Blue Car Rental Iceland Reviews 

This was my second journey to Iceland and I have rented a car once again in Blue Rental Car.
This time I have rented lower class 4x4 SUV, but received upgraded version of a car which was amazing.
No issues and all informations were available before and during my journey.
I would highly recommend to everybody to co-operate with the Blue Rental company.

Car was in perfect conditions. My reservation was upgraded to an hybrid MG car, whereas my original reservation was for a Toyota Yaris. The driving experience around Iceland was in the end very enjoyable.

Easy online booking, fast vehicle pick-up and return process, clean and useful car

Emelia and Emma helped with smooth checkout. Everything I needed was all ready to go. I was having trouble with a USB connector, critical to keep things charged on the road, and they were able to locate a suitable adapter that worked out great. Got the GPS, WiFi and extended coverage. Normally don't but this was first trip to Iceland and wanted to just take everything in without worrying about strong winds and flying rocks. Emma was great recommending places I could visit since my initial plans feel through. Very grateful for the staff's patience and professionalism. Had the car two days with no problems on the road, made so many memories I was starting to feel emotional when I brought it back. Checkout was a piece of cake. They asked if I had an problems. Since I had nobe they said I was good to go. No inspection. No hassle. Since I had the extended coverage. Easy walk to the airport with time to relax before my flight. Their process was smooth and very upfront on all charges. They even sent me an email during the trip reminding me my key fob would get me discounted fuel at certain gas stations, which was perfect when it was time to fill up and return the car. Definitely recommend them and cannot wait to come back for a longer trip and check some more things off the list. One final note, I was on a pilgrimage of sorts and needed no hassles or distractions, and something dependable. The staff helped me get there on all counts.

Only downside is having to purchase. 2-day minimum (hundreds of dollars extra) when you only need the rental for 24 hours.

One of the few (only?) rentals that allows pickup in Reykjavik and return at the airport, so that was much appreciated. Vehicle was in great shape and pickup/return were both easy.

Pick up and drop off at the airport was quick and easy. The indications received by email for pick up and drop off were easy to follow. We had booked a Kia Sportage and it's what we got. The car was in perfect condition, clean, and as described on the website, with enough space for our luggage and comfortable enough for a 2700 km road trip. The 4WD is a must for the dirt roads of Iceland, in any weather condition. Blue Car Rental sent us a weather warning at one point, which was helpful in planing our day in difficult weather. If we get a chance to go back, we will rent from them again. I recommend.

From the very beginning when we ordered a car online, to pick up and until the drop off, the process was so easy and efficient! The staff were pleasant and welcoming at both ends. The car was clean, operated great and the description of the amount of space for both people and luggage was very accurate! The only issue were the windshield wipers, needed to be replaced but worked enough! I would defintely use Blue again!

The car was the model I wanted and in excellent condition.

Pickup and handover went smoothly and without endless paperwork. The offer with the key box from which you retrieve the key was fantastic.

Any questions were answered promptly.

Everything was smooth and easy.

I rented a Dacia Bigster 4x4 for August (16 days) with all available insurances and had a very positive experience.
Pickup and Dropoff are very easy, had a small hiccup with the keybox pickup but could speak to someone immediately without any wait to get the issue resolved.
During my trip i also called the customer service once for a question and they were also friendly and fast to help me.
Over all can recommend.

Ease of pick up of vehicle. Easy use of App for vehicle booking process.

Car was clean and felt like new. We had a punctured tire and was replaced costless due to the full insurance option.

Despite a little hiccup with the older RAV4 we had booked (a flat battery at pickup), we had a very good experience with Blue. We were given a free upgrade to an Outlander PHEV due to the battery issue, and the booking and returns processes were straightforward.

The experience was very smooth. We walked to the office at the airport, picked the keys from a locker and walked straight to the car. 5 mins. in and out. No hassle, everything just worked.

Used the self check in and it worked with out problems and the car didn’t have any problems.

The car was booked as used and it had some marks on the outside but inside was perfect.

Return was also seemless and fast.
We was changed the return address by calling the customer service team and it was without any problems. Very good!

I had a very positive experience renting a Dacia Bigster. The car was brand new, clean, and fully prepared when I picked it up. The automatic check-in process was quick and straightforward, and the 24/7 opening hours are a fantastic advantage, especially for late arrivals or early departures.

The website also deserves special mention. It works very well on mobile devices, provides all the necessary information clearly, and makes the whole rental process easy to understand and navigate.

Overall, an excellent and very well-organized rental experience. I would definitely use the service again.
