving and opening our luggage at the hotel, we discovered that the locks on both suitcases had been broken. Two different bags, same type of damage.

We contacted Wizz Air, but since we had already left the airport, they refused to help and pointed to their policy requiring a report to be made immediately at the airport desk. This means that instead of starting your trip, you are expected to stay at the airport and inspect everything on the spot — otherwise your claim will simply be dismissed.

It’s extremely frustrating. Passengers trust the airline with their belongings, but when something goes wrong, the responsibility is pushed entirely onto the traveler. Be very careful and check your luggage before leaving the airport, because if you don’t, Wizz Air will most likely refuse to assist you at all.
