I instructed Albright Kendrick in September 2024 because of the urgency of stopping the repossession of my late mother’s home. This was already a highly stressful and time-sensitive matter. Instead of feeling supported, I have been left under constant pressure, without proper information, and facing shifting and unexplained demands for payment.
They are nightmare of a law firm run by a non-solicitor - Stuart Basson who claims to be supervised by a solicitor but most of the time is not.

Lack of invoices and cost breakdowns, just wanted money all of the time.
Unprofessional communication, these were inappropriate and unhelpful in the context of a serious and urgent legal case.

Where shall I begin from? Its one after the other lies, incompetences and failures. A nightmare of a law firm run by a non-solicitor - Stuart Basson who claims to be supervised by a solicitor but most of the time is not. Cannot be trusted with money at all. they stole my payments to third parties, which I had to pay myself directly again. They never sent their invoices to show their work. In short a fraudulent organisation. Stay miles away! They have been reported to the SRA and Legal Ombudsman, both of which are now investigating.

This company was a disaster when they handled the purchase of my house in 2024, they managed to mislay most of my £600K house deposit money and had it stuck in their accounts and could not release it in time for the completion, which meant we failed to complete and I was in default. We almost lost our deposit and could have lost the sale of the house. They knew they had problems with the accounts, yet said nothing until the eve of the completion. It took more than a month to get the funds transferred over to the handling team and only after a solicitors letters was fired across their bow did they release the last of the £200K. Absolute shockers! It was only because I had a personal friendship with the sellers advisors that we did not lose our deposit money!
They never replied to my complaints and are as far as I am concerned scumbags! Do Not Use them EVER!!!

It is galling that this outfit calls itself a law firm. It is run by a buffoon who is not even a lawyer. The level of incompetence is the worst I have ever seen in my decades of dealing with law firms. They are dishonest, useless, and arrogant. They have been reported to the SRA and the Legal Ombudsman and are currently being investigated. I am not exaggerating, this was an extremely traumatic experience. Just don't use them.
