The worst bank ever. I live outside Europe and needed to change my phone number. This bank refused and claimed I'd have to fly 20,000 km to do it. No passport, no name, no date of birth – not even my... See more

Online Support via Chat
Online Support via Chat experiences were terrible.
Very unprofessional. Service employee will close the chat whever they like.
In my case; I am unable to write in german and the employee can't speak English.
Without any response or warning, they closed the chat the second they see English word.
You know you can just reply "German only" and I will try.
So much for the customer service.
I wouldn't even give them one star
I wouldn't even give them one star. I went to Bank Austria to enquire about opening an account with them. The advisor was very rude, made me feel like he was doing me a favour. I have dual citizenship and he seemed like he couldn't be asked doing all the extra paperwork,he made me feel really uncomfortable, and it's needless to say that I left without opening an account with them and I won't be going back! Really bad customer service! Stay away from this bank!!!!
Extremely high fees
Generally I an satisfied with the service at this bank but their fees are much too high.
Worst experience ever…
Worst experience ever with their customer service. Had to contact them several times via email as I am stuck oversee and can't come in person to sort out. Received automated responses, no answer to my questions at all, only information that I can come in person.
Then called them as I am worried that someone is using my card as I cannot recognize charges, but can't use online banking as I don't have the phone with the registered number and was told as long as I don't call from this number, they can't do anything for me. What? So, someone could have access to my account and they will not help because it is not the correct phone number. What a bad service and the lady on the phone got all rude and condescending...for what? That I don't have the phone on me?
I never had such big issues with any other bank in my whole life. Horrible people.
Their online bank system is literally a…
Their online bank system is literally a horror. I am finally changing it to Another bank after 5 years of use. Really inconvenient. I hate it!
I have been a Bank Austria customer for…18 years
I have been a Bank Austria customer for 18 years, although you wouldnt know it by how they treat me. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BANK EVER. My representative? Useless. Online banking? Useless. Bank Austria was always a "retail" bank for people who didnt need much, but the service they provide? They act like though their lack of service, they are doing you some kind of favor. Stay away! Go to Raiffeisen, Bawag, or even N26.
Worst customer service ever!!
Worst customer service ever!!
One cannot call from abroad as they don’t recognize the number & they have got no other method of authentification apparently-
totally old-fashioned & unprofessional :(
How come other companies such as Paypal/Airbnb etc. have no problem if you call from a different device?!
Unbelievable how they treat long term customers- once I’ll be able to return to Austria after the crises I am going to shut my account, safe & cancel my credit card.
I had to show the National Ombudsman…
I had to show the National Ombudsman that they owed me a lot more than they claimed. They demanded papers from my bank that the EU privacy laws forbid.& that my UK bank cancel my account. They wanted the embassy to send a letter that it does not do.they have for years not answered letters. They are not answering their National ombudsman's requirements. They prevent their London Bank from even verifying a passport. They do not Answer EMP's contact.& Lots more. Trying to have their London office just look at my passport I was told to go to Austria ( I am 70 Years old ) Even just outside that office, which my money paid for I was told I was trespassing, when I asked them to call the police they just walked off. ETC
A disappointment
One Star is still overrated. support is unfriendly, incompetent and technical issues are pushed to others without considering it's their fault
Terribly unfriendly service
Terribly unfriendly service. I called them, had to wait 15-20 min, and then, once they spoke with me, they were incredibly unfriendly and annoyed with my questions.
Once we fixed the issue together, after 10-15 of talking, they hung up without saying anything.
Austrian work ethic at its best.
I try to delete/deactivate my account…
I try to delete/deactivate my account for about 4 monthes because i don’t live in Austria anymore
The service is really bad.
They answer to my questions after 2 weeks
They charged me 2 times with 18€ fir their kontopaket while i dont use this bank and while i asked to stop charging me
They don’t care for nothing just to take people money
As long as i live me,my family and my friends will never use this bank again!
