I walked in without an appointment to check out a car I'd seen advertised. Reception was friendly and helpful. They hooked me up with Sales guy Keenan, who was also welcoming and went about arranging a test drive for me. The car was right for me, so I put money down. Next day I returned to do finance and pick up the car. All steps were painless and stress free. Very good professional crew to deal with. Recommended!

I loved working at Big Motoring World. I had friendly colleagues, loved my work and the benefits that came with it. The people I worked with made the experience that much better, BMW was and is my favourite work place.
HR, H&S team, management, First Aiders took such great care of me when it came to my chronic pain disorder - I've never had so much support in any other workplace. If it weren't for my own personal circumstances, I never would have left. I hope I can work at BMW again one day.

After purchasing the vehicle had some issues with the charging port, after contacting the Big Motoring World company, they helped out and paid for the full cost of the repair. I could not be happier with them.

An absolute waste of time company, they trap you in a agreement and don't tell you things totally opposite. Never ever buy car from them we have experienced the worst and I will take this further to third parties

Bought a car, I have had nothing but trouble with it. had to take it to their repair centre 3 times, finally fixed the fault on the 3rd visit but caused another fault while doing it. apparently they can't fix it as they don't have the correct equipment so they expect me to take it to Fords at my expense even though the car is still under warranty.
absolutely awful service and so far it has taken 4 months and still no closer to getting the problem sorted. avoid this company.
We are now in August and still not repaired. You stated that you were happy for it to go to Fords but I am still waiting for that to be authorised by yourselves. Absolute joke

Beware - the advertised price on websites (Cargurus) and emails direct from this company are not necessarily the price you end up paying - I would not trust this company.
Even though our appointment email confirmation clearly confirmed the price with no fees applicable, we still had to pay £300 more than the advertised price. The official explanation was price fluctuations can increase as well as decrease for second hand cars but the price increase represented exactly this company's hitherto admin fee of £300 that they supposedly now waive, so this felt very much like hidden fees that are now applied to the sale price. We had different stories from different members of staff but none of them were satisfactory or believable and they responded to our complaint initially by saying it was an admin fee but then reversing that and saying it was a market fluctuation up (even though the car had depreciated and sat with them for a month) and there were no fees added to the sale price.

Easy process and helpful in selling. Quite easy to get away from the upselling afterwards. Car had a fault which is proving hard to fix as you can't get in touch with them easily and then they refer you a very frustrating RAC backed process which is slow and unsure. After sales is very poor.
Thanks for the reply, the rac app has been used to book an appt to fix one problem, but the other issue which the RAC can't deal with still persists. I would like it if someone would contact me about that, as your reply here is the third promise someone will contact me.

We had an appointment at 9.30am and were seen bang on time. Our salesman was Cean who could not have been more polite and helpful - a proper star! We had a test drive and sorted out all the paperwork in 3 hours. Chloe the handover lady was also very professional and helpful

Bought Nissan Xtrail EY20 on 1st of April from Big Motoring World Peterborough.
It was a really wonderful experience.
Car was exactly the same described on website. Showroom was amazing. People were very cooperative. Took me long to leave the review as was bit busy with some construction work at my home.
The lady who was dealing with our enquiry was so nice and gave us all the information and test drive and full attention so we can decide in our time.
Car was in a very good condition, just came with only 1 key which is understandable and the navigation card was also not there but overall we loved the car.
Thank you very much Big Motoring World.

Right, here’s a review for you:
“I purchased a car from Big motoring World Peterborough on Monday, June 8th. Immediately upon collection, I discovered the air conditioning wasn’t working. The dealership identified a gas leak and promised to repair it within two days, asking me to return on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the car wasn’t ready, and I had no choice but to leave without it. Over the following days, I received minimal communication from their complaints department despite multiple calls and emails—they only assured me they’d logged my complaint and would get back to me. This caused significant inconvenience, particularly as I’d purchased fifty-five day driver insurance I couldn’t use. I eventually collected the car on Thursday at my own expense, travelling from London. Although I was assured the leak had been properly fixed and checks were completed, the AC stopped working again by Saturday. It appears the dealership simply refilled the gas rather than actually repairing the underlying leak. When I contacted customer support, I was told to contact the warranty team instead. I would strongly advise potential buyers to thoroughly inspect every aspect of any vehicle before purchase and be extremely cautious with this dealership, as resolving issues after purchase requires extensive hassle with emails!!! Absolutely unreliable company.

Bought a car from this firm and whilst the buying process was fine, the after sales service was awful, I viewed and bought a car the same day and only issue was that they would send me the spare key which wasn’t on site.
A month later and I have been chasing incessantly. You cannot contact Peterborough directly to speak to them, you have to go through a calls centre who are varying degrees of helpful and who seemingly struggle to get information from this centre themselves. There is no clear escalation process, complaints amount to nothing and they do not respond in a timely fashion. This week I did finally have a helpful lady called Olivia who did communicate with me, for which I give credit to her, but honestly if you’re buying a car you can get from any dealership avoid this outfit- the hassle isn’t worth it and totally ruins the joy of buying a new car.
In response to your reply - my order number was 390579. There is nothing more infuriating than a firm that has terrible after sales service yet responds immediately to a poor Trustpilot review. It did not take a few weeks for the spare key to come it was over a month and no one responded to me - the communication is appalling. So no, I won’t be sending you further details to your awful generic inbox I just advise others who don’t like that kind of hassle to avoid your business at all costs.

The car I reserved and viewed was in poor condition for a 4 year old car. The glove compartment didn't shut properly, the plastic shield over the dashboard control panel was cracked and there were chips in the paintwork that were down to the metal just inside the rear passenger door. I asked if all of these issues would be fixed and was told no.
On a plus, my deposit for reserving the car was refunded immediately

We have just driven our new car out of Big Motoring World in Peterborough and had a few niggles, hence leaving a review.
Upon inspection the car was quite dirty - more so in the engine bay with lots of sandy dust. The salesman (Karim) said it would be valeted but it wasn’t.
The sales process did involve encouraging us to buy things we don’t need, standard sales for many dealerships.
There was some urgency to get us to take the car away, and this part annoys me because we were told that they are able to take a car with private plates after we put them in retention, and before we receive the new V5. This turned out to be untrue and we had to pay a £200 fee for them to hold our old car, refundable upon sending the new V5. Not very honest!
The handover team is a different team to sales, although they are in the same building, and they have to deal with the lies, which they do by apologising.
I hope nothing goes wrong with the car!

Absolutely appalling experience with Big Motoring World at the Peterborough branch this afternoon. The sales staff attitude was disgusting from start to finish. They were rude, dismissive, and very unhelpful when I asked about part exchanging my car. The salesman wanted to take my keys but refused to let me accompany him to my car while he valued it. He then said he wouldn’t do business with me if he couldn’t inspect the car alone, which sounded very off and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Customer service clearly means nothing to them. Buying a car should be a positive experience, but they give car sales people a bad name. I would not recommend this company.

10 April 2026.
That was the day I wrote the first complaint to Big Motoring World.
Since then, silence. If anything happens to me because of this vehicle or the unresolved issues I have repeatedly reported, Big Motoring World should be held fully responsible. Their refusal to act has turned every drive into a constant fear, like my name has already been written into a Death Note and I am just waiting for the inevitable.
Every warning light feels like another name written in the Death Note. Every journey feels like a gamble between reaching home safely… or becoming another ignored customer story.
The company promised support, but instead mastered the art of disappearing when problems begin. Stress, anxiety, endless chasing, and zero accountability — this has been the real driving experience.
My family no longer trusts this car.Honestly, neither do I.
If you buy from here, remember:the real horror starts after the payment clears.
1 star. Because Google won’t allow zero.
