My cockapoo was grommed yesterday and he became unrecognizable. I felt like crying. They left him bald and cut all the hair off his face without asking first. They also left him all wet, didn't clean him properly, and took a higher amount out of my bank account.

No compassion to loyal customers
I had been going to this spa for my cavapoo’s hair and teeth since moving to the area year ago, but because I couldn’t make the appointment because of terrible gridlock traffic in Cranleigh today they decided to take the full amount of the appointment - even though they would have saved on product not being used and no grace for being a regular customer… the £98, yes almost £100 for a groom and tooth clean they took will be the last money they ever get from me.
I’ll be finding a new groomer locally, and one where I don’t have to pay a parking fee to park and who respect the loyalty of their repeat customers

Very disappointed. Our Show Cocker Spaniel was groomed there yesterday very poorly. Had the same experience there about 6 years ago when in different premises and decided to give them a try once again. Sorry to say that we will not be going back!

Very disappointed… made a booking for my 2 dogs, unfortunately needed to change the appointment 3 days prior because of a hospital appointment and because they did not have an appointment for the same week they wanted to charge me booking fee again. Bear in mind that i had already paid £40 when first booked.

It´s been our first time with this company. The groomer (Lauren) has done a great job with our two dogs. She´s been punctual, professional, respectful with our property and lovely with our dogs. I definitely will call them in the future.

Worse hair cut my dog has ever had!!! I felt the groomer wasn’t very warm towards my dog. Had no notes on him. I explained he was older now and a bit more anxious but he is a great dog and you can do pretty much anything with him. I said he is usually a bit yappy but he is no way difficult. I gave the girl my garden hose to top up her tank as she wanted it filled. At first glance my dog looked ok until he was indoors and it looked terrible. The cut was all patchy and uneven. Big clumps missing from his ears, eyelashes cut off, private bits not trimmed and around his mouth was just shaved off on one side and covered with a top layer of fur. My dog is a Tibetan Terrier and she didn’t really have an idea of how to cut him. After she left I checked my account and after them taking £20 deposit they then took a further £56. I called and was told they charged a £5 extra for de matting. There was no de matting the couple of mats my dog had behide his ears were just shaved off. And and extra £10 for his behaviour. I could hear he was barking like I told her and when I went to the van the girl had ear phones on. I told her maybe talk to him to help calm him. The girl at the office said she would investigate but I’ve heard nothing. £76 for a terrible cut. Used a few years ago and was fine but never again!!!😡
Terrible customer service - AVOID
Terrible customer service. The groomer was unable to groom my cat and apologised on at least 3 occasions as she had not been able to carry out a proper service. I queried the £70 charge with the company and suggested a partial discount would be appropriate as they had been unable to complete the groom.
Lucy was rude and copied T&Cs to me claiming my cat was aggressive and would require sedation to be groomed. I have the friendliest Maine Coon who is not in the least aggressive and I suggest instead that they terrified him.
No discount was offered and instead money was automatically deducted from my account.
Please avoid this company at all costs

Will be reporting to Trading Standards.
Clash of circumstances lead to disaster
We were in the unfortunate position of our dogs being poorly when our usual groomers were due then our groomer went on a 3 week holiday. I didn't look at these reviews so I feel foolish. Looked at these the day after my dogs were groomed. The negative reviews are absolutely spot on. They cancelled the morning they were due. With them having £40 deposit you don't feel you can cancel. We got charged full wack, money taken without us even seeing our second dog. One dog is skinned, one dog is puffed out and place, no fir on legs. Gone straight back to my previous mobile groomer who is excellent.

Beware if they have got your bank details they change the price without warning and they just take the money from your bank. Then when you query the situation the girls attitude on the phone is appalling, how can you go from being charged one price on every visit and then suddenly it changes, her reason was 'because your dog looks bigger in the photo!!! and we obviously undercharged on previous times' (well then do the decent thing and phone me to discuss it, don't just help yourself to my money!). Really disappointing, I feel like I've been robbed.
Dreadful Service
Im sadly disappointed with the mobile service - i have been using them for a few years and normally they were good - this last 2 visits were terrible - the last time my dogs nails werent done and when i called to complain i was told they were! had to take him elsewhere for his nails who confirmed they hadnt been cut and then on Friday i had them come to do a very short cut on one of my dogs and he doesnt look done at all - the girl on the phone wanted to argue with me when i asked for a re visit - her answer was - you got what you asked for! I didnt.. but she doesnt want to know. Im done - Goodbye 4 paws

4paws have a total disregard for professionalism and customer communication. One of the worst companies I’ve ever used in Brighton. Before taking my cat I expressly said I did not want him shaved, I’d read their t and cs and I’d asked questions/done my homework I told the groomer I understood matts could be a problem, clipping/combing them out was fine but he was not to be shaved. I was told the groomer would call from the van if any issues. Half an hour later she gave back my cat absolutely butchered, no phone call no comms just shaved ridiculous patches. £ was taken from my account. I complained and got back a really aggressive and frankly pathetic reply quoting said t and cs ignoring my complaint that I had not given them permission to shave him and nor had I had a phone call asking/informing me of any issues (despite the promise of one from the van) and no apology for fact my cat now looks frigging ridiculous. I am quite capable of shaving my own cat, I don’t need to pay £70 for them to do it!
Customer service was zero, professionalism zero, all I can say is do it yourself and don’t call them. If I could give zero stars I could but I can’t seem to do that sadly!
Awful and unprofessional.
Awful experience from start to finish.
4 Paws arrived and took my cat into their van. Only 20 minutes later, they claimed that my cat was aggressive, stressed and they were not able to groom her. I was surprised; my cat has never exhibited any aggressive tendencies or behavioural problems. 4 Paws have not provided me with any proof that my cat was aggressive or stressed, other than their word. They do not let you enter their vans to witness the groom. You are not allowed to calm your pet yourself or suggest any strategies that might help. The groomer claimed that the only way that anyone would be able to groom my cat was if she was sedated by the vet.
Before the groomer left, I asked about the price of the groom. To my shock, they told me that my cat that they’d deemed ‘too aggressive and stressed’ would incur a flat fee of between £50 and £60. The groomer was unable to tell me the exact cost of the groom and said that they would send the bill to the office. I was not happy with being charged for a cat that was - according only to 4 Paws - not able to be groomed. As with any service, I expect to be given a bill, invoice or breakdown of costs before being charged. I immediately phoned the 4 Paws office and told them that I did not authorise them to take any money out of my bank account until I had received a bill and knew exactly what I was being charged. The woman on the phone informed me that they didn’t know the costs yet as they hadn’t had the report from the groomer, and that she would ring me back. Half an hour later, she phoned me back and told me the bill, which included a £60 charge for my cat that they could not groom. I told her that I was not happy to be charged this, the cat in question had never been aggressive, I had not been allowed to witness any of the groom that lasted only 20 minutes, and I reiterated for the second time that they were not authorised to take any funds out of my bank account. It was at this point that the lady on the phone told me that they had already taken the money. This was despite me telling them twice, in two separate phone calls, that they did not have my permission. I have never dealt with a company that takes money from your bank account after you have clearly told them that you do not authorise it.
It only got worse from there. The owner, Jacky, is extremely unprofessional. She was not apologetic nor was she interested in any of my complaints or concerns. She did not answer any of my questions. All she did was continually copy and paste 4 Paws T&Cs and repeatedly told me that it is 4 Paws policy to ‘charge if your cat is too aggressive or stressed’. At one point she replied to my email in capital letters and red writing. After lots of frustrating back and forth emails, it became apparent that 4 Paws have two different sets of T&Cs. They had sent both to me in error. One set contained the clause about being ‘charged even if your cat becomes too stressed or aggressive’. The second set of T&Cs had no such clause. When I pointed this out, Jacky finally had to admit that 4 Paws had sent me the wrong T&Cs by mistake, but even then she wasn’t forthcoming with an apology or refund. In any case, without actually being allowed to confirm that my cat wasn’t able to be groomed, or shown any proof, I would not have been happy with this charge. You can see evidence of this unprofessionalism yourself in Jacky’s responses to other negative reviews.
Less than a week later, I contacted a different cat specific groomer. I took my cat that 4 Paws had claimed was aggressive and would need sedation. She was able to be successfully groomed. I am very glad that I did not believe 4 Paws, otherwise my cat would have been cruelly and unnecessarily sedated. I do not believe that 4 Paws groomers have the expertise or training to groom cats. Once 4 Paws has your bank details, it seems that they feel they have the freedom to treat you and your pet however appallingly that they see fit, as well as take money from your bank account even if you withdraw permission.
Avoid at all costs.

We arranged to have our two Maine Coons groomed today by 4Paws as one had bad matting around his tail and back legs and one had some smaller knots in his mane that just needed clipping.
One cat has come back with an absolutely butchered cut, the second has come back with a small shaven patch (5x5cm) on his back and his belly (3x3cm) where the groomer has attempted to shave him before stopping as he was 'too stressed' although apparently they still managed to film him rather than come and get me like I had asked them to do. I was charged £145 for this service.
The complete lack of care shown to these two cats is absolutely disgraceful and the attitude shown by one of the ladies working in the office was also disgusting. I imagine, given the responses to other negative reviews, that 4 Paws will have their own narrative but all I can say is.. if you are a responsible pet owner, and care for your animals, please do not leave them in the care of this company for ANY length of time.
