Salesman knowledge was outstanding. Took a minute for material to arrive but install was scheduled right after it came in. Installers were great and super careful with our furniture. Overall great experience.

My husband and I are exceptionally grateful we found Todd and Chuy from Advanced Carpet One in Des Peres. Our remodel was abrupt and unexpected, so we were a little lost and overwhelmed. Working with Todd and Chuy on flooring and a backsplash was, unquestionably, the highlight and easiest part of our untimed journey.
I’ve heard stories where people had to continually prod their contractors, but my experience was the opposite. Todd was on it and was a fantastic guide through the process. He scheduled everything and led us through decisions, and he came to our home several times to bring additional samples and to check on the work. He listened and remembered our style choices and was always prepared with options that fit our descriptions. At one point, I told him he hit the mark when I wasn’t even sure where the mark was or if it was obtainable. The hardwood floors, carpet runner for the stairs, and backsplash are better than I originally imagined.
Chuy is a remarkably skilled craftsman, and his attention to detail is refreshing and quite unusual. Seriously, everything he did was perfection. He laid pieces out and carefully considered color and size variation. If something was put in that he didn’t like or he thought was a little off, he went back and changed his work. He didn’t rush or cut corners. Even his care in something as simple as proper baseboard removal and the time he spent locating and fixing floor squeaks was noticeable. He hand-stained the vent covers with various stain colors to match the flooring…he gave thought to the smallest of details. I had advanced knowledge when he was coming, and one night he even text to let me know he was going to be 15 minutes later than normal the next morning. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m excited when workers show up at all, so Chuy’s professionalism certainly stood out.
Todd and Chuy gave us a sense of peace and relief in knowing everything they were involved with was done to the highest of standards. I am so impressed and will continue to recommend them to everyone. We are thrilled with their work.

I used the advance carpet one in Des Peres, Mo. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Lack of ownership. Lack of communication. Lack of professionalism. Our salesperson was so incompetent I refused to let him back in my home. Their manager is even worse. Kitchen floor squeaks. Refrigerator line was broken and they told me to fix it. Dishwasher re-installed improperly and water all over new floor. DO NOT USE THUS COMPANY!!

If I could rate them a zero I would have. Buyer beware! They are not trustworthy and don’t stand behind their install progress or products. They installed a kitchen floor in my home. A calamity of errors including wrong product delivered, installers walking off job, broke my refrigerator water line that they wouldn’t fix (I had too), reinstalled my dishwasher incorrectly which leaked all over. I had to fix that too. In dealing with the manager he was very slow (takes 25 to 30 days for a response). Terrible service. DO NOT USE THEM! Now my floor squeaks and manager won’t communicate with me!

When the salesman came out to measure he assured me they would move the appliances and were very professional about it. I was charged half down $850 dollars with the remainder to be due after the Vinyl kitchen flooring was laid. The installers showed up and said they won't move the appliances because they were new and they didn't want to be responsible for them getting dented or if they scratched the floor. The company would not refund my money and said I would have to hire a moving company to move the appliances. My only other option was to rent a truck to pick up the flooring from them, hire installers, AND a moving company to come out TWICE, once to move the appliances out and return some hours later to bring them back in! Bottom line this is an untrustworthy TERRIBLE company that didn't stand by their word. We ended up going with another company that said no problem moving the appliances and took the $800 loss.

Karyn was our sales rep and found us exactly what we wanted at a great price. Rich from Plaza Floors was our installer and he did an excellent job with the install! He was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. We will definitely use them for all our flooring needs.

Another great job by Advance Carpet One! Susan Cherkiss and her crew of professional installers are simply the best. We will continue to use them for all of our flooring needs. Thanks everyone!

We had a very positive experience with Advance Carpet One. They showed up on time and the installation was well done and the house left clean afterwards. We live north of Kansas City but the project was for my mother in law's house in Ballwin. We visited the showroom on Manchester to select the carpet and pad but other than that the scheduling of measurement and installation were handled over the phone without any problem. Mother in law gave the job a thumbs up and when we came back into town to inspect the work we were very pleased with the attention to detail and that there was no damage to the walls or trim during the installation. Would recommend working with them, comfortable with how they take care of their customers.

This transaction was not good from the beginning. We should have known when we went into the showroom and the representative basically pointed us toward some things to look at but didn't show a great deal of interest in us. On two subsequent visits when we encountered two different reps, it was the same - no one was really concerned about the sale. Well, instead of leaving and going elsewhere, we stayed with them, ordered flooring and carpeting and booked the installation. Installation day was a horror! The fellow who came to install the wood floor and upstairs bathroom vinyl said they didn't book a big enough crew to finish the job in the time frame they promised (he was a one-man show with his son there to help him carry things). He was very nice and very apologetic - said he wasn't told the size or specifics of the job. He left - and after two hours of phone calls back and forth with the office, he returned to do the job - two hours wasted. (The dispatcher, whose name I unfortunately have forgotten, seems to have been the only one there really working to help us and to make things right.) Plus, they had to find a different installer to work on the bathroom because of the scope of the project being too much for the first guy. We had asked to speak with an owner or manager, neither of which ever bothered to call us back. Apparently, our sales rep was not experienced in communicating with anyone - with us, with the dispatcher or office staff. PLUS, she had not communicated to anyone (including us) that there were two toilets that needed to be pulled and that WE needed to book a plumber to come and replace them. After the fact, the two toilets stood out in the hallways until we could get an appointment with a plumber. The following installation was the carpet on the stairs by a third person. We were left with TWO pieces of spare wood for any future repairs and an offer to SELL us a box of the wood. No one from the company ever contacted us to apologize for all the issues involved. They were right there with the final bill, of course. The sad part of this whole thing is that the three installers all did a VERY good job. The wood floors look great and the bathroom floor looks great and the carpet on the stairs is beautiful. They all were very good at their jobs and the end result is fine. Wish they worked for a more together company. But knowing what we know now, we would have walked away from this company after that first visit with a very disinterested sales person and certainly after the second visit when we got a similar reception. I am putting two stars instead of just one because of the good job the installers did.

Save yourself the stress...CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY!

First of all, I'm not the type of person to write reviews but my experience was beyond horrible that I feel it's my "civil duty" to tell my story.

We ordered a simple carpet runner from the location in Des Peres from Jim Mers and it ended up being the worst customer experience I've ever had. Where do I begin...

I reached out to Jim because our install date was supposed to be September 17th since the carpet had been shipped out on the 12th. Jim informed me that there might be a delay due to hurricane Florence but would keep the install date set and would let me know if there was indeed a delay in shipment. Lone behold, the 17th rolls around and no install. I called and got the run-around from Jim trying to blame the hurricane for the carpet not being delivered. However, the carpet was coming from Georgia (not anywhere near the hurricane) TWO DAYS BEFORE THE HURRICANE hit so clearly he was lying about that. Fast forward to the 27th after numerous calls to them to find out when the carpet would be arriving so I could set up the install AGAIN. The office assistant, Ola provided ZERO information on what was going on with the order and simply kept apologizing for the inconvenience. She countlessly told me Jim would call with detail on the status of the carpet but he NEVER CALLED after about 4 rounds of trying to speak with him for answers. Finally Ola informed me that Fed-Ex "lost the carpet" and they aren't sure what's going on but they are a ordering new one. They denied my request for a discount for the inconvenience so I had my husband call another location to try and get more answers. He spoke with Susan from the Ballwin store that was able to provide all of the detail that Jim and Ola avoided for over a week in just a few minutes. A claim had to be filed on the lost carpet. Unfortunately, the carpet was out of stock so it had to be re-manufactured and we wouldn't get the runner for weeks. We decided to cancel the order and go with another company. Do yourself a huge favor and don't purchase flooring from the Des Peres location. If you do, I HIGHLY recommend you don't work with Jim Mers.

There was a mistake made with our order by the salesperson. The manager had to fix the problem, but there was no communication to follow up. We had to make another visit to the store in order for someone to call and tell us when the problem would be fixed. We finally received an apology from the salesperson by email. The only good part of the process is that the installation team was great. We will not be suggesting this company to others or working with them any more in the future.

Per the painter the installers of the carpet and pad were hard on the painted walls and dirty hands upon removing the white painted 6 panel doors.

Rhonda was wonderful.

Returns were painful. Moving furniture was a very dramatic and costly event. Products seem ok for selling the house. We like them.

We are very happy with our new carpeting. Our Sales rep was very helpful l and and very excellent at her job. We would highly recommend Advance Carpet One Floor & Home to anyone looking for flooring.

The staff at the store in Advance Carpet One were VERY professional, not pushy, and educated about their products. They allowed us to take our time and answered all of our questions with patience and clarity. Install was quick with the workers being timely and efficient. I did notice some paint touch ups that needed to be done after the fact and one door did get scratched that will need to be dealt with later down the road, unfortunately. Other than, service was very good.

This is the second time we have purchased flooring thru Advance One. Both times the sales staff went out of their way to help with out with tight time lines. The second time I was very dissatisfied with the installation. The flooring was put down fine. When the installer re-installed the toilet, he cross threaded the fitting on the tank. We were not living there at the time, when I came by a few days later, it had soaked the floor and run down into the basement, fortunately the basement was not finished. He know it was leaking since he left a bucket underneath the tank to catch the water. I also had to re-clue most the quarter round he out down, there was a drop every few feet on it, so it came loose the next day,
