Everything went smoothly from start to finish. We had a Renault Twingo, which was small but perfect for the narrow streets in Italy. Returning the car was quick and hassle-free.

The service was perfect, as always!

We hired the car for a day and when we returned it, they tried to pin two already existing damage on us.

Update: I got as a response from Automania to make pictures before the renting. Yes, we did that and could proove that the damage was already existing before the renting. Our conclusion: no more renting with Automania

Quick and easy check-in and check-out procedures. The office was a bit difficult to locate but the staff was friendly and helpful.

They tell people to bring a credit card for the deposit, but dont tell you to bring a card reader as well. We are from Belgium and we couldn’t pad by credit card because we didn’t have a card reader from our bank. So we were forced in taking a insurance from them, even tough we were full insured by the booking company. Ripped off by 400 euro’s. This was the only way to get the car. Oh and besides the insurance they still needed a 100 euro deposit, which we payed with the credit card without using a card reader! The girl at the reception told us that this situation happens a lot. THEN YOU NEED TO TELL CUSTOMERS TO BRING THEIR CARD READER INSTEAD OF IGNORING THE PROBLEM!!!

Halfway trough our journey, our tire got ripped. We were on a very dangourus road. So I called them (we have a full insurance!). The guy on the phone didn’t even ask for the situation and told us that there is a spare tire in the back. I got a bitt frustrated so he told me he could send someone, but that we have to wait (could take 3 hours). So we changed the tire on a road where cars were passing us at 100km per hour. He told me to call him when we got home so he could give us an adress for a garage (to change the tire). I called back and got someone else on the phone. This person told me that we have to look for a garage ourselves. Again WRONG INFO!

I called again the next day, got again another person on the line. She told me that we couldn’t choose our own garage en that she would check the options and call me back. She called back and give me an adress. We went to that adress. The repair-man askedus some questions that we could’t anwser. I again called Automania. They said that garage would be to expensive and that they would look up another garage! They told us to wait because they needed to call the main office. So we sat in the car waiting for their decision. At last, they found a garage for us in Palermo. To sum up our experience with Automania: NO THANKS. I will book with a different company the next time.

I was a bit surprised by the excellent and fast customer service. I will definitely use this car rental company in the future.

The airport shuttle pick up was prompt. Car was as booked. Staff were, as always, friendly and efficient. Vehicle return was hassle free. We have never had a bad experience with Automania.

I had a great experience with Automania in Sicily. The whole rental process was quick, easy, and professional. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clearly explained. I received an almost brand-new Opel Corsa, which was clean, comfortable, and in perfect condition. It made our trip around Sicily enjoyable and completely hassle-free.

The pickup and drop-off process was smooth and efficient. The rental office is located off-site from the airport, which we knew in advance, and we didn't have to wait for the shuttle. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

The car was clean and reliable throughout the trip. However, we were not particularly impressed by the DR brand, as both the acceleration and braking felt rather weak. Overall, the service was excellent, but the car itself left some room for improvement.

The car had a lot of bruises already and when returning it, the clerk insisted on having found yet another one. The insurance paid more than 400 EUR for light scratche on the edge of the drivers door and I doubt that the repair was executed. So it all just seemed a way of making money by making up damages, that don't exist. Unfortunately there was no way for us to solve it since we had to catch a flight.
