Everyone at Cabot has been very kind, understanding and reassuring during the time I have been a customer. I have always found it easy to discuss my account and arrange payments that were affordable for me. I have never been put under any pressure. I have now made my final payment and a very nice lady called Ketty helped me through the process. My experience of dealing with Cabot has been a positive one.

I spoke with Emily for almost 30 minutes. Excellent would be an understatement. She was the kindest agent I had ever spoken to. She made me smile ear to ear with joy, despite the situation. I’m sure all the other staff are also amazing but I doubt they measure up to her brilliant telephone etiquette.

Spoke with Miko who was understanding and friendly. He took the time to listen to my circumstances and was able to suggest a way forward to shorten the length of money owed… Thank you so much..

I'm still having difficulties with them. Having paid £9500 of a £12000 debt they still want the whole lot.
I own my own home outright and have savings through a career of hard work.
I am 61 years of age and have always paid my way. I accept I racked up this debt when I was much younger but times change and this is the only debt I have left.
This company are the worst debt company I have dealt with. Other companies offered very generous discounts of 30% and a twelve month payment plan. Cabot offer nothing.
I have been passed to their sensitive support team and was basically given a phone number for the samaritans.
They have refused my latest settlement offer and the chap who sent the email reply (Martyn ) said the best cause of action for you is to pay the lot. This money is due now. Martyn sounds like his customer service skills could do with a tweak.
So now I have no desire to play anymore. I will send them £5 a week and see where we go.
If I end up with a CCJ after having paid all that money I will update on here.
Seriously , not a nice company overall. Some of the staff make sympathetic noises but others take themselves far too seriously and are obviously target driven with no soul.

Cabot have been exceptionally supportive, through very stressful financial times.

Told them several times I'm in a debt management plan and given them the reference number but still receive threatening letters from them a few times a week. You try and do the right thing by offering to pay your debs back after unexpectedly losing your job (rather than go bankrupt) but they still threaten you. Don't ask for any details from me on here, you've got all you need.
