Allegiant cancelled my flight

Allegiant cancelled my flight. I went to manage my trips to modify my flight and I tried over 50 times and got the same message that there was a price change during my modification and to try again. The price was the same each time so I don't know what they were talking about. I called the service center and hung up after 4 hours on hold. I tried again at 4AM the following morning and after over 2 hours on hold I said screw it. I ended upgoing back on line and cancelling my trip and started from scratch and rebooked it. I paid $85 more than my original flight cost. It would have been the same price if their website worked or they would answer the phone. There's no excuse for either.

Allegiant customer support is a bad joke

After over 12hrs on hold agent told me the call center was fully staffed 24/7. The previous agent gave me false information and had me call in at 12AM to assign my seat and the whole mess began. I wasted a sleepless night and half of my next day and I am angry as hell with Allegiant for wasting my time like this. All they needed was a CALL BACK OPTION on their system instead of making us wait on the phone for hours with what became torturous repetitive recordings. Don't trust what some of their agents tell you! IF you can talk to an agent, and that's a huge IF!
Do yourself a favor and read the one star ratings before you fly with these screw-ups.

If you're re-routed, good luck getting to destination!

As you kjnow, Allegiant is a 'discount' airline. They're supposed to get you from point A to point B. BUT, good luck if you're re-routed to a city other than your destination!!!

I was traveling from Las Vegas to Indianapolis. As we approached Indpls, the pilot came on and said due to a thunderstorm we'd have to circle for a while. 'A while' came and went, then the pilot said that we'd have to reroute to Cincinnati, ALSO SERVED BY ALLEGIANT. So, we get to Cincinnati. The weather has cleared in Indpls so we could refuel and go back there. Ohhhhhhhh no!!! The gate agent announced that they were contacting their contract bus shuttle to take us to Indy. 2 HRS GO BY, with no update from agent.

Finally the incredibly snarky gate lady gathers us all to the podium and gets ready for announcement.
A passenger starts to record video on his phone. She stops dead in her tracks and declares that she's not going to say anything until ALL PHONES ARE TURNED OFF!! Then she announces that nobody's answering the phone (10 pm) at their bus contractor. And they won't fly their perfectly good and fueled plane back to Indianapolis to take us all back. INSTEAD...she tells us that we're on our own getting back to Indy, and we can send in the receipts for the Greyhound Bus, or however we get back. Another passenger and I got together and hired an UBER to take us ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE INDY AIRPORT! He put it on his card and said he'd send in the bill, and I gave driver an extremely generous cash tip.

THIS IS STANDARD PROCEDURE FOR ALLEGIANT. COME FLY WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATIONS OF GETTING TO POINT B OR ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE - YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Pilots&Crew great! But telephone people 👎

I don't think the crew, and the pilots especially, are anything but extroidinere. My problem is with the office folks and those manning the phones. If they could actually have managed to take my call, they would have been able to know my husband had to back out this flight, and they could have sold his seat. Nobody wants to go on a website and start canceling half the party on the flight, for fear they somehow cancel out themselves. This needs to be done by a representative.

Highly Dissatisfied, formerly loyal, customer.

The day before thanksgiving I was taking a 6:30am flight from Allentown, Pa to Punta Gorda, Fl. Everything went well and the flight boarded quickly with a promised fast departure. Another flight was leaving as well. Not even 5 minutes before takeoff we were all told that we’re being deplaned. No explanation, nothing! We were delayed 8 hours and all they did was a pathetic “sorry for the inconvenience”, gave everyone an $8 food voucher and the choice between one can of soda or one bottle of water. Everyone was also promised a $50 voucher but that never happened. I attempted to contact customer service and to this day every request was ignored. They don’t care about customers. Use a trusted airline because they aren’t worth it. Before this I used them for every flight to and from Florida. I’m done. They couldn’t make things right or even bother themselves to contact me in return.

Crooks

My daughter's flight was cancelled three times after arriving at the Indianapolis airport. There was a shoulder length brunette lady in her 20s who laughed at my daughter when she started crying the last time her flight was cancelled. She was supposed to say goodbye to her grandma. When I approached the desk a short white haired older woman just waved me on. I was handed a card with a disconnected phone number and was told to be patient. None of the agents could print off any receipts or information about the flight, all they did was hand out this disconnected number. They told me there were weather advisories when there werent any, then they told us that my daughter needed an escort even though she will be 18 in three months. All of the information on the website, emails, and texts are different then what the agents state. They have no managers and just refer to the disconnnected number for refunds and issues. It took three months for me to get ahold of anyone, and am still working on getting my money back. This is a scam airline. They gamble with ppl's lives. We did not purchase a standby ticket.

NEVER AGAIN

Had a 6:00 AM MONDAY flight out of Des Moines Iowa (went for a soccer tournament) and got a text at 4:30 AM telling us the flight was cancelled. Since we were already headed to the airport we continued there and went to the Allegiant desk at the airport to be informed that their next flight to Phoenix was FRIDAY. BUT - that flight was fully booked so they could get us on a flight NEXT MONDAY!!!!! What in the world am I going to do in Des Moines Iowa for a week while I wait for their next available flight out??? Ended up renting a car and driving to Chicago (5 1/2 hours away) to get on a Southwest flight with a last minute fare of $400. This was literally the only flight I could find to Phoenix. Then - we get to Phoenix and realize our car is at Gateway airport where Allegiant flies out of and we landed at Sky Harbor. After a $85.00 Uber ride to Gateway, we got home at 10:00 PM. Great Day. Allegiant refunded our tickets for the flight we should have been on ($70.00) and basically said F-you. They refuse to compensate us for the Southwest tickets, the rental car, the gas, the Uber ride or the very very long day.
NEVER AGAIN.

My Problem is With the Allegiant Rewards Credit Card

I don't have a problem with Allegiant Air - but the Bank of America credit card is HORRIBLE! I applied for the Allegiant rewards. After several attempts and hours on the phone I was unable to set up online payments. Every "fix" didn't work and I'd have to call back. Finally, I just canceled the card - lost all my rewards points, and am now very angry with Bank of America.

I have used Allegiant for years

I have used Allegiant for years, but never had to deal with their Customer Service until the Covid Pandemic. My Son was getting married, in Florida, on April 3, 2020, so November 12, 2019 I booked our flights for his wedding. Obviously everything was shutdown with Covid, their wedding venue canceled their reservation, and we had to cancel our flights. They gave us a voucher, which we never used, and expires November 12, 2021. I called Customer Service today. What a joke. I waited 90 minutes on hold, to speak to a rude, condescending CS Representative, named Christine, who spoke over me the entire call. I asked for a refund because we wouldn't be using the vouchers with the current new Covid variance Delta. I told her we were senior citizens and couldn't afford to lose $465 with no services rendered. She pretty much said too bad. I fixed & ate lunch, ironed 12 pieces of ironing, decorated cutout cookies for Halloween, and read the entire newspaper, on hold, only to be treated horribly by the inept Customer Service Agent Christine. After reading other similar reviews like mine, I have to assume Allegiant Airlines Executives are of the same condescending arrogant cloth as Christine is. They've lost my business. By the way, it is my guess their 90 minute hold is standard. They hope to wait you out, resulting in you hanging up. Pathetic!

Denied my service Dog

Denied my service Dog. "not credible or verifiable"

Their reasons do not comply with US department transportation. I had the rules with me. Only a handful of reasons for denial. I asked then to point to the reason. They just told me that it was out of their hands.
Now I am in a big jam

Worst experience ever, fiance in tears

This was the worst flying experience I have ever had!!!
NEVER NEVER NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINE!!

My fiance is a transplant patient and now waiting for another transplant. She has a designated medical service dog, not an emotionally support dog, and actual trained, doctor prescribed (UofU transplant team) service dog who detects and warns of blood sugar levels. Normal airlines allow at time of check in to allow verification of service dog. I called before the flight and waited on hold for 90mins to speak with a customer service agent who explained since it was within 48hrs of the flight I would need to bring her verification letter to the desk check in. We arrived early and was told abruptly by the gate check in that she needs prior approval and wouldn't even listen or talk to us as other people were on the flight and wouldn't discuss it, she just kept saying "it's not my choice it's not my problem". We waited for the line to go down and then I showed her on their own website that at the gate the gate agent can accept the paperwork. She refused. She then called customer service herself and told me on the phone that there was nothing that could he done. He said he had no record of me calling, he told me there was nothing to be done and then because I got upset and angry that if I didn't let him finish telling me how it was all my fault he would cancel our tickets with no refund. I asked what we could do then he said "find somewhere to put your pet". I then asked if I could just take her on as a regular pet, of course I could...for $50!!! But then complained that the bag she was in was not compliant (service dogs don't have to be in regular bags, she has a designated bag). After arguing again with the service gate agent she finally accepted my money but with condition it was non refundable but the air stewards could still refuse the bag. We rush to the plane where the air stewards at first refused, then when we explained she was a service dog and showed her service vest still resisted. My fiance is balling at this point. The stewardess than says "oh the vest doesn't mean anything you can just buy that online" I then showed them the WRITTEN DOCTORS NOTE and she simply said fine and wouldn't look at us.
It's a 1hr 45min flight and has been more stressful than any other flight I've been on. The staff are rude, won't accept responsibility and all they want is to nickel and dime your money. Even if it seems cheaper, never fly this airlines.

Allegiant Air my domestic Airline❣️

Allegiant Air is one domestic Airline, I frequently use for my domestic travels !! They have direct flights to certain destinations on specific days from CLE .

It is a no frills Airlines , but it gets you from point A to point B directly.

Wonder why they stopped their direct flights from Cleveland , Ohio to Austin , Texas . It was always full 🤷‍♀️

Nickeled and Dimed

They just nickel and dime you to death. It’s 5 bucks to print a boarding pass. I prepaid my checked bag to avoid whatever additional arbitrary fees they tack on, but it was a pound or two over, so it was 50 extra bucks. Their weight limit is also 40 pounds despite every other US carrier being 50 pounds. I’ll never fly with them again if I can avoid it.

Worst customer service and website in…

Worst customer service and website in the industry. Was charged an additional $50 for a carry on bag that was already paid for. No help with a chat representative and definitely worse at check in. It's all bout those fees ladies and gents. Take my word for it. Look elsewhere.

Worst experience I've ever had within…

Worst experience I've ever had within all my years of flying and I've been flying for many years now and to know how bad the Allegiant airline employees treat their paying customers and actually get away with speaking to people like that and still being employed by the airlines honestly says everything about that airline! Unfortunately their purpose is not for you to have a good smooth flight Nooo their purpose is to ruin every single moment of your flight so you have to pay so much more out of pocket knowing that you have no choice but to pay it because you either pay all those extra fees or else you're stuck trying to figure out how you're going to get out of the airport within the next day or two because you have to be at a funeral the very next day! I've never been so humiliated insulted and belittled as I was by their very own employees that work for the airline especially Marie Edwards Ramos that actually had the audacity to try & hide her name tag when she seen that I was looking for her name and me owning my own business can guarantee you that if any one of my employees had the audacity to try to hide their name tag on one of our customers I would terminate them immediately on the spot! She does not know how to interact with customers she does not know how to speak to people let alone how to treat people and I will not stop until I go through every chain of command that I have to until I am heard regarding this matter and the way I was treated

Worst experience ever!!

The agent didn't say final call so I missed my flight!! I have herniated discs and it's difficult for me to stand in line. They called the final call for all flights before mine.. a different agent actually called out the names of people that were missing on other flights with the same company. I saw a different agent shut the door and my friend ran to the gate to try to get us on that flight. She would not give me her name so I took a picture! I am also going to write to corporate. The flight was delayed because of fog so I had to sit at the gate for over 3 hours. They charged me extra to put me on a flight that was 4 hours away from where I was actually going. It was a horrible experience. All because this agent didn't say last call for boarding!! I will never fly Allegiant again and I will never recommend this company to anybody!
