Workfront is a very powerful and customizable project management tool. The interface and features are always evolving, and can accommodate any needs in different industries. Users can see just what they need without overwhelming them with data.
Additionally, the overall Workfront team at all levels is excellent! you don't feel you are alone. You have a community from within the company and from other users that are ready to help with any challenges at any time. I highly recommend it!

The product does not look ready. Many expected features, such as Resource Planning, are completely missing. Others, like date calculations for tasks, work in a surprising way. I am never sure how the deadline change in a task propagates to the dependant tasks and in most cases, I need to update it myself.
Workfront has Grown to be more Robust
Workfront has done a lot of growing in the past year or two.
The system is much more robust than their earlier versions known as AtTask.
Workfront has a great educational team.
The Community has been extremely helpful for customers to connect, make recommendations for system enhancements and find Regional User Groups.

Great System!
We have been live in Workfront for 5 months now and absolutely love it! IT has really streamlined our process, and allowed us to take on more work. Of course, there are a few implementation pains. It is extremely robust compared to our last system so getting everyone used to it has been difficult. Overall it is a great system and I am excited to see what else we can do with it overtime.

Focus on core features
Focus seems to be more around pretty features than core capabilities.
The promised ability to have group-specific statuses was poorly implemented, to the point that most customers cannot use it.
The ability to recover projects, tasks and issues is welcome, but limiting its use to administrators fails to address the requirement. Likewise, not being able to recover documents is a significant miss.
The inability to collaborate across Workfront environments is probably the most frustrating.

I believe Workfront has a lot more room …
I believe Workfront has a lot more room to grow and meet customer needs better. Its a great tool, but very limited in its open and flexible to complicate user platform, resulting in users opting to use simpler tools such as exporting to Excel or other user friendly tools. I've heard from our users that Workfront takes a lot of time from their work. With incomplete data this becomes a challange, when reporting to executives using the tool. Users are not for spending too much time in workfront.
Our project managers are hands on, managing a cross from large 4-8 month long projects to quick 6-15 hours projects/tasks for some on going clients on a daily bases. Workfront has done a great job at helping tracking/managing these projects, its the one time a PM asks for something in workfront that Excel can do easily and workfront support does not have a solution, that I believe we loose tracksion in employee buy-in.
I know part of the issues might be our need to setting processes for all our locations to use and ensuring that workfront is integrated in these processes. Right now workfrotn is an extra tool to use and the more we encourage workfront use the more its becoming a policing tool.
I enjoy working in Workfront and wish we could do more with it as an organization. I enjoy the webinars too and they are very helpful in understanding how other organizations use Workfront and the challanges they face.
Workfront is a great tool
Workfront is a great tool. They are constantly trying to improve the tool, they value customer feedback, and provide a lot of resources to help you and your company.
There are two reasons I didn't give 5 stars. 1) The price. It does do a lot of stuff, but that is a really hard sell when I'm trying to expand the tool, especially to smaller business units. 2) There are a few miscommunication issues that seem to happen between the product team that shares info with the clients and the behind-the-scenes people implementing changes. I think that process needs to be fixed a little.

I think overall Workfront is the best …
I think overall Workfront is the best tool for project management on the market. It does need some improvement in areas like resource management but I'm confident that these issues are being worked on and addressed. Customer service and support is great.

It's a great system that will be great …
It's a great system that will be great for our team once it's completely rolled out. We've had some issues with adoption - no one ever likes change! But, know that this will be an invaluable tool for us once we get everyone on board.
