Worst airline… do not fly… cancelled…
Worst airline… do not fly… cancelled flights, missing/damaged luggage. Reps are very rude. incompetent and cooperative … Avoid this airline
Flights cancellations delays and rude staff!! Air France
Rude staff, cancelled flights and delays! Air France! Rudest lady at the boarding reception in Dulles. I asked for an exception for an extra weight because my friend and I are traveling to multiple countries and I cannot loose my carry on bag that has all my clothes and she did not allow it and rudely…..
Air France and €150 fine
Just as I was about to praise them for good service and class compare to BA..not anymore.
Extremely disappointing experience with Air France.
I was charged €150 simply for not taking the inbound flight, despite the fact that my entire original airfare cost less than that.
I understand that airlines have fare rules and conditions, but charging €150 for a missed flight when the original ticket itself cost less feels completely disproportionate. It is difficult to see this as anything other than a punitive charge designed to extract more money from the passenger.
The frustrating part is that there was no meaningful flexibility or consideration of the circumstances — just a €150 charge.
For a major airline like Air France, I expected much better customer service and a more reasonable approach. A €150 penalty that exceeds the price of the original ticket is simply unacceptable to me.
Very disappointing. I will certainly think twice before booking with Air France again.
Disastrous Mobility Service at Paris CDG — A Kind French Lady Was a Savior, but Air France Failed Us
I am writing this to express my deep frustration with Air France’s special assistance services at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). If you are traveling with young children, small kids, or senior citizens who require wheelchair or mobility support, please avoid this airline!.
We booked confirmed wheelchair and mobility support for my family traveling from Paris to Bengaluru (BLR). Despite explicit confirmations, no wheelchair assistance was provided upon arrival. My family, along with nearly 8–9 other elderly couples (some 80+ years old), were left completely stranded and struggling to reach their connecting flight.
Unfortunately, this is a recurring issue. On a previous trip, my elderly parents—who do not speak English or French and had no transit visa—were taken by wheelchair to the wrong connecting gate (DEL instead of BLR), causing them to miss their flight.
To make matters worse, Air France provided no immediate alternative flight and told them to take a hotel in France, which was impossible without a visa. In that dire moment, a French lady acted like a God-sent savior for my parents. This compassionate bystander stepped in, argued passionately with the Air France authorities on their behalf, and finally secured them a same-day rebooking. Because of Air France's error, their original 10-hour flight turned into a grueling 18-hour journey with an extra layover.
While the French people we encountered were wonderfully helpful, Air France's ground management and special assistance are completely unacceptable. If Air France cannot reliably provide mobility and wheelchair services at Paris CDG, they must remove the option from their web portal instead of misleading passengers. Until their services improve, I strongly recommend travelers needing assistance or traveling with senior citizens book with better airlines.
Worse than Ryan air
Worse than Ryan air
80 euros for 2 kilos of extra weight
Worst company
Lost a customer for life
Absolute disgrace of a company / made us pay 80€ and check in a bag because we were 1,5kg over - never book with these crooks again.
Anybody working for Air France should be ashamed to work for such a disgusting company
OMG VERY BAD SERVICE 👎

Air France
Air France: An Absolute Disgrace
I have never experienced anything quite this dishonest and infuriating from an airline.
Air France canceled my girlfriend’s confirmed flight without notifying her in any way. No email. No text. No phone call. Nothing.
She found out only when she showed up at the airport expecting to board the flight she had already paid for.
When she went to the Air France counter to find out what happened, she was told that the problem was supposedly with the credit card used to purchase the ticket and that it had been flagged for fraud.
That was a lie.
The card was an American Express card. We contacted American Express immediately, and they confirmed that there was no fraud issue, no problem with the transaction, and no action taken by Amex that would have caused this cancellation.
In other words, Air France blamed the customer and her credit card for a problem that was apparently an internal Air France issue.
But somehow the story gets even worse.
After Air France canceled her reservation and left her to deal with the mess at the airport, they offered to sell her the exact same seat on the exact same flight for roughly twice the price.
Let that sink in.
They canceled a paid reservation without telling the passenger, gave her a bogus explanation for why it happened, and then tried to charge her approximately double to get back onto the flight she had already paid for.
That doesn't feel like an innocent mistake. It feels like a company taking advantage of a passenger who has been put in an extremely vulnerable position.
Air France didn't just screw up. They failed at every level.
They failed to notify the passenger.
They failed to provide an honest explanation.
They failed to take responsibility for their own mistake.
And then, instead of fixing the problem, they apparently saw an opportunity to charge the passenger substantially more money.
Absolutely disgusting.
I understand that airlines have cancellations, computer problems, booking errors, and other operational issues. That's part of travel. What separates a respectable airline from a terrible one is how it handles those mistakes.
Air France's response was essentially: “We canceled your flight, didn't bother telling you, blamed your credit card, and now we'll sell you the same seat again for twice the price.”
That is not customer service.
That is not acceptable.
And frankly, it is a complete crock of shit.
I will remember this experience every time I consider booking a flight. Air France has permanently lost my trust, and I will go out of my way to avoid giving this airline another dollar.
If this is how Air France treats passengers when something goes wrong, travelers should seriously consider taking their business elsewhere.
Baggage communication was poor
The inflight experience was great, but my luggage was delayed and nothing wrong with that, but the communication for how the luggage can be returned urgently within the time needed for my next travel was extremely poor, so I called and told them I'll pick it up from the airport, I went there and took 1 hour for it to come. Altogether wasted more than half a day chasing this. They were short staffed due to holidays but their baggage communication systems need to be upgraded as their courier and ground staff are not connected.
DO NOT FLY WITH THIS COMPANY!!
DO NOT FLY WITH THIS COMPANY!!! 3 HOURS DELAY FOR A regular fligh. I needed to run like the whole airport to catch the connection. No personel waiting for you at gate as serious conpany like KLM and Swiss do
Unpleasant stuff flight from CDG to RAB AF1858
Unpleasant stuff, i am very tall guy, and since my seat A26 was very tight, I asked if I can move back since there were 5 seats all together open, 2 flights attendants responded very rude way,
No you can’t change, even if those seats back were completely empty, just bad attitude and unprofessional service from them
Appalling customer service
My flight to Birmingham was missed because a my first flight to Paris was late arriving at the departure airport. On arrival at Paris I was told that due to weather conditions the earliest flight was two days later and I should make my own arrangements. I was provided with a detailed sheet about my rights and what receipts to provide. The process took months and countless communications to complete, including a letter to the CEO which did get things moving. My first claim was refused as my first flight arrived less that two hours late. I challenged this and they then agreed that that I was entitled to claim the extra expenses that I had incurred. They then expected me to start the process again. I did this and they refused some payments on the basis that I had not supplied invoices. I challenged this because their document requested receipts not invoices. They paid some more but not all. I challenged this and asked them to review it. The person who handled the first communications reviewed their own decision and agreed with it. All of my subsequent communications were ignored. I have not used AirFrance since then and I have no plans to do so in the future.
Seven days without my suitcase and no clear answer from Air France after a codeshare baggage failure
Paid $75 to check a suitcase that was never properly tagged — still missing a week later
On August 2, 2026, I traveled from Belgrade to Houston via Paris. My first flight was Air Serbia JU240, sold as Air France AF6291, followed by Air France AF98 from Paris CDG to Houston.
I paid an additional $75 to check my suitcase in Belgrade. However, the suitcase apparently was not properly tagged/registered by Air Serbia and did not travel with me. I arrived in Houston without my luggage and without a baggage-tag receipt that would allow the bag to be properly traced.
Two days later, on August 4, a family member actually went to Belgrade Airport and physically located my suitcase in the lost-luggage area. Air Serbia then arranged to send the suitcase to Houston through Paris.
Yet the suitcase still did not arrive.
On August 6, I filed a missing-baggage claim with Air France and supplied photographs and identifying details of the suitcase. As of August 9 — seven days after my original flight — I still do not have my luggage or a clear explanation of where it is.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that this was not simply a suitcase that became delayed somewhere in transit. It appears to have been left behind in Belgrade because it was not properly tagged in the first place, despite my having paid to check it. Even after my family physically found the suitcase and it was supposedly forwarded again, Air Serbia and Air France have still not managed to deliver it or provide a clear chain of custody.
I expect the two airlines to coordinate with each other, locate and deliver my suitcase immediately, refund the baggage fee, and reimburse the reasonable expenses caused by this delay.
I am extremely disappointed with the way this has been handled. I will update this review if and when my luggage is returned and the matter is properly resolved.
Zero empathy, zero communication during a family tragedy
If you ever experience a severe family emergency, do not expect any human compassion or communication from Air France.
My girlfriend and I had return flights booked from Zurich to Madagascar. Tragically, her brother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and we had to abandon our travel plans. Knowing our tickets were non-refundable, we used Air France's online form to submit a "special circumstances" request, providing details of our medical emergency and hoping for a goodwill credit or partial refund.
Instead of contacting us, asking for medical documentation, or explaining our options, Air France’s automated system simply canceled our entire itinerary without warning. They quietly refunded us only the absolute minimum (the airport taxes) and kept the rest of our money.
When we finally managed to reach customer support, we were coldly told that because we "no longer had an active booking," there was nothing they could do. The very booking they canceled without our consent!
The entire process was completely untransparent. We received no emails explaining the consequences of using their form, no phone call from an agent, and absolutely no empathy for our situation. I understand the rules of non-refundable tickets, but the robotic, obscure, and heartless way Air France handles passengers facing a tragic family crisis is unacceptable.
Do not fly with an airline that treats its passengers like data points rather than human beings.
don’t flight here
Cancelled our flight twice back to back, we decide to rebook and they cancel it again with 1 hour notice. They don’t give you any reason as to why the flight was cancelled. We payed 5k for flights and we stayed overnight at the airport and all they offered was a $20 voucher and a bag of chips. Just ridiculous. The customer support team is extremely unhelpful and shows no care for anything happening.
My religious custom made oracles worth…
My religious custom made oracles worth over $19,000uSD was stolen from my luggage while in possession with airfrance. They have denial all responsibilities and no formal investigation performed. Mind you my luggage was locked. My checked luggage went missing while in transit and was returned to me without a lock and oracles stolen. I will never travel with this airline ever again.
Worst company to avoid
I give not just 0 to air france services..-100 is not enough to describe my damage 💔. Customer Service is awful ,not helpful, not respectful, not sure. They took my money and i booked another airlines to go my country.they did not fix my trip and they did not refund me. Air france is scam 😒 they dont care about their client they only look over money . I hate Air france will never book with you
I experienced the staff on the airplane…
I experienced the staff on the airplane as friendly and generally nice. However, I am giving only 2 stars because of several other aspects of my experience.
1. **Too many repetitive security checks in Paris**
There were too many repetitive checks during my transfer in Paris, which made the journey unnecessarily stressful and inconvenient.
2. **Layover time between Terminals E and F was too short**
The connection time was far too short considering that there is no fast way to travel between Terminal E and Terminal F. You have to walk for at least half an hour, which makes the connection very difficult and stressful, especially when additional security checks are required.
3. **Problems arranging an overnight hotel**
When my flight was delayed and I needed an overnight hotel, I was initially told that the hotel could not be arranged. I felt that I was treated unfairly because of my name and experienced this as discrimination. Later, a Scandinavian passenger and I went to another customer service desk. The staff there made a phone call and, this time, agreed to arrange the hotel. The fact that another desk was able to arrange it made the initial refusal even more disappointing.
4. **Inconsistent and unpleasant handling of cabin baggage**
I had prepared my cabin baggage according to the stated requirements. My backpack is soft and relatively small. The top was flat, but there was a medicine bottle at the bottom that caused a small part of the bag to stick out slightly.
A staff member told me that the backpack did not fit the measurement basket and insisted that I check it in. His manner was very angry and unpleasant, even though it was obvious that this was a small backpack. I followed his instructions and stood in line to check it in. However, while I was waiting, the same staff member came back and told me that I no longer needed to check it in.
This was confusing and frustrating. I also noticed that other passengers were allowed to bring more than one backpack onto the airplane, which made the enforcement of the baggage rules seem inconsistent.
5. **Very poor food and cabin amenity quality**
The food quality was very disappointing. The main course consisted of a very small portion of meat and was not tasty. The salad and dessert did not seem fresh, the bread was cold, and even the juice tasted unpleasant and not fresh.
The blanket also appeared not to have been properly cleaned. It had a lot of hair on it, smelled bad, and was heavily wrinkled. It gave the impression that it had not been properly cleaned or prepared for the next passenger. The headset also looked old, used, and not properly cleaned.
My experience became even more disappointing when my flight from Paris to the US was delayed and I was transferred to Delta. The contrast was very noticeable. The food on Delta was fresh, tasty, and served in a much larger portion. Even after the main course, I found myself saving the dessert and starters because they were fresh and of good quality. The pillow and blanket were clean and looked almost new, and the headset was also new.
Overall, while I found the onboard staff to be friendly, the other aspects of my experience—including the transfer process, customer service, inconsistent baggage handling, food quality, and cleanliness of the cabin amenities—were very disappointing.
Based on this experience, I would not choose Air France again in the future if I have other options.
We are traveling with my 87y dad who…
We are traveling with my 87y dad who has heart issues and Alzheimers. Air France reached out to ask us to move our flight by one day, which we accepted. We spent a lot of money to book him in a business flight. Now they choose to downgrade the 87yo man with Alzheimers randomly and refuse to downgrade anyone else instead. There is apparently No solution, although it is a matter of health and safety for my dad. I am shocked.
