Cannot service what they sell!

I brought 4 Breitling watches in for service. After 2 months they emailed me stating that one of the watches could not be repaired due to the fact that they "were unable to source the necessary parts needed to complete the required service" I thought watches were time pieces that you can hand down...so not really. They suggested I buy a new watch to replace the one they could not repair and would give me a 40% discount on a new watch up to $2,000. Why would I purchase another watch from a company that cannot service what they sell?
I am done with Breiting...and just to let you know 5 months have passed and I am still missing 2 watches from service ... I contacted them and they tell me another 3 months, that makes it 8 months for servicing my watches. Stay away...no longevity for their watches and they cannot even service what they sell in what I would call a normal time frame!

Buckle fault on the Endurance Pro

The buckle on the Endurance Pro rubber strap flexes if under any strain (say when you are doing sports) and the pin drops out. If the watch then hits a hard surface that same composite buckle snaps. Dont try to take it back or ask for replacement buckle, Breitling will laugh at you. Buy one at your peril, it will fall off and someone else will be wearing your £3K watch. I wish I had read the other Trustpilot reviews below before I bought a Breitling, you are all correct. Horrible customer service.

Nice looking watches but don’t expect reliability

I bought a Breitling Wingman ( £2,500) in 2004 , since then I’ve spent £1400 in service costs every three years in total and it stopped working AGAIN 2 years ago, haven’t bothered with it since . Appalling costumer service and snotty , rude ‘agents ‘ dealing with my issue at their ‘ flagship’ boutique in Bond Street London . Said the service I needed was £3,100 or £420 for an essential one? More than the watch cost ! Absolute flash rubbish.

Breitling is a beautiful watch until it continuously breaks. zero customer service. Spoke with Donovan at the Toronto head office. They will paint a picture that your broker the watch that the experts say this and that them charge you with a 1600 dollar bill cause the hands fell off. I spent over a thousand dollar on some rediculous service. I own the watch 5 years it’s been sent back twice for repairs. It the super avenger two which is meant to be a durable watch. I sit at a desk all day. I own Rolexes and I strongly recommend for the extra few bucks go that way you will not regret the customer service and that’s a watch that will last for life no questions asked

Shocking product

After many years of wanting a Briefing Watch I finally managed to purchase a superocean in June, six months later it was gaining approximately 8 minutes over a five day period and has now been returned for a repair, so very disappointed with the oh dear never mind its being repaired it will only take 8 - 10 weeks attitude, ( far too long in my opinion ) this Watch cost me a lot of money and I don’t expect it to be faulty within such a short space of time. Would never recommend or purchase another should have stuck with Tag have had that one for 20 years and it’s still going strong

Breitling Watches = Inferior Product

I have purchased a total of 5 Breitling watches. Three of them had to be returned due to functionality issues. Just purchased a Super Chrono 44 three weeks ago. The crown fell out and I sent it to customer service, as Breitling insisted they couldn’t replace it with a new watch after owning it for three weeks. When I called customer service again for an update, they stated it would take 2-3 weeks just to diagnose the problem. Stay away from Breitling watches. They are a INFERIOR product. I have owned 5 Rolex watches, which have performed flawlessly.

The watches are of very high quality which is not surprising for one of the Top Ten Swiss Watch brands.
For best customer service I can recommend to visit your local Breitling Boutique or a trustworthy AD.

Worst

Worst, third grade, hopeless service
No responsibility to reply for any service or quarries here in Bangalore India. Keep making us run around looking for a service centre and if u find one minimum time 30-45 days which is absurd. You guys got to up your service quality if not at-least have good team to respectfully reply customer

Bad customer and technical service

Unfortunately, a brand with beautiful watches but a terrible and poor customer and technical service, are 2 months and it is still impossible to get additional links ref # 123U for a Breitling Chronomat 42 mm B01, many Breitling representative stores consulted in Florida, US and in the world and none of them provide a solution. Bad decision to buy a Breitling, it has no comparison with the Rolex service!

Breitling Store Newcastle upon Tyne

Visited there new Newcastle store. Staff sitting around talking about there night out the day before. Asked to see a couple of watches but was after purchasing a Endurance pro watch. The male member of staff didn't have a clue about the products and couldn't be bothered to answer my questions and couldn't be bothered to get off his seat to approach customers was very unhelpfull. I left and felt very disappointed with there attitude and experience after buying several Breitling watches in the past from other retailers I thought there store would be the place to go to see new models and have a good experience in there. Sadly not. Went to Berry's jewellers across the road and bought the Breitling watch I was after there. Lost out on a good sale due to very poor customer service at the Breitling store.

Awful customer service

Missus bought a watch strap for my birthday. She doesn't know much about watches and bought me the wrong size. Asked if I could return it or exchange. Generic, poorly written email back stating no, read our returns policy???? Awful customer service. Would never buy this brand again.

Edit. Somehow became even worse. Eventually Breitling agreed to exchange the watch strap. Very little information and contact throughout. Arranged pickup and got confirmation that DHL had returned my strap. No sign of exchange. Attempted to contact them to enquire about the exchange, they have blocked my email address. Unbelievable.

Edit 2. In the name of fairness, the strap arrived and was correct. The communication was the worst I've ever experienced though. I've added a star for the strap arriving.

Am reeling in shock based on what I thought of Breitling and what they actually are

Bought one of their Endurance Pro models. The name is ironic because just after 2 years when it was barely out of warranty the number 6 came loose and caused the watch to stop. I brought it to their new shop in Dublin who sent it off and Breitling came back looking for 1600 euro to fix it and tried to blame it on the fact I got the battery changed by an expert jeweller 10 months previously. 1600 euro to repair a quartz watch???? I am reeling in shock but having seen and read their ratings here it looks like I am yet another sucker who actually believed they were a premium brand making a premium product with premium customer service when in reality they are a marketing organisation who make a poor quality product which they use to their advantage when you inevitably have to get it fixed when they will then charge you a fortune. I also have watches from Rolex and Panerai which are not only 10 times more reliable, they do not look to charge you anything like this for aftersales service and they are much more premium than Breitling. I also got a number of my friends and family to buy Breitling watches which I am furious about. Breitling also tried to tell me I needed a new strap. A new strap on a €3300 watch after 2 years. What does that say about their own quality? With 82% of ratings being 1 star and an overall rating of 1.5 (half of most of their competitors) I wish I had looked at Trustpilot before purchase.

Just as an update since I wrote this, I brought it to the jeweler who services my Rolex who fixed it perfectly and when I asked how much he said he would not dream of charging me for such a simple job..... and Breitling wanted 1600 euro!!!
