Taken our money and not sent goods

Ordered a couple of dog beds on the 8th January. They have taken the money but we haven’t received the beds. We have sent numerous emails, and called multiple times but are yet to hear where our beds are.....

Thank you for your review. Active Hound very sadly, is in the throws of liquidation.

We have been taking advice from our accountants and The Insolvency Service (the government) on how best to proceed as not to accidentally pay monies to parties that can be considered as “preference payments”. The rules are very strict and punitive for those that break them. I am pleased to however confirm that all customers expecting an order or exchange ‘should’ qualify for a refund.

Unfortunately, your name does not match our records so I would be grateful if you could reach out to me personally on zak@activehound.co.uk so that I can identify you and deal with your refund myself.

Blame Black Friday blame the post office
I say stop blaming everyone else got on with your job by been active and get items sent out in a reasonable time. Too slow will not be recommending you to any one very disappointed and a waste off my time emailing you and ringing never again and please delete my details from your mailing list that’s how bad you was

Whilst I am genuinely very sorry for the delay to your order, I am pleased to say we were proactive in reaching out to you first just to keep you posted. When your order was despatched on the Saturday, this was done so on an upgraded Royal 24 Tracked service with a tracking number provided to you. Royal Mail have taken four days to deliver this to you which is very disappointing and I can only apologise for this further delay. Sometimes, no matter what we do the rub of the green just doesn't go our way so we just have to hold our hands up and apologise.

Please forgive us for the annoyance of this order and we are very sorry to see you go.

I ordered through an offer on facebook…

I ordered through an offer on facebook Yak chews order £23 buy 2 get 3rd free. receipt said 2-3 days, when I called to chase order I was told that it had not been send , when I questioned there managing expectations, I was told I could cancel, which I didnt want to do. He then said he was cancelling my order and hung up. I called back they hung up, then I called again and they remained silent, I asked them to not cancel my order and I apologised but no response. Their campaign may be successful and profitable, however when business is slow customer service is crucial. Disappointed as I looked forward to dealing with a small independent business.
I saw your reply I was not abusive I never swore or anything, yes I expressed displeasure at not getting a notification email saying there was a delay,(i got one saying you were a lovely family ran business, which I thought very nice) but at no point did I ask or expect to have my order cancelled. If you cannot accept a customer being annoyed (not abusive) its very poor. I didn't see you address the hanging very unprofessional.

I have to hold my hands up to apologise for the slower than usual despatch which has been due to a rather unprecedented demand from a Facebook advert we ran. New stock has arrived and we are approximately 1 day behind schedule.

As expressly explained to you in our telephone conversation, we will not tolerate abusive nor aggressive behaviour because quite frankly, there is just no need for it. We are a friendly bunch and bend over backwards to help customers.

I am very sorry but due to what was directed at me from yourself, on this occasion I elected to cancel your order and refund you in full.

I would highly recommend Active Hound …

I would highly recommend Active Hound to anyone who expects excellent customer service. I loved the experience of buying a Hurtta harness for my Labrador puppy from Active Hound. As soon as I emailed Zak (at the company) I had a reply within minutes. I placed the order and it arrived the next day. The little quirky additional touches to the email address and supporting paperwork brought a little smile to my face. I would highly recommend Active Hound to anyone and I will be telling all of our dog walking friends. An excellent level of customer service and I will be a repeat customer.

I bought a few item for my dog free …

I bought a few item for my dog free delivery, nice balls as a present. Unfortunately harnesses were the wrong size so sent back and a few days later I ve got the new ones. Very happy. cons I paid for my parcel return postage back to then.
