I am afraid to advise anyone thinking of purchasing the Bushnell ION elite golf watch to be aware it does cannot carry out some basic functions and Bushnell are aware of this based on my dialogue with them.
They have not made any attempt to resolve the issue(s) and this has been going on for months now with no dates given to rectify the issues.
If you expect it to provide stableford scores based on your handicap on the watch it does not.
If you decide to play off yellow tees for example from the default black tees it does not adjust your playing handicap to reflect it on the course you have selected
As I state I have raised these issues with senior management at Bushnell over some time this year and the issues still remain unresolved .
I think I have given them enough time to solve the most basic of issues and certainly if I had been aware of the obvious weakness in their system I certainly would have purchased a different make.

Bushnell doesn’t do service. Phantom battery failed out of warranty, can’t be replaced, unit is scrap. Best advice is don’t go near this supplier, there are plenty of good companies out there, no need to purchase from Bushnell.

First watch failed after a week
Replacement - time is 5 minutes late so clearly not synching.
Move holes out of order and watch cannot respond
Have contacted Yumax twice - silence
Customer service awful.

Bought a Bushnell hybrid rangefinder less than 2 years ago, it was $399 the laser stopped working, called Bushnell, out of warranty, nothing they can do, terrible customer service. Will never purchase another Bushnell product.

purchased a Bushnell tour V6 shift for golf and the range button fell off 2 months after purchase, customer service in Canada is now closed according to an email received and still requested I send it to the Toronto adress, no news despite emails sent with the proof of delivery and all the required info. Bushnell stood in my top supplier list for these products but the quality of service and lack of communication is despicable. As most of the comments seen, if I could give 0 star I would. Do not buy Bushnell products. To Bushnell, you should clean up your act and serve your customers as would a top tier company

I’ve had a Neo + watch for about 10 years and until now had no problems with it. From time to time I updated the software, added new courses and updated old courses until now.

I tried to connect to Igolf as usual and got a message saying Bushnell had ended support for legacy golf products. No alternatives were suggested.

I messaged Yumax who are Bushnell’s U.K. agent and was told nothing they could do but offered a 20% discount on new products. An unhelpful, useless response !

When I pointed out to Jack at Yumax that my watch is now obsolete and effectively useless this was his response:

Unfortunately, the 20% offer is the best that we are able to do due to the Igolf issue only being on Legacy products and not the new products.

All of our software support is now under one roof at Bushnell and we will not be in the same situation again.

Surely if it’s all under one roof they can provide their customers with the service they deserve and not the poor, lamentable, useless excuse of a service many here have experienced.

I would rather go without than buy another Bushnell product!

Got the dreaded error code 14 when tried to charge my Bushnell Neo Ion watch in the car in the way to the course. Yumax Golf explained that the issue was unfixable and after some discussions, Rowan from Customer Service offered to send me a new model by way of compensation. Outstanding customer service!

I agree with the majority of these 1 star ratings. Bushnell come across as a high quality company, but there's a total lack of product support, particularly in the UK/Europe.
My rangefinder has issues and the response confirmed the lack of ability for any support / updates to remedy the problem. There is an offer of a 20% discount on a new purchase, but small consolation, and buying another Bushnell could hardly be recommended based on this current experience.

I bought a Bushnell S2 watch some years ago with an understanding updated support would continue to be available.
Now of course, they dropped this commitment. When I tried to update my watch this year, here is a response I ultimately received:
"Hello Donald,
Thank you for contacting us about your Neo XS.
Our previous mapping vendor is no longer supporting updates to our legacy GPS devices. The device will continue to work as normal, there will just be no way to perform updates to the device. You can use our new Bushnell Golf Mobile app (White icon) for golfing information but it cannot be used to sync or update your Legacy device.
We understand this is an inconvenience to you, so we would like to offer you a $50 coupon to our website that can be used sitewide on any Bushnell Golf product (excluding Launch Pro) that retails for $99.99 and above (US Customers Only). This will allow you to purchase a new GPS device that is supported by our new mapping vendor.

Please let us know if you would like the coupon.

If I wished to download the Bushnell Mobile App instead. This would push me to awkward use of my own mobile phone, and I believe this may gobble up battery life on a device I depend upon for many purposes other than golf.

So much for support from Bushnell. You should ask yourself, "Is this really what I wish to buy?"

Bushnell Golf Warranty is a big lie. V5 laser, was intermittently giving extremely unreliable readings, like 300 yards for a 97 yard par 3. Constantly off by 10 yards. Sent in for warranty repair. No repair. No offer to repair at my cost, per their website. Returned with a piece missing from the front lens. Warranty cancelled. What warranty? They didn't do anything.

I thought Bushnell was a quality company but my recent experience has significantly changed my view of this company. My V5 range finder was not operating correctly. The view became very fuzzy. I contacted bushnell and sent in to them for repair or replacement. After 3 weeks they told me my warranty was void as it had water damage. Problem is my product was never under water. The only exposure could have been from rain. They also said the eye piece was damaged which again was not true. I asked them to take another look at it. They never responded but offered me a 20%discount if I purchased a replacement. Based on this horrible customer service I would not recommend any Bushnell products. For a
Premium priced product I was shocked at how poorly they handled my situation.

Own a neo-xs watch. Course cannot be updated. Bushnell blames it on a 3rd party provider dropping support for course updates.
Offered me a $50 coupon. They still haven’t sent.
After reading previous reviews, I understand now why I’m getting nowhere, I have the same service rep, Mia. Maybe Bushnell only has one. Bushnell needs to be aware of bad public comments and at least attempt to make changes!

Had a V4 Rangefinder. System failed after 4 years. Spoke to their agent in UK and they said throw it away as we wont repair it - so be prepared for Zero support.
Terrible attitude for a $400 item, when replacing a board would be $50 and happy to pay!
Wont buy Bushnell again

Bad support, device obsolete after some months.
No way to update maps (golf courses)

I bought a Phantom 2 5 months ago. The screen comes on but there is nothing displayed. When I contacted Bushnell, I got a reference number and asked to supply proof of purchase, images of the item and my address should it fall within guarantee time (12 months from purchase). I supplied all this and sent it back to the contact (Mia). I haven’t heard a thing. I even contacted Yumax who are the UK representative, heard nothing from them.
Customer service is none existent with Bushnell. I would avoid this company and look at alternatives.

I purchased the Neo+ hand held. It worked right up until I had to update the courses. With help from the support I tried their method of update many times with no success. They tell me it needs to go up the ladder. Now I have a perfect paperweight as I have half the summer left with no gps. This sucks!

Purchased rangefinder phantom 2 six months ago. A large brown mark has appeared on the middle of the screen making it difficult to read the display. Bushnell say they have seen this before and blame the problem on the item not being waterproof and either getting wet or being stored in a damp place. I have not played a lot and never used it in the rain. The item is stored by the bed. In any event, why sell a golf item that is not suitable for outdoor use? I have checked the instructions accompanying the purchase and can find no warning re not being waterproof. I am disgusted with the response from the company and will never buy from them again

I bought the bushnell ion2 gps watch, first time using it on the golf course, condensation so bad that i couldn't see the yardage to the pin.
Contacted Bushnell support, via email and there support site no response from either, despite repeated attempts to contact them.
They got my money and that's all there interested in. There products have a years guarantee which is useless if they won't respond to your issues. Minus 5 stars🌟

I contacted Bushnell as my golf viewfinder was using a full battery during each individual round. My enquiry was to request if there was a recognised fix I could apply or an option to repair the unit.
The response was that if the unit was out of guarantee, 2 years, then nothing could be done.
No suggestions of companies that may repair, simply a total lack of interest.
So be aware if your bushnell unit breaks your only option is to throw it in the bin

Pathetic customer support or interest

Bought the Bushnell Phantom golf ranger and it has just stopped working after 5 times of using it.

Just gone completely dead and won’t charge, unfortunately it is just over a year since purchase so out of warranty but not impressed and not not recommend this product!
