Can never get an answer on the phone, but pop in and service is second to none
Audiologist was great, listened and gave good advice. This gave me confidence in him and the products that he was showing me. He left me to decide what to purchase and didn't push for any options

Sales pitch- appalling, felt railroaded and shell shocked
Actual hearing test and explanation fabulous. Was given one pair to try for 5 mins and to come back. At which point it became the most pressured selling I have ever experienced. Not only had the audiologist not got any leaflets on the various products that I could consider, I had no prices either. Instead the lady got a blank piece of A4 paper wrote £600 on the left hand side and drew a line over to the right and wrote £5095. Then proceeded to ask me where did I see myself in terms of buying the products. Then gave me details on essential being basic aid up to top being premium. Again asked for some leaflets on product prices, she glanced around the room and said she did not have one sorry. At this point I said with mild hearing loss I wouldn’t be at the top price clearly so maybe middle ground but really not sure. That was the signal to tell me the aids I had in were right for me then. Even though I had said the aids were dragging on my collar creating noise in my ear. To which I was told we will order the smaller size.(later found out there is no smaller unit size for this model) She then proceeded to put an order on the system, but the price of the product was as £2500 EACH.. (not a typo). At which point surprise surprise she then created an entry to knocked off £1495 and another entry to knock off another £600. Bringing the aids now down to £2995!!
She was eager to get me back in for my fitting and even booked an appt for the following week to fit them. No deposit paid nor did I sign any document. I left shellshocked and felt railroaded without proper info into this. So I rang boots customer service’s who are now investigating this. In the meantime after lots of research and getting separate advice I have now got 1 extra years warranty plus a smaller unit with the pricing even for those quotes by boots originally being £600 cheaper !!. Wholesale hearing noted my coat noise issue and advised a better smaller size model same range at no extra charge. As they have Great trustpilot reviews. And they will save me a further £600 now down to £2400 with a free TV connector as well lots of advice and support provided.
Would not have thought of going elsewhere except for the sake of the terrible experience and excessive discounted which made me mistrusting Boots even more.
Just hope any older people going in do not experience the situation I did which is why I reported it and will await there response.
