Easy to book and get appointment. The doctor are really nice

I had my appointment with Sarah Jenkins she were was lovely. The appointment were about 1 hour long and she went through everything with compassion and empathy. We had a laugh which is important. I never felt judged but understood the entire time. Thank-you. I would definitely recommend!

Dr Helen Whitworth was easy to talk to and I really felt seen and heard. I left my assessment feeling satisfied and reassured with the information I received. A great service that eased my mind and saved a lot of time I would have had to wait for an NHS appointment.

I had a great experience in getting my diagnosis with Berkeley psychiatrists. I was very nervous in getting my adhd diagnosis as I feared I would be misunderstood and possibly feel judged or uncomfortable. This was not the case as the lady I had my consultation with ( I think named Hayley) was very reassuring, and made me feel like I wasn’t going crazy. The questions asked did not feel scripted and they went by my own experiences and needs, which made me feel comfortable in finally speaking what I have wanted to get across for years. I felt actually listened to and supported. I was then referred to a clinician called sheryl who has been very helpful in my treatment, calming my anxieties around medication and advising me on how to take them. My overall experience has been amazing and I would 100% recommend. I had troubles with my gp getting a referral, but once my RTC referral went through, I had an appointment within 1-2 weeks with Berkeley which I then got given my diagnosis and extra support, followed by an appointment the following week with the clinician. I then started my titration the following week.

Our experience with Berkeley Psychiatrists has been excellent. The process from enquiry, to booking, to being assessed, and diagnosed was less than two weeks. The ADHD assessment for my daughter was conducted by Dr. Taner Guvenir, who made her feel relaxed, comfortable, and calm. The assessment felt comprehensive and we left with a clear diagnosis and a titration plan, to help her move forward. I would definitely recommend.

I have had a great experience with Berkeley's Team over the preceding months - from my treating Consultant Dr Velickiene; the Pharmacist Victoria and the Admin Team, Stacey and Alan.

Dr Spencer was absolutely brilliant. I was rather anxious and felt like it was going to be boring and annoying but he was friendly, allowed me to explain, ramble and tell him my concerns. He was very thorough and explained everything to me! He was brilliant. The administrative team have been brilliant as well!!

Dr Hollie Hearfield was very kind and professional. My son has had many issues with his mental health and I’ve used Berkeley to get his diagnosis for ADHD and autism. This appointment was for his ASD assessment. It was very comprehensive and gave him an opportunity to talk about his difficulties. Dr Hearfield made him feel at ease straight away which helped him to open up even more. She’s given us as a family a better understanding of his needs. He’s struggled with self esteem and self worth but this helped him to further understand he has a disability. We have been given a path to further help and support him and ways to increase his independence.
Would highly recommend and very grateful we found this clinic.

Dr. Hollie Hearfield was the kindest, most compassionate and understanding professional I’ve ever encountered (I think I’ve seen my fair share). I’m a 31 year old female who has been diagnosed with mental health problems my entire life, but I knew there was something more to it. Dr. Hearfield has given me such clarity and understanding about myself and I am so grateful for her help. I really recommend her if you’re an adult female. She made me feel comfortable immediately and it was easy to open up and be my ‘real’ self with her, nothing I said felt like too much. She is the best.
The overall service from Berkeley Psychiatrists has been amazing, so quick to respond to emails and assist with booking. I also received my report soon after which was detailed and insightful. 10/10. Thank you!

After my initial appointment.
I had a great nurse on my second appointment. He really helped me understand. I was quite shocked at my diagnosis and needed to process it. He took time to explain.

Assessor was friendly and was clear and articulate with their points. Made complex topics easy to digest, maybe me feel comfortable.

I was referred to Berkeley Psychiatrists through the NHS Right to Choose pathway, and they absolutely delivered on their promised waiting times.

My assessment was with Rachel Smart, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was professional, friendly, and easy to talk to, making what could have been a very daunting assessment feel relaxed and comfortable. Rachel kept the assessment moving at a good pace, gently keeping me focused while also taking the time to build rapport. She even shared some of her own everyday household dilemmas, which really helped put me at ease and made the conversation feel much more natural.

At the end of the assessment, Rachel explained my diagnosis with kindness and compassion. She recognised how emotional it was for me and was incredibly understanding and supportive while I processed everything.

To top it all off, I received my assessment report within just four days, which was far quicker than I expected—especially compared with the much longer wait for my son’s report from another Right to Choose provider.

From start to finish, the service was efficient, professional, and genuinely caring. I’m so grateful to Rachel and the team at Berkeley Psychiatrists and would highly recommend them to anyone considering the NHS Right to Choose pathway.
