Business-in-a-Box is a complete package
The software is excellent and even if you just create one or two legal documents in the first year you've more than paid for it. The list of documents and samples seems endless and covers virtually everything. Having the pro version is important if you plan to do lots of editing and simple functions like printing, saving, etc. are easier than the demo version. I found the Help section to be more 3-4 star than 5 star but it is still good.

When you looking into Business-in-a-Box the company is pro-active and open to assisting you. When the purchase is done, then the support dries up and no one gets back to you when you need them most. I had to solve my own errors and felt like the company made the sale and I was on my own.

Great templates, easy to use, well worthwhile
I needed to write a supply contract and found biztree on the internet. It had a suitable contract template included which was simple to edit and finish as a very professional document.
Beats lawyers pricing anyday and I now have everything I need for future legal docs to hand!

MONEY & THE BOX
This is a rather extensive range of documents and material at a pretty high standard.
I know that with a bit of application, these documents can be used with great success. I have already had income generation that has justified the investment.

Product is way over stated and once you show any interest and even after purchase you get continual SPAM.

Business-in-a-Box saves time and money!
I was looking at spending over $10,000 in fees and was not even going to get 5 prepared documents, until I saw the BizTree advertisement for Business-in-a-Box. I was able to get the license and access to the over 1,800 template documents which the application will pre-fill with my company's information with one click of my mouse. It has saved me thousands of dollars and untold hours to create just about any type of documentation necessary to run your business. It is a God-send.

Caution: Business-in-a-Box can affect the performance of Microsoft Word
The biggest problem that I have experienced is that Business-in-a-Box affects my Microsoft Word formatting and I had to uninstall the program and therefore I wasted my money.

Business-in-a-Box software has saved me time many time over its cost and that is what I was looking for.
I use both the English and the French versions. I like the 100s of prepackaged forms. I find the checklists very helpful. I find items in the said lists that I would otherwise not have thought of. Great Help!!
Moreover, the few times that I had to get technical assistance, I found people super helpful, very knowledgeable and very courteous. Always a great experience.
I would highly recommend Business-in-a-Box to very busy professionals.

Great Stuff!
Biz in a box is great! I wish there were more "basic" forms that I could utilize for my smaller clients that don't need or want the lengthy legaleeze. Other than that I have found and used many of the documents. I am pleased with my investment.

EXCITEMENT VERSUS DISAPPOINTEMENT
When I purchased Business in a Box, it became more difficult to use than as a browser. I have not used one document with the exception of the Business Plan which was a challenge and I am very disappointment as it is not as user friendly as it advertises to be. My daughters for whom I had actually purchased the system with 5 users have not even been able to access it at all.
I was so excited to have purchased this application, for me the price was really putting pressure on my budget but I felt it could add value to my work as I am responsible for drafting many agreements and documents for our company as the MD and it takes me longer to access and then not to get the documents. So this really killed my enthusiasm and I have since given up trying due to the time it takes to get to one simple document i.e. Resolutions...template.

I bought a full package, English and French for a Mac, only to find that the legal basis was US law and the French one was Quebec.
Many of the templates did not work with the Mac OS. They admitted this afterwards so, why did the sell it as conforming.
On the positive side they did refund.

Business-in-a-Box is used in over 190 different countries. Although the writing style of the documents is North American, the legal document templates you find in Business-in-a-Box are “general” rather than specific, meaning that we do not refer to any local/state/country law but instead we indicate what “type” of law to refer to (e.g. [YOUR COUNTRY]’s Foreign Trade Law or [YOUR STATE/PROVINCE] Employment Discrimination Law). Since the laws are constantly changing, not referring to specific articles or codes makes Business-in-a-Box quite a better product.
Our legal documents are a great “starting point” but we always recommend that our clients talk to your lawyer before signing an important agreement. However for the majority of cases, the templates will require only minor customization – our do-it-yourself document models were created to fit general business needs, with little impact resulting from what country(s) you operate in, or in what industry your company is.
The documents lay out in the Mac version of the software is not yet as good as the PC version but the package value remains the same. In fact we have numerous Mac clients that are very happy with the software.... and as you experienced, we have no problem refunding those who are not :)
