I had a terrible experience

I had a terrible experience. I spent around 2000 DKK on several items, and all of them were low quality, damaged, torn, or completely different from the website descriptions. Nothing matched what was advertised.
Although it claimed “free returns,” this turned out to be misleading. I was asked to pay for return shipping myself, which makes the whole process unfair. Very disappointing experience.

Avoid AliExpress. My order is 45+ days late, while competitors deliver in 15. Customer support is a joke. They blamed customs and closed the chat without solving anything. Now they claim I can’t get a refund until June 2026. Total scam behavior. Stay away!

Avoid AliExpress if you expect fair customer service.

My seller refunded the returned product months ago after receiving it back. That part was solved professionally by the merchant.

The real problem is AliExpress itself.

AliExpress customer service clearly promised me in writing that my return shipping cost (370 SEK) would be reimbursed via voucher/coupon after the approved return. Based on that promise, I paid the return shipping, returned the item, and provided all requested proof:

• PostNord receipt
• Delivery confirmation
• Return evidence
• Screenshots of their own written promise

Now, more than two months later, AliExpress refuses to honor what they promised.

Instead, they repeatedly send the same false automated response claiming the return was never completed — even though the seller already received the item and refunded the product.

So the seller did the right thing. AliExpress did not.

This means their support appears to rely on bots/templates that ignore evidence and contradict previous written commitments.

Be very careful if AliExpress promises compensation, vouchers, shipping refunds, or any later reimbursement. In my case, once they had the return completed, they simply changed their position.

Extremely disappointing experience and zero trust in AliExpress customer support.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. sent back an item and they moaned I didnt have enough evidence even though I have tracking pictures of it in a derelict warehouse somewhere. I just want my money back !!!! moaning I haven't taken pictures of why I am not satisfied. Sorry but I cannot take pictures of how cheap something feels

Proof that AliExpress are dishonest and lie

Proof that AliExpress are dishonest and corrupt!

Some of my reviews refer to a refund / return to AliExpress, who approved the refund and said postage would be reimbursed.

So, after returning the item, AliExpress claimed I had returned the incorrect item and closed my refund case.

I challenged and pointed out that the tracking information chowed the item was in a sorting centre in China awaiting collection, but they refused to provide any feedback or send me any evidence that the item I returned the incorrect item!

I was so frustrated I just let it go as life is too short !

Then, some 5 months later, the item I sent back was returned to me ! Proving that AliExpress lied in claiming I had sent back a different item , and acted dishonestly in not checking the facts by checking the tracking information I supplied to them under the terms set by AliExpress in their own refund policy.

So I sent them all the evidence ( photos of the returned item etc) and NOTHING back from AliExpress, they just ignore me ….

They sell some cheap products, so use them , but, don’t expect to return them for a refund, be warned …

The one star i'm giving

The one star i'm giving, is only because you can't give a negative, poor costumer service, selling you defective and used looking stained items, but when when you need your refund for it, here is where hell starts, you need to contact sellers, and run after them and after all you get nothing, stay away!!

Do not buy any Lego knockoff sets from AliExpress. I bought 4 and each one was missing pieces. When I tried to get assistance to get replacements - the customer service was awful- in other words nonexistent. Worse company ever. Steer clear of this mess

Don't BUY GOLD JEWELRY ON ALLIEXPRESS!! FAKE!!!

I bought a necklace from a seller on AlliExpress. I looked at several sellers. I bought and took the (Real) Gold necklace that the seller insisted it was REAL . I took
it to to a reputable jewelry store and they tested it and told me it was FAKE,it was only painted
gold color,they also did a test on it and showed the necklace was made of cheap metals . ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT. TEMU does the same as they are the owners of AlliExpress. They would not refund me, saying the return time was finished, they said 10 days to return, I contacted them on 4th day!!!! Complete SCAMMERS AND FRAUDS. Absolutely disgusting customer service and bad business practices. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING GOLD OR STERLING SILVER FROM THESE STORES, You will be cheated out of your money . Always read the reviews BEFORE you buy anything from a e-commerce site. Learned my lesson, out of pocket 246.00 $

They took my money. I never received any of the items I purchased.…

I purchased a pair of boots and 4 clothing items and never received any. Ali express kept saying the items were shipped and will be there. They Never arrived and then they refused to refund my money after 3 months of waiting. I contacted the USPS and the tracking #s Ali gave me were not valid. They also said they see where some of the items were returned to Ali. So they have the merchandise and would not give me back my money. Run away from these thieves! I got my credit card co involved and so far have been able to get some of the money back. Ali continues to send me emails stating my items are "on the way" after 3 months. As I said, postal service already told me they were returned to sender. Shame on them.
I just read Ali Express reply. I tried dealing with your customer service and gave you all the information requested. The fact that I never received the merchandise and you still kept my money is not right. I called USPS and and was informed the package was sent back to you. So you have your merchandise returned to you and you have my money. Stop claiming you had insufficient information and stop with the patronizing "deepest apologies". You failed to do the right thing. What you did was called "stealing"

Scammers

Bought an item for £150 which was defective (no surprise from aliexpress). I have sent the item back to aliexpress. It has been over 3 weeks since the item was delivered back to them and I have not received a refund.

It is extremely difficult to contact aliexpress, the only way to talk to them is with the chat function, which is normally someone who does not understand English, making it really difficult. They then say they need to escalate to their senior, and after waiting, they will just send you an email which says wait, you need to be patient. This is in an effort to delay issuing a refund.

I suggest after you have tried without success to get a refund from aliexpress you contact you bank or card company and do a chargeback


First, ignore the positive reviews, most of them (what little their are) are fake, most of them are there just to stop aliexpress dropping to zero on the trustpilot trust score.

If you have had a problem with aliexpress refunds as lots of us have as they make it impossible to get a refund for a lost parcel, a damaged item or even the wrong items sent, I suggest you do a chargeback with your bank or credit card if you have had no success in getting refunded through aliexpress.

No refunds is normal behaviour for aliexpress, just read the negative one star reviews.

If you have had a bad experience with aliexpress (as most of us if not all on here have), please post your bad experience every day so you can warn others, we have to protect ourselves and fellow shoppers as nobody else will do it

(thats why aliexpress get away with no refunds etc, they know they can get away with it in general)

Also it is possible you may be able to Complain to Action Fraud UK and Trading Standards UK

And now they are getting the customer to pay the return postage (they say they will refund you, but dont expect to get it, I found that out the hard way, so have many others on here), also if you do manage to get them to accept a return dont expect to get all the money you paid back, they will find a way of only giving you a small amount back, and they will not give you your postage back.

They will ask you for unpacking videos to show damage or missing items in your parcel, and it turns out even if you did this and send them the video they will still find a way to refuse to refund, one person on here did that, sent them the video showing the item was missing and aliexpress still refused to refund stating not enough proof.

They will ask you to get a officially stamped letter from the post office to show non delivery for a lost parcel, but the problem there is aliexpress never send out items using the post office, they use evri or yodel, and evri and yodel will only send you a email and that still will be not enough proof for aliexpress, so again no refund.

evri or yodel will send you a email if they loose a parcel and tell you to contact and inform the sender (aliexpress), you do this and send them a screen shot of the email, but again it still will not be enough proof for aliexpress, and they will refuse to refund again.

aliexpress will ask you to contact Evri to get a official weight certificate for the package if you have a item missing, slight problem with that, Evri do not supply anything like that and never have done, all Evri will do is say "contact the sender", but I think aliexpress know this, its just another excuse so they dont have to refund you.

Yes you can appeal, but dont expect to get anywhere with it, you will just end up pulling your hair out, and still no refund.

aliexpress will always ask for the type of proof that cannot be got or supplied, so they dont have to refund

If you do decide to buy from them NEVER buy anything expensive from them, only spend as much as you can afford to loose, because if anything happens (damaged item, lost parcel, wrong item sent etc) the chances are you will not get a refund.

Its just how they work, they are not to be trusted on any level.

And they dont respect the distance selling rules we have here in the UK at all. I suppose they dont need to as they are in china. So again do a chargeback through your card or bank if you need to.

aliexpress are laughing at as all the way to the bank, they really should not be allowed to sell here in the UK, actually they are that bad they should not be allowed to sell in any country.

Best to just not buy anything from them at all, and warn your family and friends about them so they dont get ripped off by aliexpress.

Notice the message from aliexpress below when they reply, its all rubbish, I have been all through it before with them in the past on quite a few occasions and got nowhere, they say now "Due to the lack of valid evidence, our available options for resolving this matter are currently limited", they were not limited in the past when I went though it many Many MANY times with you and got absolutely nowhere, and now I refuse to jump through any more of your hoops.

PEOPLE NEED TO BE WARNED ABOUT HOW YOU BEHAVE. THATS WHY WE POST ONE STAR REVIEWS ON HERE

Don’t bother with this company more trouble than it’s worth

They are difficult to get hold of in fact impossible I have tried 4 email addresses and they still get sent back with wrong email.
So frustrated. £30 down the pan. Items have not arrived yet it says they have been delivered. I will never use this company again
