Very pleased with this product it absolutely does what it says on the tin, I have a vast amount of cds and it’s great being able to gradually add them to one hard drive. ( I’ve still a long way to go... See more

The database used for the album track information is community supported, tried dozens of CDs and only one came up with the information. Considering a number of my CDs contain CD text, Brennan support didn’t know about this which has been around for 30 years and used in CD & Mini Disc players and still used on 2026 releases I have! The unit was returned as not fit purpose.

I love the concept and most executions of this machine but I think the cd player could be better as it doesn’t like any cd that’s not in pristine condition.

Slow cd reading ( between 1.5 to 15.5), poor stability (use of face buttons produces random operations), use of ASUS computer produces screens with missing “button” nomenclature ( symbols for fwd/play/stop greyed out or missing)
Good communication with Sonos

Better than I thought easy to use. A bit slow identifying cd and does not identify some. Maybe I have a few older cds

Item was out of stock when I placed my order but there was a clear date on the site on when delivery of new stack was due. Also an approximate delivery date to me once new stock was in. Item delivered within that timescale

The Brennan does exactly what it says it can do

The concept is perfect - a dedicated CD storage and playback facility in a unit the size of a box of Corn Flakes - brilliant. And so far - after one week - everything seems to do exactly as in says on the back of the box - thanks, Mr Brennan.

Deliver was great, packaged well.
Sound quality through amplifier and speakers excellent. Sonos compatibility good but difficult to set up groups of speakers.
Navigation through unit menu's very poor. App. Is not any better. Unit is not user friendly. I have over 1000 CDs. Started to rip them but gave up after 40 cds. 60% of album information can't be found. Spent hours trying to manually input information. This was useless as some didn't save others disappeared. Couldn't edit info when ripping even albums already ripped.
I have downloaded my collection from my Network hard drive. Disappointed that i had to do this, as they are all MP3 files. This was one of the selling points of the Brennan. No loss in quality if you rip in Flack.
So far mainly played cds direct. As a jukebox it is very poor.
I have been looking at buying one for a few years. Bit disappointed and find my Sonos system better to use.
I feel it is now just an expensive CD player.

This review is about 2.5 years late. I meant to write it in the months after buying my B3 but I guess life got in the way. And, having said that, I can now write with 2.5 years of Brennan B3 experience.
What a machine! I've been collecting music for about 63 years. I've had vinyl right up until the first time I heard CD (early 80s) and have collected CDs since then.
Using the Brennan means that I can listen to ANY of my music (even stuff that was ripped from tape) from the comfort of any room and by use of a simple app. Any album or track can be found in seconds. It's heaven. And playlists can be constructed. Another joy.
The machine rips to FLAC (or MP3 if you're less fussy) and can store thousands of CDs.
The onboard tools are sufficient to keep one's library organised and safe. It allows backup to a USB drive and can perform a scan disc if ever the catalogue goes awry.
I had one problem with mine when a CD exploded in the drive (there must have been a flaw in the CD - it was one of those cheap demo things). The drive was replaced the B3 and back with within a week.
I've used mine both wirelessly and over ethernet. Both have worked perfectly (I'm an old fart and like the security of cable).
When I bought my B3, I was a little nervous as it cost a fair chunk of money but all I can say now is that it was (and is) worth every penny. On the very few occasions that I've failed to understand an aspect, I've been able to access the fantastic forum, which is full of incredibly knowledgeable and helpful users. I don't think I've ever had to wait for more than half an hour for a reply.
Buy one. You deverve it.

Overall a good experience, user guides could be enhanced for first time users, even if by direction to web based guidance, answers are there but need to be discovered

Having taken the plunge and bought the Brennan 3+ and upon receiving it, which took a little longer than expected. I got down to the task of ripping my collection, 200 or so albums in,i was looking through the radio stations to tfy adding a few to the list. This went horribly wrong and i ended up with a flashing screen and nothing else. On researching this issue it was a corrupted boot up card. I contacted Brennan and received a reply a few days later. This confirmed the issue and they offered to send me another sd card, to replace the corrupted one. This took all of 15 minutes to complete and all is well now and ripping through my collection again.

Every CD album I put in and rip comes up as unknown, extremely and useless poor database, albums are from Philips, CBS/Sony, Columbia, RCA etc. a waste of £800 if I have to enter every one of my 3000 or so CDs by album and track and have no artwork! 😡what is actually on the database?? even Mariah Carey Daydream and other big artist CD come up as unknown!
