I bought a t-roc from them

I bought a t-roc from them
I was driving home in it and noticed a chip in the windscreen, I called them up straight away and told them, they said I could get it done and then send them the bill to pay, I then noticed that the fuel cap was snapped and had been placed on the car and wasn’t secured properly. When I told them again this ( it was still under warranty) a few weeks later after coming back from holiday they told me that it a shame I noticed the chip after ‘a long drive back to Sheffield’ insinuating it happened on my way back home and then told me that the fuel cap was not broken when they had the car (it falls off in your hands when you press it to open)
So now I’ve had to spend £40 on a chip on the car on my insurance to get it fixed- when I paid £150 to get my windscreen fixed for them on my part ex car that had a crack prior (they managed to notice that) and buy a new fuel cap off Amazon which has cost me £70.
Not happy at all
When I wrote an email to them with the issues I was having I did not get one sorry, it was just an immediate back up situation trying to cover themselves instead of trying to fix the problems, with it being a 120 mile drive and 3h round trip away from my house I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle/time/fuel sending it back for them to fix. Just annoying when you trust someone and they just ignore easy fixes like that for them but big annoying fixes for me and sell the car anyway, I fully believe they knew there was a chip in the windscreen and the fuel cap was snapped and just wanted to see if they could get away with it.

Please Avoid at all costs

Hi, my names Kieran. I have several mental health conditions that are all medicated that includes schizophrenia, BP and ADHD. I take a range of anti psychotics and antidepressants - I’m a bit screwed in the head basically, I struggle on a day to day basis. Recently I got involved with this company again and the toxicity it involved shows me why I ended up sectioned the first time I dealt with them, these conditions sometimes make it hard to let things go and it becomes an impulsive obsession - it’s not something I can turn off, my brain isn’t wired that way - the fact I’m explaining my disabilities on here is weird. I became known in the local community of 2020 when the Wolds Weekly did an article of a DVLA medical revocation eventually winning my 7 year battle to get my licence back because of the mental health problems listed above - as someone who loved cars as I grew up working on my grandads classics. I was delighted when I got that bloody pink card through the post, fragile and beaten but so excited. I found a car I fell in love with, the decals were brilliant and the white caught my eye in the forecourt. I saw the Corvette at shows, I trusted them. it’s funny how I still help clear all the litter that gets dumped in the local stream next to their old local business as I am a member of Friends of The Beck. Despite challenge after challenge i still do my part, I think it may be a result of the way I acted in the beginning when problems were encountered that screwed me in the long run but truth be said I was unmedicated at that time and it was a result of the conditions above. I just wish to advise people on the situation, I’m finally at a turning point of where I can possibly get my money back and resolve the ongoing mental issues my brain refuses to let go, 3 years down the line and we are nearly there. The moment it became clear to me is when Mike Addington opened my eyes and I realised it’s not just me, the fact this company made me think it’s my fault, took the piss and belittled my mental health all became very apparent. If you’re in a battle with this company, please remain strong - collect as much evidence as you possibly can and take them to court. If you’re struggling financially you can apply for a grant to waive the cost of court fees - i only found out about this after paying them. Unfortunately, my legal battle has come to a standstill until some local authorities give us the all clear, but I’m chasing daily. I very much like the business (I’m a car guy and having that on your doorstep and seeing the massive trucks delivering them) it’ll eventually give me something half decent to look at when my wife’s in Aldi (when it opens) my intention isn’t to hurt their business by leaving this review but to just show my experience and maybe a little insight. If your sound minded give them a shot, however if your a bit screwed in the head like me - please don’t risk it. I apologise sincerely to Affordable for the way I acted, it’s a shame we couldn’t sort this amicably and you’re going to dry me out in legal fees now on top of that. As stated I have blocked the email addresses now but feel this review is an accurate representation.

Will do the bare minimum......if you push them!

Beware when considering this dealership. I bought a van from them in October. The same day it overheated and on Boxing Day the engine blew up. After a lot of heel dragging, the van is finally fixed and ready to pick up. I've had to pay £1092 for diagnostics by Citroen and nearly £5000 in hire vehicles during this period. Affordable Cars Driffield wouldn't even deliver the van back to me and have made me travel down from Scotland. They have done nothing but the bare minimum and have taken 5 months to fix the van. When I contacted them after they'd had it for three weeks they informed me that they hadn't even looked at it as there was another vehicle on the ramp.
Avoid this dealership at all costs!!

Questionable ?

Mmmm,
Cant beat being told to f off by the salesman because you question how a car can have numerous faults that should have been spotted at mot done 48 hrs earlier and other faults that should really have been picked up on at the " 50 point " check ??
Broke down twice within 2 days of ownership and had to be recovered and sales guy very unhappy when requested an understandable full refund ....
Questionable checks ??
Buyer beware

Brilliant service - definitely recommend

I would highly recommend Driffield affordable cars. I found myself unexpectedly without a car and the team worked really hard to find me something that suited my needs and was within my budget. I dealt with Danny who was incredibly knowledegable and friendly and guided me through the whole car-buying process perfectly. Near the purchase date, due to unforeseen circumstances, there was potentially going to be a delay in when I could collect the car but the team pulled out all the stops to ensure this didn't happen and I was able to collect the car as planned. Brilliant service - thank you so much!

Great friendly service

Would highly recommend affordable cars. We visited and were able to look around and take our time and we were left alone to do this, which was really nice, and when we needed assistance it was on hand. The whole process was very smooth. They even ordered us a parcel shelf when the car we purchased didn't have one. Very good customer service. Thank you so much!

Ended up buying two cars!

Took my daughter to Affordable Cars Driffield to view a car she had seen on their website. Both Andrew and Danny were very helpful but not at all pushy. We ended up buying the car my daughter viewed and spotted another car. My wife and I went back and my wife purchased this car as well. Hassle free purchases and also great after sales service with a couple of minor issues fixed after the purchases.

Don’t trust them and do your research

My daughter purchased a car and within a week of ownership it lost coolant. They took the car back, tested it and said it wasn’t loosing coolant. Drove the car and lo and behold a week later it had lost coolant again. Despite taking it to an independent garage and a main dealer who both advised it did lose coolant whilst with them and was likely to be a head gasket, they still deny there is/was a problem with the car. They took it back after a complaint but at a loss of £1,700. I found them dismissive and dishonest and wouldn’t recommend them to someone I didn’t like

Avoid at all costs!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Sold a young man a car with a 3 month warranty and then told him that 2/3 repairs needed in that period weren't covered. All contact ceased before the 3 months expired as they refused to answer any queries. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and the salesmen are fine until he had issues with the car. The car that he received was not fit for purpose and he is entitled to a full refund or repair but Affordable will not reply to this. Avoid at all costs.

Truely shocking. Ignore your calls and don’t get back to you when your car has a fault. Should have known these guys were dodgy. They’ve even left themselves 5 star reviews on here without even disguising there own names. Laughable.
