I went into the office in Puerto del Carmen this morning to hire a car for a day, only to be informed by the female member of staff that they don't hire for one day but a minimum of 3 days only so I left .
After sometime I returned to the same member of staff and asked her why do they advertise prices for one day car hire if they don't, she replied that it's what they do, I asked as to why are they misleading customers (tourists) about day hire if they don't and I stated that they should update their information displayed if it's true that they don't hire cars for one day, but then she said they do hire for one day but today they don't have a car for one day but they have a car for three days, very confusing or more like she wasn't bothered doing the paperwork for one day and decided to be dishonest.
If this company is dishonest and untrustworthy what else are they dishonest and untrustworthy about especially when it comes to the insurance and what you're insurance cover really cover's ???
Best advice is to avoid this company and look elsewhere.

I have used this company a number of times and always had a good experience. They have a good choice of vehicles available. The website is easy to navigate and easy to make a booking. The pick up at the airport has always been smooth. The vehicle supplied is generally very new and freshly cleaned. There is no CDW so the price you see is the price you pay.
I plan to return to Lanzarote next year and will book again with them

Hassle free rental, with fully insured vehicle. Booked an automatic car online, which seemed to be a stress to the guy at the desk at the airport, but they later found an automatic SEAT, which matched the reserved vehicle.
Some superficial damage to the vehicle was noted at pickup, however due to the full insurance no inspection upon return was needed.

Free pick up/drop off hotel. On both occassions the driver arrived exactly at time specified.
Vehicle was modern and well maintained, and at a fair price.
Friendly staff.

Car (seat ibiza) was in great condition and delivered as expected. It was perfect for the need and the island roads. The way to return the car was easy as well.
The clerk at the airport was very helpful in finding us a solution when we asked if it was possible to extend the period we initially booked.

I always book with these guys. No messing about. No deposits on card or crazy excesses. Straight forward every time just bring it back with the same amount of fuel as you get it. Always have good nearly brand new cars too.

We have been using Cabrera Medina
Only down side this time was they were not open on arrivals, which meant a crazy queue on the other side. Fortunately a lady came out and told anyone with a “Pre booked” to come to the side.

Have used Cabrera for many years and have never had a problem with the booking. Never try to upsell insurance because great cover is standard, a rarity in the tourist car hire world! Would recommend them over the big named companies every time

Nice car, excelent customer service

This was a previous hire a few weeks back. The cars tyres were all coming apart and the tread was pealing away I showed staff they were not interested. I only drove 20km and the clutch pedal stuck to the floor managed to pull it up and get a gear but decided to take it back. Got back at 13.30 it was closed left the car outside and walked back at 16.30 explained the problem they were not interested and told me to email the complaint. I've heard nothing in over 3 weeks. I've hired since with no issues

Picking up the hire car was fast and efficient. The car was in excellent condition and very clean. The staff were polite and friendly. The drop off at the airport at the end on our holiday was the easiest of any hire car company that I have used. I cannot fault the service.
