No point in complaining when things go wrong, they don't care. AVOID.

We'd had some terrible luck on our way back from a 2 day break for my husband's birthday, so when we got home we decided to order a pizza because we were both starving, and we didn't have anything quick to eat - perfect excuse for a take away, right?
When it arrived it wasn't what we ordered at all, clearly we had someone else's order.
We couldn't find the telephone number for the restaurant so we went through Just Eat, which was extremely unhelpful. The bot couldn't understand what we wanted it to do, kept saying someone would get back to us in 72 hours. When we tried to explain the urgency - that someone else's food was cooling on our table while our food still hadn't arrived - the AI bot just kept asking the same questions and we weren't getting anywhere.
Someone did get back to us quickly enough, but despite us providing a photo of the food boxes clearly showing the wrong food (the boxes at this restaurant had stickers showing what was in them) they still said there was not enough evidence and they couldn't provide us a refund. No explanation, and no attempt to get us a replacement either.
I feel more and more like businesses make it as hard as possible to complain so that people give up. So well done Just Eat. You still have my money, but you won't be getting anymore. Given that there are other similar stories like mine on here, I'm not surprised your Trustpilot score is so low.

Scum

I caught delivery guy who said I need to ring supermarket. I did but they couldn’t help, said to contact just eat. You can’t it’s all robots, no phone or email.
Robot and chat says they can’t help. Mean while they’ve taken my money for an order I didn’t get, and the cheaper order I did get is no good to me at all. I’m furious, and the fact they’re so un helpful is making it worse. DO NOT use this company. Incompetent thieves that stole my money. What a scam

Crooks

Not sure why they have two profiles on here. Seems in keeping with this bunch of charlatans.

I placed an order and it didn't arrive. Still charged and Just Eat refuse to refund.

Ordered a pizza from here via Just Eat. Topping was incorrect and a paid item was missing. I provided photos but didn’t receive a refund. Disappointing experience. Don’t bother ordering from them, if mistakes happen you won’t get a refund or any help as support are utter crap!!

They are the most unprofessional…

They are the most unprofessional company. Yesterday I made a order through just eat to get a few shoppings from Morrisons .
Well I waited over 1 hour and a half for my delivery. I was tracking it on my mobile. The time kept on changing . Well after waiting almost 2 hours I suddenly get a notification that my order was delivered. Well my anxiety went up the roof im desabled by the way. So I rely on my online shopping.
Well I've tried everything in my power to send them 3 emails which im still waiting for a repose. I never got my delivery guys it cost me 44£ without delivery chargers. They took my stuff delivered to god knows where. Now when they deliver a code should be presented on your phone . None of that happened guys . No one knocked at my door to give me my goods. Ive tried all I could to get hold of them its just impossible.
So im still waiting for my refund or even just a email to apologise for there actions. I lost over 47£ and that is a lot of money for a desabled person who has to count her penny's.now I got no money no shopping's. My cats food was in there and a few things more. So tell me what to do cause just eat is not responding to my emails I didn't get my money back to be able to go do my shopping's myself . Because now I am just so afraid and I will not be using there app any longer.
So please make sure this never happens to you .

had trouble with my delivery tonight food was cold told driver to get me a fresh one rude kept saying dont speak english told his employers he had delivered it when he didnt not out of pocket now cant get hold of company they dont answer worst company ever even the place i was getting my food from contacted them the driver lied and did not delivered cant even get my money back

I would leave no stars if it was an…

I would leave no stars if it was an option. Ordered some food and was informed it would take 30 mins. 2.5 hours later still nothing. Eventually went to the restaurant and collected the food myself, only to discover it would have cost half the price if I’d done that first. And got charged service and delivery. I don’t have enough words to describe how totally awful their service is and their total lack of engagement with the issue.

Absolutely appalled

Absolutely appalled.

Ordered food for me and my son at 5:30pm for it to then be cancelled a whole hour later at 6:40pm when it was actually due to be delivered. Fuming. Why not cancel more soon after the order was placed so that it was still a decent time to reorder and receive food from somewhere else? I received my refund but i feel compensation should be awarded!

It’s such a pity that they are not…

It’s such a pity that they are not working in France anymore… I can see why… Many people hated them, but in reality they were actually decent. I will miss them for sure, and if I found their services in other countries, I will definitely order my fav food again. Deliveries can take long, that’s true, but the traffic jams in the center are crazy big, no one can make it on time They not one to blame

Missing food, extra long delivery times, impossible to get a refund, terrible customer service

I have used just eat for many years but as of late it has became a must that items where missing from almost every order , not just that but the ever increasing delivery time as far as 3 and a half hours to deliver. receiving missing items and cold food, not to mention getting a refund I found to be impossible and left out of pocket because the customer service is beyond pathetic with there endless scripted responses, well I finally had enough and deleted my account and moved to deliveroo i will never use just eat again

If I could give no star I would

If I could give no star I would. Constantly having one thing or another missing from my delivery.
Today is the last straw. Placed my order was told 45 minutes it came 1.5 hours later. I opened the bag as it looked too small, probably £15 worth not the £29 I paid. I said this is not my order, he said I'm only the driver I don't pack the bag, to me this is blaming the staff at mcdonalds bridgend, I got the ipad to show him he then accused me of ordering the wrong items. I replied how dare you treat a customer in such a manner as I had already clearly shown him what I had ordered. I gave the bag back and said this is not what I ordered then he proceeded to show me the order no on his phone which matched the one on my ipad when I tried to take the bag back to check the number on the order he snatched it out of reach and said you can't open the bag. His behaviour was very suspicious, I believe the code on the bag was probably a different code. My husband is an amputee and is unable to drive so as an occasional treat we have it delivered. We will not be using just eat again as some of the drivers cannot be trusted.

I am extremely angry and disappointed…

I am extremely angry and disappointed with this service. I ordered food through Just Eat, and the delivery driver did NOT deliver my food. I received nothing at my door. He even had the audacity to contact me asking for the delivery code, which I refused to give since I hadn’t received anything. Despite this, the app marked my order as “delivered.”

This is completely unacceptable. I paid for food that I never received, and to make it worse, this is NOT the first time this has happened. How can you allow drivers to mark orders as delivered when customers have clearly not received them?

I demand an immediate explanation and a full refund. If this issue is not resolved, I will have no choice but to escalate it further.

This kind of service is disgraceful, and I expect urgent action.

Utter Waste of Money

Order said it would take 30 mins. 2 hours later and I'm still waiting with a 26 min eta. Kinda destroys the point of ordering cos at this point I could have just got it myself and that would be faster, wouldn't recommend this waste of money.

Order cancelled tip not refunded

I ordered McDonalds for 15 and tipped five francs. 20 Minutes later the order was simply "cancelled" and I was refunded only 15 bucks. They refused to refund my tip! Never order again, they act as if they had a monopoly, moronic.

Extremely Disappointed – Ongoing Refund Issue Mishandled

I placed an order with Just Eat totalling £29.09, which arrived completely cold and was not edible. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I received:

£7.27 refunded to my bank account
Another £7.27 refunded to my bank account
£7.27 credited to my Just Eat account

This totals £21.81, meaning £7.28 remains outstanding. I have repeatedly requested that this remaining amount be refunded to my original payment method, but Just Eat has refused to acknowledge the shortfall.
Throughout this process, I’ve dealt with ten different representatives, and despite clearly explaining the situation multiple times, I’ve received dismissive, repetitive, and contradictory responses. The representatives involved were:

Do not use this service or app or company - frauds

I ordered on the application and then I did not recieve my order but the application showed the order as delivered. I sent a complaint but still no response till now. Sent it multiple times and got 1 response, a vague response. They do not have a live chat or a phone number to contact them.. I think this company is fradulent. I need a refund. I slept hungry too. Be aware people, use this app at your own risk. Absolutely unbelievable that they need 48hrs to get back to you while deliveroo has live agents.

Avoid at all costs

They don’t even deserve one star! Placed an order and the wait time got longer and longer. Having an autistic child who started to get very frustrated with not having his food within the time frame I cancelled the order to go out and get food for him as I thought this would be a quicker option. Just eat will not refund me the money (£29.00) despite them/ establishment I ordered from not meeting the time frame! Fair to say I will NEVER use them again! Absolute joke of a company

Been over 24hrs not heard anything, funny how they can take your money just like that but when your owed a refund u cant get hold of anyone!

Wouldn't it be a wonderful world

Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if the police did their job and checked whether these delivery drivers are legal, and that their insurance covers business use?
Bring back good old companies using their own drivers to deliver food.
Just Eat has let me down for the last time.
I am retired now and have time on my hands.
I will spend that time trying to get rid of companies like Just Eat.
