Avoid aFerry
Avoid aFerry. I booked a ticket from Dover to Calais, but their system confirmed the opposite route (Calais to Dover). They refused to refund or help, and the customer service was terrible. I also found that tickets were much cheaper when bought directly at the port. Based on my experience, I felt completely misled and would recommend avoiding them.

AFerries serious booking mess-up
Booked return daytrip ticket Cateret-Jersey Jersey-Carteret. Had booking confirmation by email and payment taken from my bank account by AFerry. At the Manche Iles Express check-in desk the woman said we weren't booked on the outward boat! There was no sign of our names on the booking system. We were only booked on the return boat Jersey -Carteret that evening. I showed her the email confirmation and she could see I had indeed made the booking and it was not my mistake and she said AFerry bookings often have problems which is not good publicity for you. She was able to create the outward sailing tickets BUT it was only because there were places left on the boat. If there hadn't been we would have been turned away and you can be sure AFerry that I would have been straight onto you for a full refund and apology. My daughter would have been so disappointed. I will not be booking with AFerry again- for the sake of 8 euros off the Manche Iles Express price.

Avoid aFerry. I booked a Dover–Calais crossing, but the booking was issued for the wrong direction. I contacted aFerry immediately and was told to go to the P&O office at the port to amend it. P&O then refused to amend the booking, forcing me to buy a new ticket with Irish Ferries.
Afterwards, aFerry refused to take responsibility, saying they were only an intermediary, while P&O pointed me back to them. I followed their instructions and still lost my money.
In my opinion, their booking system and customer service feel like a scam. Avoid them I won’t be using aFerry again
