DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

First they claimed they couldn't find my device. Then it magically appeared again and they claimed it didn't work. I had been using the phone for months and there was no issue before it was sent to them.

I asked to have it sent back and they have sent me someone else's phone that is not working.

They are liars and thieves!

Do not trust this company!

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not trust this company! They said they would give me £35 for a PS4 console. I sent it in. They then said they would only give £10 due to ‘missing peripherals’. It took ages to get a reply about what this meant. Turns out they took £25 off for no controller when the original agreement had never mentioned including a controller. I spent an hour on the phone and several emails saying they had broken the agreement - which they agreed they had - but got nowhere. They give you a very limited time to decide if you want the reduced price so I had to give up in the end and take the console back.
PostScript
A few days after I wrote the above review the company finally responded to my many emails by phoning. They said they would honour the original agreed amount and had therefore kept the console. I have now received this money. They said they are reviewing their information so this doesn’t happen to customers in future and also that they would review processes for communication and dealing with complaints. I have left the original review here as that was my experience but note they did eventually do the right thing in my case so maybe they will improve.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Would go lower than 1 if I could.
By far and away, one of the worst experiences I have had with any company, ever.
No transparency, incredibly poor customer service, waiting days and days for manager call backs. Lost device. Poor posting instructions(make sure you get a tracking ID from the post office as they will refuse to help you without this and do not make this clear anywhere!). Poor English speakers. Incorrect information again and again depending on who you managed to speak to. Outright refusal to acknowledge or open any complaints.
There is something very dodgy and suspect about this company.
Argos, you should be ashamed for partnering with Likewize and putting your customers through this experience.
Much better options out there, do not be fooled by Likewize.
Read other reviews before using Likewize!
You have been warned.

Awful Process - Do Not Recommend

Awful process - sent xbox which was working but with a potential fault. Based on that evidence they gave a trade in value of £70. Then came back with an offer of £0 and no explanation of the additional faults found - this section was left blank!!!

Awful experience

Awful experience. My phone trade in went through Likewize. They took over a month from receiving my phone to send me any money, and the amount I received was less than they quoted after having assessed the phone. They then told me that I was wrong about the assessment value and refused to honour their quote.

Original value was put at £136.Received an email say LCD was broken and new value was £27.Ask for return of phone it arrived back with a cracked screen. Refused to hel only to say take it up with Royal Mail.

Avoid

Used Argos to trade in some phones, they use Likewize/Brightstar for the service.

Very very poor service and trying to say a brand new phone doesn’t work.

Sent back 3 iPhones. iPhone XR, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max, all in perfect condition not a single scratch or in perfect working order. We took photos and videos of each phone before sending.

The iPhone XR was signed for but took us to contact them a week later to acknowledge they received it and then 3 days later offered the full trade in price.

The iPhone 12 has been delivered for over a week and still no update on this.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is less than a month old, used only at home, however they have said the buttons don’t work so will only give £100 for it. Absolute, and blatant lie to try and offer us less than the worth of the phone.

Avoid like the plague

If I could give a zero star rating for this company then I would. To start things off I contacted the post office as my parcel (iPhone) tracking was saying it was still at the sorting office after a week. They informed me that it was probably lost so would need to get in touch with the company that had paid for the postage etc. As they would need to make the claim. I got in touch with Argos buy back (Brightstar) who informed me that until they receive the phone then it’s not their responsibility but once they do I’m entitled to the full value of the phone. I was bitterly disappointed to then find out that they provide all the necessary paperwork and returns label for an item that they have valued at over £200 yet only provide insurance to the value of £100, it makes no sense whatsoever, if this had been explained to me beforehand, I would have paid for a slightly more expensive postage with insurance that covers to the value of £500. After also filling in an insurance claim with the post office just in case the phone turned up at Argos trade in, it did, or so I thought, after numerous phone calls over the space of two weeks and being told yes we have your phone but it’s not got to the processing team yet, I called again today to be told by a different person again that the post office had delivered the packaging but there was no phone in it!! I asked how the hell can an empty package be signed for to which I was informed that it would have been part of a larger consignment and not individual parcels.
A further call later I asked how then would you know that the post office had delivered an empty parcel and that one of your employees had taken the phone out, I then reminded them of the first call in when I was told that once the parcel arrives with them it becomes their responsibility thereby qualifying me for the full value of the phone. Once again I was put on hold while he spoke to his manager and I wasn’t surprised by his reply of ‘I’m sorry you were misinformed but this doesn’t alter anything’ in the slightest!!

There’s more phone calls and email threads that I could add but It just needs pointing out that this is just one big rip off company that have conned me from the beginning and I just wish I’d have read other peoples very negative reviews on other platforms before using these modern day pirates - again avoid like the plague!
