Greedy, cynical, exploitative. Wooga are ripoff merchants.

Wooga send in-game messages thanking you for spending money on an offer, and slipping you an extra 100 energy or coins by way of a thank you for supporting the game. Which is really nice, and sweet, and makes you feel valued as a customer.

But.

They also increase the asking price for every offer, the more you have spent on the game the more expensive they make it for YOU specifically. A diamonds offer that was 2.99 becomes 4.99, 7.99, 9.99, 12.99… before long they are demanding 20, 25, even 27 bucks for HALF the diamonds they used to offer for 2.99.

The more support you give them, the more greedy they become.

It’s also amazing how often you get stuck on a level because of one hidden object that you just cannot find. You start to question if it’s even there. Eventually you either run out of energy or cave and buy a hint. Guess what, it wasn’t there, not until you bought the hint, THEN it appeared in the scene.

Wooga admit they do this, and screen shots prove it, they literally force you to buy diamonds in order to access hints in order to find items that are literally NOT THERE. You cannot finish the scene without spending diamonds, and as I mentioned earlier, they bump the price more and more each time.

This is a predatory firm that exploits fans, are unethical, greedy and have the rudest and most intransigent support ever. They would rather take a chargeback than give you what you paid for, and punish loyalty with exploitation and lies.

Politically biased game operator

The game operator Wooga has recently started to rename (censor) groups/teams in the game June’s Journey just because a group/team name has “Trump” in it. That means Wooga operates politically and with censorship towards players/group. Wooga games should then mark this in their profile as game operator; that they censor words/names they don’t like. That they are very political and not open for all people to join their gaming platforms.

Unfair Club Name Change

I joined a Detective League club almost 5 years ago. Have great relationship with all teammates. We are like a family and have been thru much together. Last year, our President died suddenly and unexpectedly. We did not remove her from the club so she would always be a member, and so we can remain connected to her / visit her island.
Two days ago, our club name was changed without our consent. According to wooga, someone complained about our club name and they changed it without even asking us to pick a new name. We HATE the name they gave us. We are furious at this facist censorship. Many of us have been spending over $150 per month on June's Journey and one ridiculous complaint by a SNOWFLAKE is all it took for us to be targeted in such an unfair way. Our name was FAR from offensive. Someone just can't stand to see the name Trump.
We are all seriously considering leaving this game as we have never really liked Wooga, or their woke/globalist agenda and often times sickening storyline. Sadly, if we do (or if we start a new club with a new name), we will loose our connection to our late teammate, which is heartbreaking.
PATHETIC player - SHAME ON wooga. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY.

How to ruin a great game

I've been playing JJ for a few years, and it used to be a fantastic game. But recent changes've ruined everything. From being "a free hidden object and mystery game" it turned into a pure casino game based on gambling and "pay to play" strategy. Even if you pay money in hope to purchase a certain object, no guarantee you'll get it, and in most cases you dont, which is absolutely ridiculous. The customer service is not helpful with its formal responses and promises to "pass it over to the team". Going up a level has become a huge challenge while prizes and rewards are just laughable, all to push the players to spend more and more money.

Wooga charges insanely high prices for…

Wooga charges insanely high prices for their in app purchases for things like diamonds and energy to enhance the in game experience. Many of their prices have increased 150% and more in a few weeks. I have written Wooga several times about their outrageous prices and they continue to go up. I'm afraid to see what they will be charging next. The game simply is not worth the prices they charge. Do yourself a favor and don't get sucked into playing unless you want to see your time and money spent for nearly nothing.

Game double dips on in-app purchases …

I started noticing double charges for in-app purchases in August. I tried to get my money back from Apple Pay and was rejected. This has to be the response from Wooga as Apple Pay is the go-between only. I kept the game but keep my card locked unless I make a purchase. I can’t tell you how many times that my card has had to decline double requests for the same purchase. Then yesterday, it got more blatant. I purchased an in-app “prize” that can only be purchased once as it’s an “earned diamond vault” and when it’s full, you can purchase it for $19.99 plus tax. Immediately upon purchase, my card is charged $54. They added the duplicate $19.99 plus tax (and it’s not a delay from a previous purchase, it’s charged at literally the same exact time for the same exact “prize”) along with a random charge they chose. 3 days before Christmas, they took over $30 from me. I will be taking this all the way to the end, even if it includes going to court since I take screenshots of every transaction and they’ve taken a couple hundred before yesterday and have attempted to take hundreds more.

I have played Junes Journey since 2020…

I have played Junes Journey since 2020 it was advertised as FREE to play!! What a joke!! Have had to pay for diamonds etc.. many times over the last two years to progress further!! So many errors and glitches and they actually steal your winnings and prizes by not uploading them correctly or honestly and then you are forced to put in a complaint ( I have lost count how many complaints I have put in over the years - every week lately!! They then reply by blaming you for error or deny wrongdoing by scripted response!!
Profits over customer satisfaction!! Also making all areas of the game much harder to win unless you purchase diamonds etc…..
After reading all the negative reviews I am surprised there hasn't been a CLASS action worldwide!!
Oh wait - today they have blocked me out of the game until I sign terms of agreement that waiver them from CLASS action!! Wont be signing!!
Don't sign and do not accept any positive information posted ancour this company as those making any positive claims about Wooga are paid investors or associated with Wooga!!
June Journey was a great concept but not worth the Stress, Lies and Costs involved with playing this game!! They receive enough money from advertisement that they don't need to gouge more money from players!! Woogas decline is due to greed and customer dissatisfaction!!
Also in Australia gaming and betting advertising in childrens games is illegal so Wooga has been overstepping their mark for many years sneaking in gambling themed advertising for several years!!
My advice is do not play and unfortunately I had to press on 1 star but I would rate this zero if allowed!!

Wow I wish I had read these reviews…

Wow I wish I had read these reviews before playing Junes journey. Everytime I made a purchase my game would disappear. I contacted the "help" people and they would get my game back. Yesterday they took my money and game. I was given a "new" game immediately. I contacted the support through the game support and email. I was asked to provide receipts, which I did. I was told in email they can't help. I used Google play to access the game.I was told I need Facebook to play junes journey. I won't do Facebook. I wonder if Google knows Facebook is a requirement for stable gaming? So my advise don't play anything from wooga.

Wooga is extremely greedy

Wooga is extremely greedy! I understand that they have to make money but it is a bit out of control with how much they charge for a lot of items. Now they are offering a daily free gift on Playtika, (Great, right? Not really) the site wasn't working for days then was down again and then once it did work they claim it can take a while for the gift to show up in your ingame box. Why? There is NO reason it shouldn't be waiting for you. I didn't get my gift one day and their support just wants to argue with me about it. They cannot even get it right, they say one thing then the next rep says another. On top of it, I have spent A LOT of money for them to only treat me like I don't know what I'm talking about. They add too many side games and a lot of times there really is no point to the side games. They seem to get in over their head a lot and it's because they only care about making more money, even when it slows the game down and causes a lot of technical issues for players. They clearly do not care about the players at this point.

This is the biggest ripoff in gaming

This is the biggest ripoff in gaming. The prices for anything has gone up the prizes ie: decorations, diamonds ec. have gone down. They changed the time you get to find objects in the Travels portion so you would have to buy more lightening bolts in order to finish. it has turned into a big money suck. I am not spending another dime on this game anymore, they have turned a fun game into a hot mess with the prices. I will probably delete it shortly.

Korean BBQ should never be…

Korean BBQ should never be served/grilled in gas grill. It should be grilled in wooden charcoal. I can get better beef at home. Baan-chaans (side dishes) were subpar. Tofu casserole was horrible.
Music was too loud - couldn’t carry on conversation.
Service was great - fast and furious - no grace. I felt like I was in a military mess hall.
There’s other, much better Korans BBQ in Fort Lee.

GREED KILLS - This game is a Sinking Ship

Where does one start, to explain all their wrongs? Currently it is beta testing and some of the players can not access the same things as the other players do and makes it difficult during competition. The Snippets are a joke. They may as well as change the game's name to "Memoirs", since that is where they are headed and no one likes. They will never get a dime from me.

Do not start playing best advice I can give

Constantly changing side games with some players having no option to play them.
Introducing new tasks that are difficult to achieve without spending real money.
Everyone is treated differently with some having more opportunities than others
Customer care in non existent with players being blamed or player's technology
Need I say anymore!
Best advice is do not start playing

Money hungry

Money hungry! With all the ads required to run before playing. the game should be well supported! Prizes for side games are cheezy! Coins as prizes are cheezy. Mysteries is over rated! The last week of the league would be a plenty for mysteries to be shoved on us! I do like Secrets! I the begining it was fun many years ago! Story line isn't too bad. This rating is for Junes Journey!
