My 4Kw solar panel system was installed yesterday by World of Solar engineers Mike and Alex. They were truly oustanding, and despite them both living a long way from here, they stayed in poor weather conditions until after 6:30pm and made sure that everything was completed and working perfectly. Their workmanship and the quality of the installation can only be described as superb! I was contacted today by Lizzie about my battery requirements for an existing solar system. After running through what was available, she was completely honest and open that I would be better off going back to the original suppliers of my system. We discussed a plethora of technical questions and options I had too. Despite the call dropping out twice , she called back straight away and was absolutely superb, and completely genuine with no hard sell.. I’d thoroughly recommend World of Solar for a quote. Total satisfaction start to finish.
Start to end, a professional service.
Tim the planner/ salesman has been professional, helpful & patient with us, explaining everything to the enth degree to ensure the install was a) what we wanted. b) what we needed and c) what was required to meet our needs and expectations. The scaffolders & Installers were equally as good and caring of our property and neighbours property in the case of scaffolders. Didn't really know they were here, all just got on with the job, even declined drinks and biscuits 🙂
Follow up courtesy calls from Laura and Meghan both on install day and a few days after, have been reassuring and helpful with having a direct lead to tech team.
Tech...... I'm very impressed with the set up. Sun to appliances, battery storage and then to the grid, in that order all from a gadget, the Inverter, approx 15" X 15" on internal garage wall adjacent consumer unit and batteries. Discreet and just sits there doing its job reporting to a useful, if a little over techy app that I'm addicted to. Check in on your generation, consumption and battery storage levels. The tech guys and the inverter monitor my arrays performance and alert me via app.
A bonus is the inverter tops up the battery overnight from the grid at a cheaper rate to be used on a day like today, dark & gloomy. Cheap leccy!
The first night after install, battery never charged from the cheaper night rate from the grid. 1 call, techs were on it.
Overall 10/10 for everything. Cannot fault.

The experience of having solar panels from world of solar was a very good experience. From the initial consultation to the extremely professional installers (Mike and Alex) who did an amazing job and managed to fit twice the number of panels on the preferred South facing roof all looking very neat and tidy. So happy.

Solar panel and battery installation went really smoothly, Harry, Jake and Brad quickly and efficiently installed the equipment in around 3 hours (single storey garage) and quickly developed a good method to connect the required current clamp in the house to the inverter in the garage.

Great experience from start to finish
My enquiry was followed up by Sean who helpfully pointed me in the right direction as to what I thought I wanted with what I actually required! Installation went like clockwork - Alex and Taz didn't stop from when they arrived at 8am till they finished late afternoon - they were able to facilitate a couple of my requests without any issue and put up with the sub-zero temperature and my questions with patience and good humour. Couldn't have gone better.

Great team effort
The whole process of having the panels system designed , ordered and fitted went very well - even allowing for a dock strike which delayed installation. Lizzy was particularly helpful in keeping us informed by WhatsApp. The two installers worked from 9am till 7pm and were great

Excellent (so far!)
I first engaged with World of Solar a couple of months ago. The Project Designer (Simon) was knowledgeable, and very willing to explain any aspect of the proposal. When one of the products originally planned became unavailable, Simon was quick to contact me and to propose alternative options based on my specific requirements.
The communication from the team at WoS (Mel, Laura and Jade) has been excellent throughout, and the install went ahead without problems well ahead of the original planned date.
The installers communicated really well and did a fantastic job in just a day (despite the heaviest snow in years) - thank you Chichi and George!
All seems to be working as expected, but it's only been in a day, so perhaps too early to pass comment. The price was very competitive. Overall I'd really recommend World of Solar.

Very happy with the service and install right the way through. The initial phone conversation was thorough and subsequent calls where my questions about the kit and installation were answered also dealing with the World of Solar was easy and professional. The install team worked in terrible weather but got the job done on time and again were very professional and polite and answered all my questions.
The solar panels and batteries they installed are doing what I expected obviously time will tell but having the guarantees gives me the reassurance. I would recommend thanks World of Solar.

World of Solar review
We had panels installed in October. Leading up to this we spoke at some length to Stuart before taking the plunge. He was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions.
We were kept fully informed before installation date regarding such things as scaffolding erection and on the day the installation team were great.
We did have a few hickups following installation but these were resolved quite promptly and once again Jade kept us up to date.
So top marks for both the field team and office staff. Great service relatively stress free.
