another 1 star experience with Casey Agency

Poor service from Brightway/Casey Agency. After my home policy nearly tripled, I adv in writing I want to cancel. No action taken and no response to multiple emails by my agent, Lori Stamper (and not the first experience like this). After a week of non-response, I finally got a hold of Brightway so I could call the carrier directly who confirmed no action taken by Brightway to cancel. Brightway is unsympathetic to the fact that their inaction is costing their clients money. I also had to call my car insurance carrier directly to get a lower rate (which I paid but Brightway is still sending me messages to renew at higher rate). If you have to call the carriers directly...what is the point of using an agency?

Andrea Alvarez from Customer Service is finally helping me to get the home insurance cancellation done properly ( I hope) and has taken time to call me back and work with the carrier. So perhaps not "all" customer service is bad...but it shouldn't have come to this point in the first place.

Their credit card dept

Their credit card dept, is abysmal! I pay off my balance 90% of the time, and 90% on time. Yet, they still put a hold on my credit, AFTER they receive the $$ in their account!!! The "holds" on my CC is on average. 4-5 days!!!! Totally disrespectful and unprofessional! Don't get a CC w/these clowns!

Positive experience all around!

I've been with Tim and Janet at Brightway for over 10 years with home/auto coverage on past and current homes/autos. I've yet to have a bad experience. I consistently am treated like family, and the customer service is excellent. Within the past month we have purchased 1 car and have been gifted with another, and each event was seamless with the assist of Tim/Janet. I consistently refer them to all of my friends.

Worst service from Agent

We have had this company and our agent for 6 or 7 years. After the Hurricane Ian we found out that our homeowners policy had terminated due to bankruptcy. Our agent did not notify us and we kept getting a cancellation letter so we emailed the agent and she stated that everything was fine. We also had a flood insurance policy with her. After Ian destroyed our home we found out that we had lender placed insurance which covers nadda. The remodel put us in debt about 100K , since flood insurance/ FEMA does not cover everything. I had to deal with Progressive Flood Insurance myself with no help from the agency that has been getting commission for doing nothing the past 7 years. Our local agent did nothing and when called to ask her for some help she was never there. Found out she was battling cancer :(. But Brightway should have assigned an agent in the interim. I am a life/health agent I check on my policyholders quarterly to see if their insurance needs have changed. We never received a phone call . Service is poor, when you call brightway they say, our agent are independent so we cannot assist you.
