Our bespoke trip in Japan was one of the most magnificent and memorable trips we will ever take. Our guide (Takuya Kodama) had such an incredible depth of knowledge and such personal charm and charisma, that he was a true ambassador both for Japan and for B&R. He made very moment fun and wonderful. The trip was a perfect mix of great cycling, superlative food and sake, beautiful countryside, spa experiences, and Japanese history and culture. We loved it and would recommend it to couples and groups who want a fine experience.

Had the most wonderful experience on our first B&R trip. Our guide was beyond amazing. We stayed at gorgeous hotels, ate delicious local cuisine, and drank the best wine. Oh wait... this was a walking tour. Yes, the trip on the camino was beautiful! The scenery was amazing. B&R is top notch and I can't wait to book another trip with them!

We had a wonderful trip to Vietnam with an excellent guide. The hotels we stayed at were first class, including the Metropole in Hanoi. The overall experience was both very educational and very enjoyable. The bike rides were a great way to see parts of the country that we otherwise never would have experienced.

We have done two trips with B&R one a biking trip and the other a walking trip. Great experiences with both.

Annalise of Butterfield and Robinson planned an outstanding two week trip of Australia for us. After a short phone call to determine what we wanted from our travels, she put together an incredible itinerary that cover various areas of Australia. The accommodations were fantastic and the food incredible. But what made the most of the trip were the people we came in contact with through B&R. Our drivers, guides and staff were top notch and went above and beyond to meet our expectations. We plan on scheduling our future tours with them.

We just returned from an outstanding 5 days at Kirkmann's Kamp in South Africa. Michele Harvey did an outstanding job of organizing and advising us on the perfect short safari experience for my Grandchildren and I. It was the 'trip of a lifetime' but we all want to return again soon!

B&R trip planner for New Zealand , Rob Grieve, did an amazing job creating a three week immersion in luxury and nature for my husband and I, my sister and brother-in-law. We had many new and inspiring experiences and were stunned over and over by the natural beauty of New Zealand.Every day was filled with hiking , exploring rivers , lakes ,mountains, fiords , beaches and birds, - learning about New Zealand history ,culture and arts - and every 3 nights we moved to another beautiful lodge with a magnificent view and delicious food.
A smooth trip with every detail thought out, but always with flexible options available due weather, or our whims.

B&R provides an amazing, immersive experience to see the world in an intimate way. We have had four biking trip with B&R, each different and stand alone memories, but the base experience also remains uniquely B&R. On our travels, we have also met folks who have taken 10, 15, & 20 trips, including one who had done over 50! Clearly, with that discrimating audience, they are doing something right.

When my sisters announced to me that we were going to take 21 family members on an 8 day trip to Scotland, I was very skeptical. I could not imagine how we could pull together this many people and not end up with anything but a mess.

Dane Tredway from B&R worked with our family to organize great activities in some amazing venues. He kept us on schedule. He rounded up the stragglers. He thought of all the details. We had a fantastic time. Without Dane and B&R, I am convinced our family trip would have been a disaster.

The price tag was not cheap however, the memories will last a lifetime for us and our kids. Thanks Dane and B&R.

Tuscany was our first biking vacation. We took to heart the prescribed training suggestions before our trip and were glad we did. Also the option of using an ebike gave us more time to enjoy the views of Tuscany. Our guides Stefano and Edoardo were simply the best. These gentlemen were with us before we began our day until we tucked in for the night. They anticipated our every need and request. Laughter and stories abounded to and great memories to an already fantastic vacation. Some may ask why exercise so much on a holiday. There is no vacation I have taken that can compare to the intimacy of the land you are visiting than being on bike. To see, smell, hear, taste and touch the area around you is what makes this type of vacation excellent.

As in the past Buttterfield and Robinson succeeded in giving my family a wonderful trip. This time we had a private trip to southern Utah. The staff, experience, and dinner/accommodations were superb. This was our 4th trip, the others in Europe but we wanted to explore the USA and this was a great way to do that.They give unique experiences with guides that are unbelievably diverse in education and experience.

Butterfield and Robinson is a singular organization. I have experience with a decent amount companies in the travel and hospitality sphere and B&R stands out. Their attention to detail is impeccable. They have earned my highest recommendation.

I have traveled with B&R numerous times and have thought each and every trip was unique, special and all in all a superb experience. What separates a B&R trip from those of their "competitors" is that B&R always has something special on the trip that is memorable. For example on our last trip, B&R arranged to have locals put on a dance in front of a cathedral in the center of town. And we, the guests, participated!

Our trip to Sicily was perfect in every way. Our guides, Thilo and Lorenzo, were exceptional and so much fun, and they took care of every detail seamlessly. The hikes were varied and very well chosen-- the Etna hike with a local volcanologist was a highlight! From the wonderful food and wine to the excellent hotels, we feel like we experienced beautiful Sicily in the best possible way.

We've done two trips with B&R, 1 biking, 1 hiking. Both were excellent. What made them special was the relationships the guides have cultivated in their areas over the years, so that you end up having lunch at someone's house in the countryside, or visiting a family-owned olive oil producer in the middle of a hike, or getting into a church that's been closed since an earthquake 2 years ago but the guide knows the caretaker and you have a very private and special tour of the artwork inside that church. That's what really makes B&R special, in our experience.
