Extraordinary Tree Vandals
My house, a Georgian semi detached, is on one side of a 3m wide school alleyway and my northerly neighbour lives on the other side in an end terraced modern three storey house. Her blank gable end thus faces my rear garden. My side of the unused and redundant school pathway is lined with Sycamore trees which have been there for decades, long before her house was built. My neighbour has a long standing issue with the Sycamore trees but they do not overhang her property, they overhang the school alleyway. I have lived in my house for 17 years and she has pestered me for 15 years to cut them down, almost demanding on occasions that I do so. Of course, she has absolute right to trim any branches that overhang her border and that has never been disputed by me. However, these so called “tree surgeons” from Salford turned up earlier this week and climbed over the school fence or gate (not sure which), thus trespassing on private school property (duly signposted as such) to hack away at my trees without any authority from the school or any or prior discussion with me. When asked to desist from continuing their destruction, I was laughed at and physically pushed away. I’m 65 years old and I am shocked and horrified by their attitude and the damage they have done and if I could give then minus stars, then I would do so. Horrible, rude, nasty and inconsiderate would be an understatement for these awful cowboy contractors managed by Latvian born Inguss Markots. I have no issue with his nationality or that he has probably done satisfactory work for others. He may even be quite good at his job but he clearly lacks the vital ethics of this sensitive trade. Trees are a very emotive subject that often cause problems but the environment is being destroyed and trees are vital for the world’s survival. Obviously I love trees but my neighbour does not. Tree surgeons are ten a penny these days and most seek the approval of the tree owner. Not so with ‘Ashley Tree Services’. They will clearly break the law for a quick buck. Dreadful experience and so unnecessary.
