We specifically asked how the current offer compared to other rotating promotions and were told it was the best offer for our purchase. Shortly afterwards — and well before delivery — the exact same items became significantly cheaper under a better promotion.
When we raised this, we were told nothing could be done because we ordered in-store and therefore did not have the same protections available as online purchases.
At no point during the sale were we made aware that store purchases have very limited rights to amend or cancel for free (7 days from order), whereas online orders come with stronger cancellation protections (14 days after delivery). This information is apparently only provided in an email linking to terms and conditions after the sale is complete.
For transparency, this should be clearly explained upfront — especially as it can result in a 20% cancellation fee after a very short window.
If we had known this, we would have ordered online instead.
Very poor transparency and aftercare.
My recommendation for customers: if you want a Bensons for Beds product - only purchase it online and not via store.

Bought the mattress in the EastKilbride store where Stuart served us, he was helpful and advised us on what mattress to purchase . It was a mattress for my mother’s spare room so Stuart said we could buy a refurbished one at half the price which suited us . He explained how the mattress was prepared and all about delivery he was excellent. Bensons kept me informed by email and text about progress and delivery which all went as agreed it was an excellent service from beginning to end. The delivery drivers were great too. Very satisfied with the quality and service from Bensons

We got a bespoke recommendation based on our needs and sensible advice about the many differences in bed and mattresses to ensure we weren't overwhelmed. My son is delighted with his bed.
