Strimmer broke (within warranty)

Strimmer broke (within warranty). You have to send the item to Bosch as they have "the chance to repair". Easy peasy – if you have a box big enough to put a strimmer in it (doesn't everyone?!). I didn't, so I had to cadge a box to join onto another box to fit the strimmer in (after giving the strimmer a good clean which took ages). What a waste of my time (when it broke the strimmer had smoke coming out of it and a stong burning smell; no way is it repairable), but having spoken to Bosch customer service (not very impressive) I was told this is what I have to do. Who knows what will happen next.....my previous strimmer (different make) broke within warranty and was replaced straight away without the extreme hassle of me having to clean/package/despatch the broken one.

Poor customer service

I spoke with a customer service staff today by the name of Leigha from Bosch the repairs service aftercare team. Obviously poor customer service regarding the process of returning a power tool collection. I had to even ask if I would be sent an acknowledgment/ email regarding the collection? Very vague & uninterested member of staff representing Bosch! 0/10.
I am still awaiting a email confrontation!

Bosch should be ashamed.

I bought a GCM12SD: 12" dual bevel parallelogram miter say 09/24/2021 from Home Depot. I am a contractor and got a contract under the condition that I could finish by a certain date. I looked at the Dewalt miter saw, and had in fact borrowed a 12" chop saw (non-sliding) before and had great luck with it. Instead of buying the sliding model of the Dewalt, I figured I should at least compare it to other brands. I looked at the Bosch and liked the fact that it didn't need an extra 12" from the wall, and after trying the parallelogram motion could tell that it was smoother and would not get gunked up like a slider. Then the fact that it was only about $60 more at the time, I took it home. I was surprised on the first cut, when I discovered there was no marker for where the cut was being made. That is my own fault for not checking out the details. If you look, it is obvious that no laser or LED is available. When you call Bosch asking if they have one that you can purchase, they say, "Buy a laser washer and put it on the blade spindle." Those are readily available from Amazon for about $30. That turns out to be almost as bad as nothing. Only one side of the blade is shown, and that is not EXACTLY where the blade cuts. It is off just slightly. The Dewalt has an LED that shows both sides of the blade in the exact spot where the blade will cut. I almost took it back, but if I missed the due date, the penalties were more than the saw and I was out of time. I bulled through the whole project by bringing the blade close to the cut line and adjusting the cut position for every cut. I think I forgot to say the LED will show the blade position without having the blade spinning, which is required on the laser. I made it through and met the deadline but was ashamed of myself for missing the absence of the marker. On youtube, I found a guy who put a sewing machine LED on the same saw, so I did the same with great results. I was happy as a clam with an LED marker and a smooth sliding and great cutting miter saw. I was fine until two weeks ago, over a year later, when I needed to cut a dado at a pretty steep angle. Steep enough that it would be difficult on the table saw. The Bosch manual says that a depth stop can be set to cut a dado. Let me hasten to add that they also say, not once, but twice, in the manual: [quote] "NOTE: For best results, Bosch recommends the use of a table saw with an optional dado blade
set for cutting grooves and non-through cuts. In
the event this is not available, the feature described
below is a convenient alternative." [end quote] Turns out the stop works great, but there is so much slop in the parallelogram (that you don't notice when cutting through the board) that the depth of the dado varies 1/8" or more. Back to youtube to see if anyone else is having this problem. I didn't find anyone who tried to cut a dado with the Bosch, but there was a guy that was cutting grooves in wood to bend. His cuts were all quite consistent depth and he was using a Hercules miter saw from Harbor Freight. The 1-year warranty is up on my saw and I have modified it by putting the LED on it, so neither Harbor Freight nor Bosch will take it back. I haven't bothered to ask. I am, however, getting ready to sell the Bosch so I can purchase a Hercules that is $300 less expensive and works better with an LED and depth cuts. I'm ashamed the I missed these details when I was buying the saw. Bosch should be ashamed too.

If I could I would give them 0 stars as…

If I could I would give them 0 stars as they are that bad!!!! My husband ordered some replacement parts but the never arrived. He contacted them and they said they did not have correct address even though he had given full postal address. To be fair they did refund him so he could put a fresh order in as apparently it was the quickest way to sort out the problem….. well he reordered the items a month ago and guess what, still no parcel and they are still looking into it. They are total rubbish. If we ran a business like they do we wouldn’t have any customers by now

Bosch Brand is Regret. Irrelevant Technical Service Concept

About a month ago, I bought a Bosch SMS45NW00T a+ 5 Program Dishwasher. The machine leaves the dishes watery and stained. I called technical service. Two children sent by the technical service said that we should use polisher without even examining the machine properly and they went straight away. I called the technical service, a lady named Emine said that she had the same problem, made the shine settings and used the polisher, and the problem was solved and hung up the phone. I called the head office about the subject and forwarded it again, and when I said do you confirm that I had to use polisher, they said that they could not convey any information in this way. A brand like Bosch sends two young people as a technical service and diagnoses it indifferently without even looking at the machine properly. Do not trust the technical service system and do not buy Bosch, no matter how high quality the brand says, the people they employ do not have even the slightest knowledge of what quality service is. Stay away from Bosch for dishwasher. My trust in the brand was also broken due to unqualified employees.

Totally disgusting service

Bosch 4061839922 just rang Bosch again spoke to Janet who was totally unhelpful, I have been waiting 11weeks for a hose under warranty the lady was rude and refused to take a complaint from me. I insisted in making a complaint she put the phone down on me. What a rude person. Get your act together Bosch. My advice is Buy Karcher as Bosch don’t care.

Ignorant unhelpful and inept

Ignorant, unhelpful and inept: truly shocking Customer Service helpline.
They said they would call me back yesterday within the hour and they didn’t..
So I called them back on the way home
And they didn’t seem to want to help
And told me I have to wait until they called me back ??
But they didn’t...
This ridiculous nonsense has been going on for more than a week now: we are trying urgently to operate a brand new Aquatek Eco pressure washer of theirs, brand new out of the box, and they are pretending to know nothing about it and seem totally unwilling to engage on the matter. Very disappointing.

Where is the support?!

Customer Service at Bosch is quite lacking, their tools are not that great and mixing subpar equipment with subpar service makes for a very disappointing experience.

Terrible service/Social media power rules

Terrible service, no guarantee for Bosch drill which failed after 42 days, I was told in Wythenshawe branch they only offer 30 days returns even on faulty goods take it up with Bosch, which I did, they said you have to register within 4 weeks, so I have a drill which fell in bits. be careful what you but from them, 30 days on electrical goods is not enough, this must be explained on purchase adequately,
So Wickes customer service agent Gordon helped me find a solution, he helped me return the drill to Bosch who agreed it was a manufacturing fault and sent me a new one free of charge. I'm changing the stars to 3 because of Gordons efforts and not the lack of interest from the wythenshawe branch. I only used it 8 times for 10mm holes in common brick and the chuck fell off, all good new one on the way. wickes you owe Gordon.

Bought a Bosch tool enticed by free battery. The rigmarole in getting this is terrible, intrusive, and complex. Regret getting tool as feel conned. How not to deal with Customers. Please train your Customer Services staff

Bought a rechargeable Hedge Cutter from Screwfix and after 19 months it has broken down. Unfortunately I do not have receipt and anything over 18 months is archived by them and I need Invoice to trace. Suggested contacting Bosch who when I contacted them said I need an Invoice before they will repair under warranty. Legally speaking you do not if you can prove they manufactured goods which is auite easy to establish. Spoke to rude customer advisor who would not pass me onto her manager and actually cut me off when I pointed this fact to her. Won’t buy Bosch again.

Sander Warranty Issues

First of all I was late registering for my 3 year warranty and Bosch very kindly did it for me within a day of sending an email.
I bought the Bosch PBS75A Belt Sander 230v (an excellent tool) in November 2020 and it stopped working due to clogging of the Dust Passage with sawdust. They arranged pick-up within 18 hours of me reporting it on their website. Within 24 hours I had a response saying the issue was due primarily to lack of proper maintenance - after a couple of days of debate we reached a satisfactory outcome in a courteous and civil way. Most impressed with the speed of their responses and how they managed it.

Shock, horror- a help line that works!!

I had a problem registering for the warranty on my new Bosch fridge freezer on their website.
I phoned the number and incredibly spoke to a human being after holding for 5 minutes.
5 minutes later, it was all sorted!!
It was Sunday! If only all companies employed people to deal with customers by telephone!

Awful customer service/after sales support. AVOID!!!

I purchased the Dremel 4000 multi tool on 4 August 2020. Initially I was happy with the tool. However, yesterday, I tried to use the flexible shaft attachment and the machine started to emit smoke. On closer examination I noticed that the cable that runs through the extension was loose and actually fell out! I contacted the seller who advised me to contact Bosch directly. I did this, only to be told that "accessories" are not covered by warranty. However, this is not an accessory it is an extension of the machine. I asked for a refund and was refused. I am now stuck with a tool that is 5 weeks old, had hardly any use and is no longer in working order, and is potentially dangerous. The seller has advised me to contact Bosch customer service to request a replacement part. I have done this and still awaiting a response. shocking customer service and staff on the helpline are not prepared to listen to what the problem is. Just seem to concentrate on avoiding all responsibility.

BOSCH POF-1400-ACE this is a 1/4 inch - Very poor Customer Service

BOSCH POF-1400-ACE this is a 1/4 inch router with a stated plunge depth of 55mm. What Bosch don't tell you is that you can't utilise this depth because you can't buy router bits to cut to this depth in 1/4 inch shaft size. The 1/4 inch shaft size is not strong enough to take longer cutter bits. Being new to routers this was a surprise and I contacted Bosch to complain. I got passed around various so called customer service departments and just fobbed off. So, if like me you assume a product that states it plunges to certain depth will actually cut to that depth beware this particular router wont come close.
And you wont getting anything even close to good customer service from Bosch.

Terrible Product Quality

I bought a very expensive (listed at £104.70 inc VAT in the UK) and supposedly professional quality article no. B-2-609-200-143 circle cutting jig for a Bosch GOF series router (their premium professional quality/blue power tool line) from a supplier in Germany (couldn't find one in stock in the UK) two weeks ago, and was horrified at the cheap construction, and by the number of defects it contained.
It was unusable as received.
This from a company that in years gone by delivered top quality and expert engineering above all else
It turned out to be a cheap and tacky plastic injection moulding (no obvious mention of plastic in the listing), and not the expected die casting per other accessories bought some years ago.
Not only that it was badly warped - out of flat by perhaps 2-3mm.
The main moulding should have been rejected.
Bosch clearly know about the problem, but sell the item anyway - the mould had been bodged in a highly unprofessional and failed attempt to stop the item rocking on a flat surface. Material had been machined away from it to create an ad hoc support rib on the underneath.
The guide rail slot was both undersized and warped.
The 'pop in' standard hex nuts used in place of proper threaded inserts are loose fitting, and fall out when disturbed.
The item shows signs of being the result of a minimum price outsource it in the far East job - bought by an accountant or similar and not subject to competent engineering oversight.
I had an urgent job to get done, and hence ended up wasting over a day's labour and a further £15 in materials to sort it out - heating and clamping it to get the warp out, then filling the back of the part with a polyester compound to stabilise it, then machining the base surface flat, adjusting the fit of the guide rail slot etc etc.
It now works, but in retrospect I should simply have returned it for a refund and made my own jig - I'd have ended up with a quality item for a few Euros and about the same input of time.
Even a refund is these days made complicated - shipping to Germany is expensive, and Bosch in the UK in keeping with many businesses make it extremely difficult to find contact addresses and phone numbers on their website - possibly so that calls are routed through a call centre.
This isn't so far as I'm concerned acceptable. All of my many workshop power tools are Bosch, but replacements from now on will likely not be - there's been several failures, and this is close to the end of the line.
I'd really like to hear some feedback from Bosch Power Tools on this matter - is this considered acceptable?
The early 1960s Bosch electric drill I inherited from Father meanwhile contrinues to work trouble free....
