"We just took a trip to Ladakh through Active Adventure. The management has been great. They have been very attentive to us at all times. Our guide, Tashi, is a professional, with incredible knowledge of every corner we have visited. Likewise, the hotels we have been in were 4 stars, but they could perfectly have been 5... All sightseeing was done by a small bus (we were a small group), and we also valued it positively, since it was very comfortable, with the air conditioning at the perfect temperature and the driver Ali, took us safely, taking into account the difficulties in driving in this country.
We will repeat without a doubt!"

We spend an amazing 7nights/8 days in Ladakh.The whole experience was made memorable by Active Adventure. Dorjay was very hands on and even complied our last minute itinerary change to include the Umling La Pass. A trip u will never regret .

We had the most wonderful holiday in magical Ladakh. The experience exceeded my family's expectations who, safe to say, were blown away, even though the weather threatened to play spoilsport on occasion. Thank you to Thinlay Dorje at Active Adventures for organising everything seamlessly - from air ticket booking, airport pickup and drop, the very well maintained vehicle for our travels, and to the permits that were required for travel to the more remote regions. Stobdan, our driver over nearly 4 days, was thoroughly professional, a gentleman and an excellent driver. The choice of hotels that Active Adventures works with was great too, and we had a great experience at each of them (at Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake). Thinlay himself was courteous and very responsive to our requests, and I would not hesitate in recommending him to others who are looking to travel to Ladakh. We ended our trip without a single glitch and with memories to last a lifetime.

I came across this local tour operator by chance while searching online, and I relied on them for my one-week trip to Ladakh. I couldn’t have made a better choice. From the very first moment, I was happily assisted by Dorjay, who helped us create a personalized itinerary based on our ideas and needs, which turned out to be perfect. We had an extraordinary week—the quality of the included hotels was truly excellent—but above all, we had the pleasure of spending the week with our driver Lothus, who truly made a difference in our experience. A wonderful, friendly person and an extremely knowledgeable guide—in short, the best person to share this experience with! Thank you again.

Dorjay inspired trust from the first contact: quick to respond, precise, able to interpret requests and provide personalized solutions. We asked him to organize a 16-day itinerary for us that would include some off-the-beaten-path destinations, including dedicated treks, and that would allow us to better connect with the local population and culture at high altitude; the outcome was very positive.
He relies on a network of skilled collaborators (drivers, guides, and other local operators), who are well-trained and speak excellent English, and uses modern, well-maintained, and comfortable means of transport. He quickly handles the procedures for access permits to specific areas and facilitates initial on-site procedures (e.g., SIM cards, local cash, any medications); he knows and can guide those arriving in Ladakh in adapting to the high altitude, always carrying oxygen tanks and masks, and providing particularly helpful advice.
He selects accommodations suited to the request and highlights any shortcomings (water, electricity) due to the area or the season, which the visitor should be aware of. He promptly handled a necessary change of plans due to the closure of the Khardung La Pass due to a landslide/accident. Finally, he makes payments simple and transparent (which is not a given).
He helped us discover a fascinating land, a very interesting culture, and spent a very pleasant holiday in the complexity of a border region. It will be a pleasure to return...
I recommend Dorjay and Active Adventure to anyone who wants to safely and personally organize an authentic and meaningful stay in Ladakh (and possibly Kashmir), immersed in the local culture and managing the high-altitude adventure with peace of mind.

Having really great and unforgettable experience at the Himalaya with Galtsan as a reliable and resourceful driver. He’s been very friendly and caring throughout which made our trip warmer. Also thanks to Dorjay for upgrading our hotel and giving us some nice Ladakh T-shirts! Well done, guys!

Decided to travel to Ladakh for the first time but was afraid of the high altitude. Found a few local tour agencies that can bring me around based on my requirements but decided to go with Dorjay’s service. Eventhough most tour agencies here offer the same services, I am really touched by how sincere and attentive he and his crew can be.
The crew is very responsive and flexible in arrangement, and they put tourist safety and wellbeing at the top priority. When travelling with them, you feel extremely safe
He personally came to my hotel to check on me when I was having altitude sickness, and helped me to recover by day 2 so that I can visit all the places that I want. His crew Tsewang is also very knowledgeable about the history of Ladakh, and gave me a very good understanding of the culture here. Throughout my 4 days there, I visited so many beautiful landscapes and monasteries, probably my best trip in awhile! The hotel he arranged for me is also extremely satisfactory, I really enjoyed my stay.
If you are looking for a local tour or guide with reasonable rates, do engage their services!

He is the travelraja of ladakh, not love to bargaining, you may seem his quotation is bit higher than others but his service was excellent , all the hotels are awesome, Lzakar Guest house the best one in leh what a mouth watering food we had, alchi resort at alchi, hotel siachen in nubra, serbhum resort at pangong & lake view hotel at tsomorori just awesome, Driver as well as friend philosopher guide Sonam Nurboo was awesome, In a word whole trip was awesome for only Dorjay sir , Sonam nurboo bhai and last but not the least mrs. sonam and her mouth watering food and presentation of food with great smile in lzakar guest house, in a word i can say 'all izz well', will give dorjay sir 5 out of 5...........................All the very Best Active Adventures India -Ladakh...........................
