Still waiting for a refund 5 months on. Not allowed to speak to a manager.

Arrived at the airport to collect a car booked through BSP auto. The provider said I couldn’t take the car because they don’t accept First Direct credit cards. This is in their T&Cs but wasn’t passed on to me in the BSP booking info and T&Cs.

BSP didn’t try to solve the problem, they just admitted fault, said I’d be refunded the 75% within a few days and can claim the remaining 25% via a link that will be sent to me.

Because I couldn’t take the car I was stranded for hours in the airport waiting for a car from a different provider that cost me £ hundreds more.

What’s worse, I’m still waiting for the remaining 25% since August 2025z. I’ve called and called repeatedly and always get told the same thing… a manager isn’t available, they’ll call you back, we’re still processing your refund.

I’ve genuinely never been more disgusted and frustrated with a business.

Very bad service they waste my money…

Very bad service they waste my money and time i booked car 18:30 after pay they send me confirmation for 18:00 when I contact to service station they ask me we close at 18:00 clock if you take car directly from us then we wait and ask for 5x higher price then i contact to bsp auto they said we refund you 30 euro only but i paid them 80 i call explained every thing to operator for 20 mint they didn’t help me so be aware don’t turst them green motion malpensa airport and bsp auto

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I hired a car in Rennes through this company. They added fees at the end without communicating anything. I sent them lots of emails with no reply. Eventually they told me not to worry cause my excess insurance would cover it. Then they told me the charges were for cleaning and road violation. The car was clean and they provided no evidence of the violation.

As other say, they are scammers, do not use them!

Terrible experience with BSP Auto.

Terrible experience with BSP Auto.
They cancelled my booking themselves — I never got the car, yet they kept €95 of my payment.
Customer service replies but refuses to refund, even after confirming the contract was never opened.
Avoid this company – zero accountability.

The company sold me excess insurance on…

The company mis-sold me excess insurance on a Budget car hire in Jersey when Budget infact have no excess on their Jersey car hires. Despite mis selling this insurance to me, they refused to give me a refund when I tried to cancel the insurance before accepting the car and have since ignored all my emails. The excess insurer is Allianz in France and the contract is under French which complicates matters. This is a very dishonest company who are happy to miss sell products and then ignore any issues. Avoid them.

Avoid GotRental Cars, BSP-Auto, Drivalia

Paid for car hire and full (0 excess) insurance only to be told on pickup day by their sub contractor (rental car company, Drivalia) that this did not count and that we'd have to either put down a several thousand pound deposit or buy Drivalia insurance. Reluctantly agreed to put down deposit but credit card was declined despite having funds. Later discovered it was because Drivalia wasn't inserting card into reader (As if they didn't know that they had to do that for such sums...). So only option they then gave us was to buy their insurance. I definitely wasn't going to do that twice and was beginning to sense many red flags, so cancelled car hire. However even though I got GOTRENATAL CARS to talk to Drivalia during the episode, they said they couldn't do anything and that if I cancelled it would be classed as 'no show'. More like fraudulent collusion I'd say, or alternative is gross misleading about insurance. Disputed issue with GOTRENTAL CARS upon return. They said they would get me a refund once they got confirmation of cancellation from Drivalia. I already forwarded them an e-mail from Drivalia confirming this but still more than 1 month down the line GOTRENTAL CARS are saying they are waiting... so is that how much control they have over the people they are palming you off too? BTW the parent company are BSP-AUTO so if you see anything with any of the above names make sure you avoid using any of their services. These issues are not simply mistakes. There is no credible reason whatsoever that BSP-Auto/GOTRENTAL CARS should have such poor arrangements with their subcontractors nor that they should not be able resolve the issue in good time and simply procrastinate with the 'waiting' excuses. What? they can't pick up a phone? You've been warned...

Stay away

We booked a rental car by "Surprice" via "bsp-auto". Surprice had a long time pick us up from the Airport in Split. They told us the credit card wouldn't work. As it was late, we have no other opportunity than buy a additional expensive insurance. They mentionned to get in conact with "BSP", but they didn't even response to our email. Stay away from "Surprice" and "BSP". So take a car rental company which is in the arrival hall at the Airport (See Airport map, they have different desks there.)

SCAM warning

SCAM warning! Please be aware that BSP-auto are running a scam where they pull people in with super-low teaser car rental rates, issuing vouchers that are NEVER honored by the rental companies themselves. I had a very unfortunate incident where Sixt car rental refused to honor my BSP-auto voucher, leaving me without a rental and stranded late at night on a Sunday. I was then told by BSP-auto that they are keeping a £95 ``cancellation fee''. But I didn't cancel my booking! Be warned, SkyScammer is knowingly letting BSP-auto run this scam on their site. They will steal your money!

absolutely horrible customer service

absolutely horrible customer service. When we booked out rental the times were changed and when we called to have them corrected they tried to increase the cost, change the vehicle type, and then cancelled our reservation without permission. The customer service rep (if you can call him that) just said there is nothing we can do.

We have a problem with a car from Caldera, paid for and the contract was signed by you, BSP auto. I've sent numerous emails and called constantly, but BSP auto isn't responding. Please contact me, or I'll have to go to court.

Shoddy company - just a middle man

On arrival at the desk, an AMerican had his car hire cancleed as his flight was late, I thought poor guy.
THEN I HAD THE NEXT DRAMA o fthe day. I want a full refund of £165 GBP, the car rental agency in Sicily stated my pin was incorrect, I tried one other pin which I use which they stated was also incorrect. They would not allow any alternate payment from any of my other cards, this is not how the rest of the world does business.

I then logged onto my internet banking and have received a PIN by post, the pin received was in fact the one I used in Sicily the first time.

Your company is a middle man, YOU OWN NO CARS, you simply run a website arrange car rental on my behalf through an actual company in Sicily who supply cars. It is NOT MY FAULT that their card reader could not recognise my credit card pin number. This seriously delayed my holiday and i had to arrange alternate hire car. I want a full refund within seven days, AVOID this company at all costs. I walked up to another desk, collected a hire car for around the same rate (deal direct - AVOID middle men with no cars).

Shocking company

Shocking company! I used these guys from skyscanner and booked a car via them in singapore with Avis! They charged me at the beginning of my booking and also charged me again the same amount in error when I took the car. Now they refuse to refund me the funds blaming it on Avis and it’s been almost 2 months since I’ve been owed almost 300gbp! I have tried to resolve but they keep giving me the same nonsense saying they’re waiting on Avis! Surely they should refund me the money and take it up with the direct to resolve internally! Shocking company please avoid! I’m now having to take legal action which is going to cost in legal fees etc!

Unable to collect car due to office being closed then get charged a cancellation fee.

On the 20th of August, we had a booking to collect a vehicle at 19:30, our flight was delayed, however, and we only arrived at the airport @ 20:35, the Hertz office was closed with a notice to dial a number and someone would meet us to be able to collect the vehicle, but there was no answer on that number(attached is my call log for that day to show I tried calling them more than 18 times). We followed the instructions and travelled to the other office as instructed on the notice, but that was closed as well.
We ended up spending 3 hours trying to collect the vehicle and ended up renting a car from a different company at 5 times the cost because I was unable to collect what I paid for. Now you are charging me a £95 cancellation fee, I did not cancel the booking, you were unable to supply what I paid for.
