Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 115 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding staff to be rude, unhelpful, and often unwilling to assist with issues like gift card problems or car wash malfunctions. Reviewers also frequently mentioned that products were overpriced, with some feeling exploited due to the high costs of fuel and other items. Though some customers reported positive interactions with staff, describing them as friendly, polite, and helpful, a significant number of people were dissatisfied with the general service, including long queues, issues with self-service options, and poorly maintained facilities like dirty toilets. Some people also felt that the company's policies, such as fining customers for staying over 30 minutes even when queuing for services, were unfair.

I used the bp garage in biggleswade to jet wash my work van took the cardboard out in order to jet wash inside the back of the van forgot to put the card board which I had placed by the side of the jet wash near the bins back in to my van bp in biggleswade then complained to my company and the council that I fly tipped once my company rang me up and informed me off my mistake I quickly went back to remove the card board then today I went to use the jet wash again they cut the power off to the jet wash once they already took my money i went in to ask why he cut the power off to the jet was he said I'm not to use the jet wash as customers complained about the smell even though I have only used it a few times I asked for my money back he said I didn't pay then said I had fly tipped before I try to explain what happened he didn't listen i went out side to close my van doors then came back inside to ask for my money back he said I didn't pay he then asked me for the last 4 digits of my card I gave them to him he said I would be refunded he told me not to use the jet wash because of the smell I said there was no sign up saying I couldn't use it he then said it was common sense my van does not carry hazardous waste or items it's a van that delivers fresh fish there no sign saying I can't use the jet wash on commercial vehicles the van does pong hence why I jet washed it he then locked me inside the shop so I told him to open the door and then he let me out will be reporting this matter to the authorities there was no need for him to be rude I accept the fact I was rude back but he should not have locked me inside the shop as how does he know that I wasn't the sort of person to kick off it was a very silly move that could of made the situation worse when he had no right to stop me from leaving as I was walking away from the situation I will respect the BP garage and not return however I will be taking things further about this rude man I expect my refund as soon as possible

Bradwell BP service station - Shabeeth

Shabeeth was very welcoming and chatty when I entered the Bradwell store on my way to work. He always recognises me when I go in and always makes great effort to create conversation when I go in. He really knows how much of a difference how a short conversation can make, even when it comes to getting your petrol!

Avoid this site – car wash scam & predatory parking fines

I paid for a car wash at this BP/MFG Sutton site, only to find the car wash was broken. When I returned days later to use what I’d already paid for, I had to queue for over an hour — then got hit with a parking fine from Euro Car Parks for “overstaying.”

I never left my vehicle. I was in a queue for a paid service, in full control, delayed only because MFG can’t run or maintain their own equipment. Absolutely no warning that queuing could get you fined.

Worse, no response at all to my complaint from MFG or BP. Zero accountability. They take your money, fail to deliver, and fine you for their own failures.

This is either gross mismanagement or a deliberate trap — either way, it’s disgraceful. I’ve escalated to POPLA and Trading Standards. Think twice before giving them your business.

Useless filling station / convenient store

BP / M&S, Tickenham road Clevedon, North Somerset, this place keeps closing for periods of time without warning or explanation. All you get from staff in a blank and quite frankly rude & arrogant shrug.
This garage shop is a key convenience to the local community and I believe they have a duty of service which they not giving.

Remember Deepwater Horison

Remember Deepwater Horison? I do, and I feel that I was being blamed for this, the world wars, and the absence of peace:
A visit to BP in Holdsworthy was (again) a frustration and exercise in restraint. I needed to fill three 5 litre fuel cans. No sooner had I placed them on the ground and started the highly technical process than a high viz with a human inside announced at my shoulder that I would only be permitted to fill two of them.
" I can't believe you, you are kidding me?"
"You can only fill two"
I should have done three anyway, but I didn't.
I was approached by two other customers who had overheard this stazi guard routine.
I cold have paid for my brace of cans, then I assume I would be within the rules to fill a single one. But I declined.
With the challenges we face, it is astounding that a company that sells petrol doesn't want to sell petrol. Decisions taken by a shelf merchandiser on behalf of a multinational that has recently upgraded the site to reflect its modern marketing. No thanks...other brands are available. Thankfully.

We stopped at a BP in Gainesville

We stopped at a BP in Gainesville, GA. (8879462) #27Sunshine. Terrible access (entrance and egress), price at station was different than google maps, bathroom was filthy (no toilet paper). Thought BP had higher standards for the brand. Won’t be stopping again.

BP/M&S rip off

I have just been to a BP/M&S petrol station where I purchased a few items as well as petrol. When I arrived home I noticed the bunch of daffodils I bought cost me £3 whereas the same bunch would cost £1 anywhere else including at M&S. How can they charge 300% more? Never again will I buy ANYTHING from BP. No doubt the other items I bought also cost a lot more but there is no price on the packaging for me to check and it is too far for me to go back and return everything.

I paid for a platinum car wash at Brighton Mill rd. I was in a hurry so didn’t check my van before leaving the forecourt. When I checked it 15 minutes later it was dirty. I rang the garage but was told because I’d left the forecourt nothing could be done. The staff were unhelpful and the car wash inadequate. Avoid.
