Typing this with a half shaved face…

Typing this with a half shaved face because this useless product, even though it has been charged overnight, died after less than a minute of use. Ive used this trimmer once, this being my second use. And I had a similar issue on my first use with it. Garbage product, meant for peach fuzz, not any amount of real facial hair. Waste of money and resources.

Going around in circles

I bought a beard and body trimmer which has 13 attachments. One of the attachments was missing and it was a crucial one for my needs. I contacted them and they offered a tiny £5 refund. This was not acceptable so I insisted on the part but they could not send the part. They are so slow in replying and every time it is someone different so they don't know what the situation is properly. Eventually I had to send it back for a replacement but instead of replacing it they refunded me despite lots of messages stating a replacement as well as a note in the box. I bought the product again and the same part is missing!! I have contacted them again and it is the exact same story with a £5 refund offer.
Also, they never use my name, only refer to me by a single letter.

It came with no instructions just a few words on a sheet
I could not register it with the extended warranty .
I rang them on a chat line they said I needed customer services .
I rang them and got a short message thanks for calling good by
I tried to ring back and they said try later
So I have no real idea of how to use it
this is so poor foe an expensive razor

Don't buy Braun products

Had a Braun steam generator iron replaced as it couldnt be fixed, constant negotiation with technical support eventually they sent me another replacement, now that it has broken down these guys dont respond to emails and wait times for customer service is over 30 mins, and if you're lucky you might get through...its been 4 days been trying to call them.. absolutely disgraceful

Braun S5 electric shaver, absolute rubbish. Stops working, even when fully charged. Then needs a 10 second charge connection. Pack it in a suitcase and it is completely dead. Expensive landfill.

I bought a Series8 razor and it was ok…

I bought a Series8 razor and it was ok for about 4 months. I would shave every 2 days so the razor wasn’t overwhelmed. I cleaned it after every shave. But lately it is getting more uncomfortable to shave as it feels more like it tugs on my stubble more and blades must be getting dull already. Seeing several reviews that replacement head is even worse for quality I am reluctant to replace head. I bought the Braun thinking the brand was high quality and the price was expensive. I am very disappointed that in only a few months the razor does not give me a comfortable or close shave. I am considering just throwing it out rather than buying expensive replacement heads every few months. My experience has been to not buy a foil shaver from Braun unless you really consider all the expenses of owning one. It is disappointing that the quality of shave has been reduced so quickly. I have owned other foil shavers and rotary ones that held up much longer before requiring blade head replacement.

Replacement products take forever

We ordered a hand blender that arrived damaged and had to be returned. I was under the impression a new one would be sent out once it was collected but apparently it's a 10 day wait from it arriving at their warehouse before they send out another one. It would have been quicker for me to get a refund and buy it again (as it would have come in a couple of days). The blender was for a medicinal drink my wife needs for acid reflux so getting a replacement was fairly urgent for us, but the phone line couldn't offer us any idea of when we'd get the replacement as it's 'in the warehouse' - when I pointed out it would be quicker to get a refund and buy a new one I was also told 'but it's in the warehouse now' so that wasn't an option. At this point I asked to escalate as I was unhappy but was told if I did that it would 'slow things down' - essentially a threat to stop me complaining. The phone staff in general seem like they haven't been trained properly and don't know any of the companies processes. Overall a pretty poor experience - it took so long to come we had to buy another one elsewhere (which obviously came before their replacement).

Incorrect UK plugs. Ignored support contact

Selling items on UK amazon that has chargers for non-UK plugs. Many comments saying the same happened to them. Website support ignored several emails about this so I had to buy my own adapter.

Was really suprised at the other low reviews when coming here to post this, always say Braun as a good quality company but something has changed.

Braun razor head replacements

bought high-end razor series 9, also to avoid consuming plastic razor blades as well as shaving foam. I went back to all that, because replacement heads break on average within 6 months_ shaving quality also not exceptional.
Very disappointed.

They don't honour the guarantee

I bought a Braun shaver. One of the reasons I chose Braun was that it was advertised as having a 5 year guarantee.

Well, after about 2 and a half years, it broke.

No problem, I thought, it's still under guarantee, I'll just get in touch with Braun and they'll sort it out.

But no, that's not what happened.

I got in touch with them and they told me that the literature advertising the 5 year guarantee was in error, and really it's only a 2 year guarantee.

Pretty sure that's not legal, but honestly life is too short to take Braun to court over it. I've just made a note never to buy a Braun product ever again.

I notice that they're still advertising their shavers as having a 5 year guarantee, so they don't seem in any hurry to correct the "error".

Pretty dishonest practice.

The item was marked as delivered

The item was marked as delivered, however it was not delivered to my address. After trying to track the parcel down I got in touch with braun, I sent them the proof of delivery photo, and photos of my house (which has my house name on a big plaque on the wall) to prove it wasn't my house. They told me I would have to wait 2 working days (this was a Friday afternoon) for them to investigate my claims! If their investigation doesn't go in my favour then tough! I spent nearly £100 of a shavers (that isn't all that amazing) to not have the item i paid for!

Braun shaver

Braun shaver. 19 months old. Used 2-3 times a week. The foil started jumping out of the head 2 weeks ago. After an email exchange customer service told me "The foil and cutterblock are precision parts which are subject to wear. They should last up to 18 months" and "As you have used your shaver head for over 18 months we recommend buying a new one" I'm so unlucky that mine was 19 months. Anyway....that's what I will do, buy a new one. Shaver that is. No more Braun products plus whatever social media I can find to explain what a poor company this has become. Although Braun must know this with a rating of 1.4.

Braun was a good company that took care…

Braun was a good company that took care of its customers, but today that has changed a lot. A $150 toothbrush broke down: emails and phone calls but no one to help. I live in Thailand and no one to tell me how to find out if I am still under warranty and where to send the item for repair. A disgrace.

The Braun 3s I bought six months now…

The Braun 3s I bought six months now lies in my draw. I have yet to get anything like a clean shave. I have paid over £50+ buying replacement heads but I still cannot get anything close to a shave. So much for German good quality. I will not buy anymore from Braun.

Charge dies while toothbrush reading says 40%. Reading online, everybody experiences this for a £200+ electric toothbrush. Not good enough, brand is a fraud. DO NOT BUY.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Like many other people my experience is that Braun do not honour their obligations under the UK consumer protection act 2015. The customer service department is not worthy of its name.

It would seem that company policy is to deny customers their rights in order to save money.

Poor product and non existent customer service.

Impossible to contact

I had a problem with a trimmer which was made from flimsy plastic and broke. Trying to get in touch with them is an absolute nightmare. Every time you contact them they say “aha that’s not us you need to go here” so you contact a different email that says “aha that’s not us you need to go here” etc you get the picture

This company is a an abomination of sub companies within sub companies with no joined up consumer help center , navigating it is almost impossible

If I were cynical I’d say they couldn’t give a stuff once you’ve bought the product

Braun Pro 3 toothbrush saga

Braun Pro 3 toothbrush. Bought two, one for me one for wife sept 2024. Wifes stopped after 7 months. Would not charge or turn on. Spent a week sending photos and explanations back and forth until they agreed I could send it back. Just send the toothbrush not the charger and case I was told. Took another 10 days before they gave up and replaced it. BUT with another version. One that does not fit the original travel case which came with the toothbrush and charger as a set. When I pointed this out their irritating customer service said "the case is not covered by warranty". I pointed out the case came with the toothbrush and charger and both are fine. They just replaced my wifes toothbrush with one that will not fit the case. Its an upgrade they said. BUT it will not fit I said its case I said ...OMG

Would I buy it Again YES

Would I buy it Again? YES.

Recently I have had to take blood thinners so wet blade shaving (Gillette etc) is now problematic regards nicks and excessive bleed.
Over the years I have tried to move to foil shavers but I always developed a rash and the shave was inferior so reverted to wet blade shaves.

I researched all of the available electric foil shavers over a period of two days and finally decided on the Braun Mens 9+ shaver.

After three weeks for me the 9Plus totally achieves all I wanted it to do and through trials I find that using it with a shaving gel gives me an excellent shave. In fact I honestly think it is as good as a wet blade shave.

Solid, well constructed and due to the design of the head it gets right under the nose/ top lip area and my (old man!) hairy ears.

Extremely easy to clean, with a (for me) five days shave before a recharge.

Yes it is very expensive, however given all the positives I still think it is great value.
