So if your outside of usa you cant get spares because none of the online stores have spares for alot of their sharpeners this is OUT OF ORDER I Have been emailing worksharp for weeks and so
they said sorry no can do ! I bought a worksharp guided sharpener (WGS) about 6 months ago . I always intended to buy the upgrade kit that includes the extra coarse and extra fine sharpening plates and a leather strop plate, to get the best out of my worksharp gss.The basic Worksharp sharpener
only comes with two sharpening plates a normal 320 course grit plate and 600 fine grit plate but there is an extra fine 800 grit plate for extra sharp edges and the extra course 220 plate you need in case you get any chips on your knife blade and also if you want to reprofile your blade to a different edge angle or type of grind
ie v edge or convhex ect. Worksharp advertised this sharpener as having a 49 year warranty its on the reviews by prepared mindedness 101.
. But when I tried to buy any extra sharpening stones for this sharpener all the sites online say its out of stock or not available anymore I looked everywhere but nobody knew why so I went to the makers worksharp in the USA they told me in an email that due to lack of sales they had discontinued making it yet the sharpeners are still being sold all over the Internet with no warning . I asked worksharp if they could help me but they said sorry but no so I said what about customers who had put their trust in their product they didn't answer that question there are no spare at all online e let one site who has few 320 course grit plates left but after they are sold tough ! So DONT BUY WORKSHARP THEY WONT HELP YOU are none to be found anywhere in uk or Europe even worksharp except for a 600 grit but found out wotksharp can't or don't sell to UK they cant be bothered to post out the country .so I said to worksharp that this is unfair to their customers . Also worksharp saythat for now they are still producing and selling the new
worksharp bench stone sharpener.which only have a ceramic extra fine plate,and 2 diamond plates a 320 coarse grit and 600 fine grit these diamond stones or magnetic plates are compatible with the workshop guided sharpener l BUT I can't find any spares for them either except on one site they sell the 320 course grit diamond this is not good enough worksharp I thought of buying this benchstone sharpener just to get some extra plates but I shouldn't have too its an expensive way to do it . Worksharp don't care about customer service they say on their site we believe in truth respect and fairness we'll that's a bit rich bull s... They just sent an email with a link for all the distributors in the world and none of them have any spare stones available . Disgusting treatment of YOUR CUSTOMERS BEWARE DONT BUY WORKSHARP UNLESS I HEAR OTHERWISE ABOUT PROVIDING SPARE STONES AND POSTING THEM TO THEIR CUSTOMERS I WONT RETRACT THIS ADVICE DONT BUY WORKSHARP . AND IM NOT ALONE MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE RECIEVING THIS SAME CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE OR LACK OF IT. So worsharp said they would pass my views on. I was very excited to try my first guided knife sharpening system with the Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener - Elite. I unboxed the system and put a knife into the jaws of the blade holder. The design of the blade holder is TERRIBLE to the point of being unusable for any blade with a full grind. The blade holder holds the blade VERY shallow and has NO ARTICULATION WHATSOEVER. The blade holder HAS to clamp on a FLAT SPOT on the blade, or the blade will MOVE with minimal pressure (this means your bevel will be off). They accepted my return but I had to pay $28 for return shipping. Lesson learned, I will NEVER shop with Work Sharp again. I recommend that you either just buy a set of stones, or that you save up your money for a guided sharpening system that actually works on fully ground blades.
