We had such a lovely experience with everyone in bloobloom Spitalfields. Particularly Sajad who helped us both make a choice on which glasses to purchase, everyone was super helpful and welcoming. Would defiantly recommend giving the store a visit if you’re in need of some help with finding something to suit you!

I had Saj and James helping me today who were great and very patient with me whilst I tried multiple styles and deliberated over colours. There was no pressure to get more than I needed and they were friendly and helpful.
Definitely recommend!

Friendly & knowledgeable people.
Being very nervous Martin immediately put me at ease & picked the frames I desired just by my description!
The eye test wasn’t rushed, very thorough & everything explained throughout.
Really really lovely people….you should visit!

I had an eye test and bought 2x glasses today.
The optometrist Rebecca was really nice, and without Sarath's help I think I would have been pretty overwhelmed by the amount of choice for the glasses so it was great to have someone who essentially turned into my personal shopper.
Thanks guys!

I am writing this to warn others about the gap between Bloobloom’s marketing and their clinical accountability.
1. Significant Clinical Failure
My initial eye test in October was objectively inaccurate. It missed an astigmatism in my right eye a stable condition documented in my history for over 3 years (Specsavers 2023). It also failed to record a necessary spherical correction in my left eye. This wasn't a "slight change"; it was a diagnostic error that left me with glasses that were never fit for purpose.
2. Disproved by Their Own Data
After months of struggling, I returned for a re-test. Not only was the optometrist 20 minutes late to the appointment, but their own new results today completely disproved their October test. Their new findings now *almost* align with an independent second opinion I had to seek from Specsavers.
3. Breach of Statutory Rights
Despite their own data proving the original glasses were faulty, Bloobloom is hiding behind a 30-day "satisfaction" policy to demand a £79 fee to fix their own mistake. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, I am entitled to a free remedy for faulty goods within 6 months. To prioritize an additional fee over clinical accuracy and their own 2-year guarantee is incredibly poor form.
I have acted in good faith, but I will not be charged to fix a mistake Bloobloom made. I will be referring this matter to the Optical Consumer Complaints Service (OCCS) if this is not resolved immediately.
Edit (11 March 2026):
It’s telling that this review was flagged, yet the clinical facts remain. When I sought an independent second opinion at Specsavers, the difference was undeniable: their prescription was clear; Bloobloom’s was blurry. It is deeply disappointing that a documented 3-year history of astigmatism is being dismissed by Bloobloom as a "small variation."
To make matters worse, the optician for my re-test was 20 minutes late and actually attempted to claim the astigmatism was missed in October because my "eyes had gotten better"—a clinical absurdity disproved by their own re-test today and my external data.
Ultimately, their tests are unreliable. Even if I had returned within their 30-day policy, it’s clear they were incapable of generating an accurate prescription. To be asked to pay nearly 80% of the original cost (£79) to fix a diagnostic error is a total disregard for the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and basic professional standards. This matter is now with the OCCS and my bank for a full refund.

I purchased a pair of glasses from the Bloobloom Covent Garden store and unfortunately had a very poor experience with the aftercare.
Soon after purchase the frames were uncomfortable. During my first adjustment at the store the temples were tightened significantly to stop the glasses slipping, which resulted in severe pressure behind my ears and headaches after a few hours of wear. I returned to the Covent Garden store several times to try to resolve the problem.
Although staff in the store attempted adjustments, the issue persisted and I was eventually told by email from “The Bloobloom Team” that the glasses were outside the 30-day return period and that, because there was no manufacturing fault, no refund or replacement would be offered.
What is particularly frustrating is that during one visit an optician acknowledged that the frames appeared too narrow compared with my previous glasses and said they would contact head office. However, this did not lead to any meaningful resolution.
In the end I visited another optician, who immediately recognised that the temples had been incorrectly adjusted and simply reshaped them so that they curled properly behind the ears. This took only a few minutes and the glasses have since been comfortable.
The frames themselves are perfectly fine, but the experience left me disappointed with Bloobloom’s after-sales support. Given the number of visits I made to the store and the correspondence I sent explaining the issue, I had expected a more constructive response.
I would be interested to hear whether Bloobloom believes this level of aftercare reflects the service they aim to provide to their customers.

Momin the young man who served was polite, professional and very helpful.. the whole process of change my old lens in a new frame took 5 minutes, and he changed the screw on the other frame which was loose.
My only issue with Bloobloom is the staff don’t genuinely give customers a chance to breath.
I observed 3 separate incidents during my 10/15 stay how customers left without buying or even showing interest in a pair of glasses as soon as the young sales assistant went over to help. Bloobloom.. encourage staff to understand take time, assess the customer, give them 30sec then approach.. I’ve been in retail hospitality (Restaurants) since 1992.. you need a different approach.. I completely understand sales matter but how many customer walk in without actually buying anything?

Really great service from Faiz, I just popped in to see the glasses in person and ended up with a free eyetest and ordering a prescription pair and some sunglasss. Loads of options and lovely designs. I would highly recommend.

I had my eye test with the doctor Viray, he helped me to understand which glasses to choose and assured me that I can change it in case I have problems. In the shop Yasmine assisted me before and after my test to choose which frame fits better for me.
I appreciated that the doctor came in the shop after the test and collaborated with Yasmine to check we choose a frame that suits my prescription. Thank you.

Everyone in the store was super helpful and friendly. Narrowed it down to two glasses then helped me narrow it down. Process was really easy able to send my prescription by link as it was done at a different store.

I went to Bloobloom in Covent Garden for a free eye test. First impressions were the shop was modern and had a lot of glasses on show. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Rebecca (the Optician) was lovely and efficient and explained everything well.
After my eye test I went back onto the shop floor to arrange the frames I already knew I wanted because prior to my trip to London I had already partaken in the free 5 day trial whereby frames (of your choice) are sent to your home address for you to try.
Saatwik served me in Covent Garden and explained all the pricing as well as taking my measurements.
All in all this was a great experience from the very beginning. My two pairs of glasses (£40 off the 2nd pair) are being made and will be with me within 10 days.
I would recommend Bloobloom to everyone who likes wonderful experiences.

Pretty sad with the service provided in leu of some glasses that consistently fall down…. Went for a free eye test and was pressured into buying some glasses that don’t fit. Have been into the store countless times for refit and all in all it’s incredibly disappointing. Absolutely won’t be going back.
