I ordered acoustic panels from this company and I had a few issues that warrant a lower than average review. 1) After placing my initial order and receiving a "Your order has shipped" email, I went to check the estimated delivery date only to discover the item had not actually shipped. After nearly 5 days I wrote them and they apologized saying it missed the last truck but would be on the next. However, I don't think the customer should have to reach out for these types of updates. 2)When I finally received the panels, 1 of the 4 panels was damaged. There was visible discoloration which they referred to as crossfire. I think having someone QC check the items before shipping would have avoided this. 3) They agree to replace the damaged panel and I requested expedited shipping to offset the delay in completing my project. They said the panels would be shipped, but provided no shipping date and no confirmation on expedited shipping. 3 days later I contacted them for an update and confirmation on expedited shipping; they confirmed the panel had been shipped but did not expedite the shipment. This company had solid reviews which is why I chose them. However, my experience did not match the 4 and 5 star experience of other customers. Mine was a bad combination of damaged product, poor quality control, and lackluster customer service.

Versitile and attractive product!
The product is quite versitile and allowed me to dress up a wall in my entryway that was difficult to design. With Woodup, I could place pictures, shelves, hooks, etc. where ever I wanted then move them around easily.
I had questions on ordering and got great help from Customer Service.
Overall I would recommend this product and may use it on some other projects as well.

I ordered some replacement brass…
I ordered some replacement brass knobs/finger knobs and sent a request to purchase the insert threads as the knobs are useless without them. Brisieda A. said they would not allow me to purchase them separately. I asked if it was possible you would reconsider the selling of the insert threads? I told her that I've purchased now 7 magnetic boards and 9 shelves, and also the panel itself, for thousands of dollars of purchases, I would be delighted to have this work functionally for us again. I provided a screenshot of one of my orders, in case that was helpful. She still said no. I think it is a poor policy, and if it wouldn’t have cost me even more money to send back the now useless knobs I would have returned the item. I’m disappointed, $4-5k might not be considered a big client to you, but that was a meaningful amount of money to have spent with your company according to me, and were it my business, I would have sold me two of the insert threads as requested. -Amanda

RETURN IMPOSSIBLE
While the product itself is of great quality, I was disappointed with the lack of information on the site. I ordered the Lamella thinking it was needed for my wall, but found that it was not necessary. The site does not really explain what it is or even explain all of the accessories. I am very disappointed that I would have to pay for the return of the Lamella. The shipping cost outweighed the value, so now I’m stuck with it. I will only shop local for my next wall project

You make a fair point. It should be easy to understand what each accessory is for before ordering, and I can understand why you’re disappointed after realizing once everything was together that you didn’t actually need it.
The difficult part with returning something like the lamella is its length. Unfortunately, once a parcel exceeds 2 metres, shipping becomes significantly more expensive, which is why the return cost can be surprisingly high. 📦

I like my new wall
I like my new wall. Installation was easy. I purchased 2 shelves at 20 % off, deal with buying the wall panels. A bit disappointing when 3 days after getting the product wanted to purchase additional shelves and could not get the discount. It’s hard to know how things will work until you get it all together. That’s my only negative.

Unfortunately I am pretty disappointed…
Unfortunately I am pretty disappointed with the final product given the expensive price. For context, I am a pretty skilled handyman, specializing in finish work. I installed about 5 panels for a recessed ceiling accent and installed 3 of the LED light strips in the panels.
Firstly, butting panels up to each other for a continuous flow is a nightmare. The spacing of the wood is not perfect, so getting them to line up with each other is a challenge. It seems like they could benefit from twice as many staples in the backside of the felt to hold the wood strips into position.
The real nightmare came when installing the LED lights. That inconsistent spacing of the wood strips, we are talking as little as a 1/16th of an inch, makes it so the LED lights are snug in some channels and flops out in other. I had to use the additional LED mounts with adhesive and that was not enough to keep them fastened in the channels. After a 3rd attempt, I used heavy duty carpet tape to try and hold the LED lights in the channels better, but I have little confidence they will actually hold over time. Additionally, the LED lights arrive in a roll. I unrolled them and let them sit, stretch out "straight" for over a week and they are still trying to curl out of the wood channels. It was a complete pain of an install. I will say, the actual visual aesthetic of the lights and the remote is VERY nice.

Thank you for taking the time to explain your experience in such detail. I’m sorry the installation ended up being this frustrating, especially considering the time and effort you’ve put into the project.
When panels are installed as a continuous run, we recommend pushing them closely together so the slats continue naturally from one panel to the next. There can be small natural variations, but if the spacing between some of the slats is noticeably inconsistent, we’d definitely like to take a closer look. Please feel free to send us a few photos, as that’s of course not how the finished installation is intended to look.
Regarding the LED strips, ceiling installations can unfortunately be a little more challenging. Because of gravity, the LEDs may need additional adhesive or another means of securing them when installed overhead, as they can otherwise work their way out of the channels.
I’m glad to hear that despite the difficult installation, you’re happy with the final look of the lighting and the remote. ✨ But we’d still really like to see the spacing you’re describing and make sure everything with the panels is as it should be 🙌

I was planning to purchase an Embrace…
I was planning to purchase an Embrace BM1 along with accessories. WoodUpp instructed me to order the accessories through their website and said they would be shipped with my BM1. I was also told that if my accessory order exceeded $159, I would receive free shipping and that “this would save on the total cost for your Embrace order.” Their website also advertises “Free shipping on orders over $159.”
Based on that information, I purchased over $159 worth of accessories. Only afterward did I learn that the BM1 would still have an additional $378.98 oversized shipping charge.
My issue isn't simply the high shipping cost. It's that I made a purchasing decision based on the shipping information WoodUpp provided and advertised on their website, only to learn afterward that the free shipping did not reduce the BM1 shipping charge as I reasonably understood it would.
