STAY WELL CLEAR!

STAY WELL CLEAR!

I wouldn’t recommend this company at all

The way the test is worded makes it seem like it will clearly identify your triggers, but it doesn’t make it clear enough that false negatives are possible. This is especially concerning when it comes to serious allergies, as false reassurance could be dangerous.

My results showed no reaction and that didn’t reflect my actual reactions at all, so it wasn’t helpful. I have a nut allergy and touching a nut will give me a reaction so the test coming back negative was very misleading! I’ve been emailing the company back and forth, but they’ve not been willing to resolve the issue and just keep referring back to their website wording.

For something costing over £100, I expected much clearer and more transparent information, seems like the company just want your money . Dont waste it here!

Amazing team

Amazing team. I needed a result quickly, and they emailed me fast and explained the results so helpfully. Now I have my son, whom I didn't think I had.

Affinity DNA offer a quick service and clear to understand results

I used Affinity DNA for a Homocysteine Methylation screening test. The kit arrived the next day and I received my results within a week of returning my DNA saliva swab samples - They received my samples a day after I sent them with their pre-paid signed for service on 12th Feb 2026 and I received the results on 19th Feb 2026.
The results report was easy to understand and contained useful information explaining what the results meant and countermeasures to take and advice based on the results (unlike others that I have seen posted in Facebook groups)
I had some trouble trying to print the results document and had to contact customer services by email. The responses were very prompt and it turned out that my phone's browser was not allowing me to print, so when I followed the advisor's advice to use a computer, I was able to print my report.
I will be using Affinity again for the full methylation panel now that I know I have a genetic variant on my MTHFR gene.

It is worth noting that both Affinity DNA and Easy DNA appear to be the same company as they both operate under Endeavour DNA Inc. so you might want to read Easy DNA UK’s reviews in conjunction with Affinity DNA reviews. You will notice that Easy DNA have replied to one of the Affinity DNA reviews on this page and my test was ordered through Affinity but processed by Endeavour DNA LLC

Thank you, Loobizaz, for taking the time to share such a detailed review ⭐

We truly appreciate your clear breakdown of the timeline. As you mentioned, your samples were received on 12 February and your results were issued on 19 February 2026, which falls well within the expected turnaround time for the Homocysteine Methylation Screening Test. We are pleased to hear the process was smooth and efficient for you.

It is especially rewarding to know that you found the report easy to understand and informative. We place strong emphasis on ensuring our reports not only present genetic findings clearly, but also provide meaningful context and practical guidance based on the results.

We are also glad our support team was able to quickly assist with the printing issue. Sometimes browser settings, particularly on mobile devices, can restrict certain download or print functions, and we are pleased this was resolved promptly once accessed via a computer.

Regarding your comment on company structure, Affinity DNA and EasyDNA are indeed brands operating under the same parent organisation, Endeavor DNA, Inc., with laboratory processing carried out by our accredited facilities. Regardless of the brand through which an order is placed, all tests follow the same quality standards, laboratory protocols, and customer care procedures.

We look forward to supporting you again with the full methylation panel and thank you once again for your trust in our services.

Updated Review

Further to my original review, I did eventually receive a full refund — but only after I had to persistently follow it up.

Today I received an email asking me to delete my review. I was very surprised by this, especially as I had hoped for an apology or acknowledgment of the issues I experienced. Instead, I felt the focus was on removing the review rather than addressing my concerns.

Given the overall experience and the response I received, I do not feel comfortable amending or removing my review.

Original Experience

I ordered a DNA kit for my cockatiel and paid extra for the required forms. After waiting three weeks with no delivery, I contacted the company. I was told the kit had been sent and was provided with a Royal Mail tracking number. I was advised I should receive it the following day.

The item did not arrive. When I contacted online chat, I was informed that I would not be receiving a physical kit and that I needed to send samples myself. However, I had not been provided with clear instructions, forms, or an address to send anything to.

I immediately requested a refund but was told this could not be processed via chat and that I would need to email instead, which I did.

The lack of clear communication, conflicting information, and difficulty resolving the issue left me extremely disappointed.

Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

Dear Heidi,

We’re very concerned to read your updated comments.

To clarify the facts, your order was fully refunded on 5 February, and confirmation of this was sent to the email address used when placing your order. Once processed on our side, refunds can take a few working days to appear back in the original payment method, depending on your bank.

There was some initial confusion because we were contacted from a different email address than the one registered on the order. For data protection and GDPR compliance, we can only discuss and process orders through the original email address provided at checkout. Once this was clarified, the refund was issued accordingly.

Regarding the testing process, avian DNA tests require feather samples to be sent to the laboratory. Depending on the purchase option selected, a physical collection kit is not always dispatched, as clearly stated during the ordering process.

We strongly refute any suggestion that our company engages in misleading practices. We are an established international DNA testing provider, and your case was resolved with a full refund.

We remain confident that this matter was handled appropriately and in line with our policies.

Kind regards, management Team.

Hi Karl,

Thanks for updating your review — we appreciate you sharing your experience.

We’re truly sorry again for the delay and any frustration this may have caused. While delays can occasionally happen due to factors outside our control (like sample transit times or lab capacity), we do our best to make things right when they do.

We’re glad our management team was able to resolve the issue quickly and process your refund. Your feedback has been shared internally as part of our ongoing commitment to improving communication and customer care.

Wishing you all the best,
The EasyDNA Team

results completely wrong

The results were completely wrong, they could have been made up completely, and then after nearly a month trying to sort it out with customer services they blame it on their databases and havent bothered to reply to my emails since. I feel scammed! Dont waste your money!
(FYI the company they use for the health and ancestry tests is tellmegen, I'd avoid anyone that uses them)

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you feel disappointed with your experience. Please rest assured that all tests are processed by accredited laboratories that follow strict scientific standards — meaning the results cannot be fabricated and have a zero percent chance of being “made up.”

In certain cases, tellmeGen is indeed one of our trusted providers. However, we also work with an international network of laboratories, which gives our customers access to a wide range of accredited and reliable testing options.

We always aim to provide clear guidance on timelines, which begin once samples arrive at the lab. While we do not have control over postal services or logistics, we remain committed to assisting clients through the process and addressing any concerns that may arise.

We’d be more than happy to review your case further — please reach out to us again directly so we can make sure all your queries are fully resolved.

Don't deal with these people, absolute disgrace

I ordered a DNA kit for my dog from Affinity DNA, it cost £73. The pack looked good when it arrived and the instructions were clear enough. I didn't register or carry out the test straight away.
I registered my details and sent out my samples in November. I had an email saying that they had received my registration but not my samples. However, they said it could take 2-3 weeks for samples to arrive. I heard nothing more until I contacted them again today. Incredibly, they told me that they had discontinued the samples they sent me. They offered me 10% discount - no refund - as a gesture of goodwill. They could have contacted me any time to let me know that my kit was worthless and my £73 was lost. Absolute disgrace.

Thank you for your review. We completely understand your frustration. Please allow us to clarify how our process works. Our timelines and guarantees begin once the laboratory receives your samples. Unfortunately, if samples are sent back after a long delay and a particular service has been discontinued by the laboratory, this is outside of our control. These decisions are made by the labs, and we must comply with their scientific and operational standards.

We always try to support our clients as best we can, which is why in such cases we offer goodwill alternatives, such as discounts or replacement options, even though the situation lies beyond our responsibility.

We value your feedback and will take it into account to improve communication so clients are reminded about potential service changes if samples are delayed.
