Use common sense
If you have a full postcode and the other details are correct bar one then you should deliver, its called common sense. To be emailed that the driver was out of time was incorrect, he delivered about 1 and a half hours later after i had been contacted by the supplier.

I was at work when the driver turned up…
I was at work when the driver turned up but he pressed the intercom, spoke to me politely. I opened our gate and he very kindly left my parcel by the front door safely. Credit to him for not just driving away and using his common sense. Thank you very much.

I had changed the time of delivery and…
I had changed the time of delivery and asked that it was left in my safe place: Porch. (This is shady and theres a box in the corner where Parcels are left.
Instead I found my parcel leaning against my Back door in the sunshine. I expect the cheese will be fine because I found it quite quickly. But why not do as I suggested??
