Use of app hopeless. NoRefund on automat

App diffult to operate .its open but does not go further.Automat betaling does not refund after parking stopped. No cameras in Martina. I could not download so used automat. On 25.03 Paid 84 kr for 2 hrs but checkup over after 1 hr. No refund of 44 kr.It isnot like this in most automats.
On 27.03 experienced almost t same in magasinet senter Drammen . Automat not functioning and app download hopeless. 1 hr is free. Rest 15min or so i do not know how to pay..
Worry.
When app does not function and automat not functioning.we cannot be there wit t car . We drive out and then sit wit fine witout our fault.
Det r installed apcoa flow manyplaces but its so hopeless. It must be looked into otherwise u sit wit complaints from people who r fined. Should be put right at t earliest.
What about my problem of 25 and 27 march. I lost money on 25 th and on 27 th no way to pay extra 15 mts or so after 1 hr gratis in MagasinetDrammen. Both automat and app did not function. Not customer fault.

Awful company. Misleading signs, untruthful website, impossible admin.

Website says that you can pay on there but when you try won't be available until 20 minutes after leaving. However I still got a ticket BEFORE leaving. Complained but the complaint takes longer to process than the fine allows and as this was a hire car I tried to pay it using the web address on the ticket (Riverty) so I don't get an additional admin fee from the hire company.
Riverty wants a KID number but won't recognise the one on the ticket so I can't even pay the fine! Utterly ridiculous, seems like they're going out over their way to make it hard to comply. Cowboys. I'm going to the Norwegian parking ombudsman now.

Parking in Norway, it is nightmare

Parking in Norway. The machines don’t work, which is a strategy so you go online and then the plate reading is a joke so you get debited twice; first for a full day and then second time for the rest of the same day if you move the car. The double debit money is drawn from the bank account but then APCOA pretends it has not been paid and another bill comes in the mail from their Riverty company which is handily impossible to contact. Complete scam business, avoid it at all costs. I had great vacations in Norway but these companies are scum should not be allowed to operate.

UI mistake resulted in full fine despite proof of payment

Due to unclear UI design in APCOA’s app, I accidentally selected the wrong licence plate when paying for parking. After receiving a ticket, I submitted a complaint explaining the mistake and included documentation showing that parking had in fact been paid for during the relevant time period.

APCOA responded by strictly referring to regulations, without any attempt at proportionality, flexibility, or human judgement. I fully understand that they are legally entitled to do this, and that the responsibility technically lies with me as a user. That is not the point.

The experience felt cold and punitive rather than reasonable or service-oriented. A simple UI mistake resulted in a full fine, despite proof of payment.
This happened at university parking, where many users are students with limited financial margins. A 660 NOK ticket is not a trivial expense. Systems like this disproportionately affect those with the least economic flexibility.

Efficient enforcement should not come at the cost of basic fairness or usability.

Bastards

They regularly don't acknowledge registered parking and increase fines each time. There is no person you can talk to and they offer replying to complaints in 4 weeks, while fine deadlines are for 2 weeks. Ridiculous business.

This stupid parking company shall be…

This stupid parking company shall be totally removed from Norway. In jernbanegata 3 Porsgrunn they have big letters with 1 hour free, but very small letters hidden in the lines "if it is more than 1 hour, 300kr", even you park there just 5 minutes more

They are robber, not parking company

I park everyweek in front of Bystation Sandnes for my daughter’s piano class.
14.05.2025 when i arrived, i approached the payment machine and it was frozen, i couldnt do anything with the screen. I decided to leave the car and sent my daughter to her class. When the class finished, i went straight to payment machine and paid 72nok for my parking. When i reached my car there was a ticket of 660nok. I tried to find officer to explain but couldnt find him. I went back and filed complaint in their website. A month later i got invoice with late payment. I called their customer service. They told me they replied to my complaint, it turned out that it went to junk mail. I continued my conversation, tried to explain to the guy on the phone. His reply: there is no proof that system was frozen, if it was frozen, i must call them (everything is in Norwegian, i didnt understand at all). I told him i was telling the truth, he was like: you can say whatever you like. I filed 2 more complaints on their website, same feedbacks, i should have called them, their system was perfectly fine. I must follow Norwegian Parking Rule, if i want to dispute then we go to court. This company obviously just try to rob you. People, never ever park at APCOA.

Big secret information

I asked APCOA who their customer was at Sandstuveien 68-70. They said they could not give out customer information. By customer I meant the company that employees them to manage parking. Still same answer. I just told her I would Google it. It took about 3 minutes. The company is Malling & Co and they manage the property for the investment firm Watrium at this location. APCOA once again is useless. If they had just told me who it was I would have given them at least a 3 star.

!! Beware of APCOA PARKING NORWAY !!– Unfair Fines and Zero Integrity!!

!! Beware of APCOA PARKING NORWAY !!– Unfair Fines and Zero Integrity!!

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the predatory and unfair parking fine I received at the SATS Nesttun parking lot in Bergen. The so-called "parking control" was nothing more than a shameless ambush. The controller saw exactly where I parked, waited for me to leave, then sneakily took photos and issued a 660 NOK fine—on a free parking lot for SATS customers!

Let me be clear: the parking lot was completely full, I parked in a 100% safe spot, not blocking traffic, pedestrians, or emergency access—just slightly outside the marked lines. And for that, you demand an outrageous fine? Meanwhile, the controller himself parked like an absolute joke—right in the middle of the lot, outside of any designated space, like a king sitting on his throne, waiting to scam hardworking people who just want to exercise and take care of their health.

Your customer service is non-existent, my appeal was denied without real consideration, and the entire process feels like a money-grabbing scam rather than an actual effort to regulate parking. This is nothing short of extortion, and I refuse to accept it without making my voice heard.

I demand a fair reassessment of this fine. If you genuinely believe in justified enforcement, prove it—because right now, your company operates more like a fraudulent business than a legitimate service.

Looking forward to a response that isn’t just a copy-paste rejection.

The app doesn't work on my phone at…

The app doesn't work on my phone at all, so payment has to be done through their website. You don't know you have to pay anything unless you log into their site with your info. Not possible to pay with Vipps and the only form of payment is through a card. One must wonder of those details are even safe with them considering the shockingly unprofessional of a service it is. Surely there must be a better parking payment company in Norway to work with.

This company is a criminal fraudulent…

This company is a criminal fraudulent enterprise FULLY supported by OSLO City Administration. It shows just how deep corruption in Norway goes. They have installed parking ticket machines that can be activated ONLY by following procedures in Norwegian language. As a foreigner - one stands no chance against these goons.
In addition to that - the parking spaces or places are - not maintained. They just managed to get the license to use public surfaces for their own business. How? Well OSLY City Administration SOLD it to them.
AVOID Parking at APCOA Parking areas - at all costs.

We are not Apcoa's customers, We are their fodder

I had an issue that could not be resolved directly with Apcoa. I never lost my cool and kept it very professional asking for help to rectify the error. I can only imagine the angry calls they get. They remained certain there was no error on their part. They ended the conversation with "there is nothing more we will discuss and we will not remove the fees". I asked for them to follow up with their decision in written response to the emails we sent back and forth for 4 weeks so that I may take it up with the shopping center. I was told "No, we do not have time". I took it up with the shopping center and was credited within 24 hours.
The problem was Express Parking and Garage Parking(3 hour parking allowed). Express Parking gives you 1 hour and you get one more when registering on the tablet at EVO Fittness. The tablet was down and said it would be done manually and not to worry. I even had a picture of it. The Garage Parking is closed at 0500 and did not open until 0700. I was there before and had to use Express with registering on the tablet to get two hours. Well Apcoa says that is not how it works, meanwhile the shopping center website says different and so does the many times I used it before. I have since begun to use other stores instead of the ones at Brynsenter due to this and another mistake Apcoa made that was rectified in a positive manner. After the response to not confirming the conversation via email I felt hopeless. We are not Apcoa's customers, we are their fodder.
