Using comparison websites produces a large range of
alternative policies so choosing is not simple. However Aviva insurance seemed to be competitive and certainly considerably cheaper than my previous provider.

Usually , setting up AVIVA policies has been very straightforward . But this time it was fraught.
The underwriters were very detailed in their requirements but after a medical review the policy required was offered . 3 stars only this time.

The worst customer service I have witnessed to date. I am actually trying to pay them money after I have cancelled my car insurance and they are not allowing me to pay, resulting in bad debt against me. For a value of less than £40. Of which I want to pay! Each employee is also giving me different information, they will not escalate you to a manager and I am at wits end! The MD of Aviva please read what is happening within your company and please someone tell me how I can pay my closing balance after months.

If I could give Aviva zero stars, I would.

My experience with Aviva following a no-fault car accident has been nothing short of horrendous. What should have been a straightforward claim has turned into an exhausting, stressful and unnecessarily prolonged ordeal.

I have experienced what I believe has been unacceptable communication, delays, poor handling and a complete lack of ownership of my case. I have repeatedly had to chase, explain the history of the claim and push for issues to be properly addressed.

I have escalated the matter through the complaints process and even beyond the normal claims-handling route, because I simply could not understand why something that should have been resolved was allowed to become this complicated.

I have completely lost confidence in Aviva.

In my personal experience, the service has been unreliable, frustrating and deeply disappointing. I have felt passed from one person to another rather than having someone genuinely take ownership and resolve the problem.

So my advice to friends, family and anyone considering Aviva for car insurance is simple:

I would not choose Aviva again, based on my experience ever again.

Setting up the insurance cover for my house and contents was easy and the price was competitive. So five stars for that. As for the performance of Aviva regarding insurance only time will tell should I need to make a claim.
