Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware. This is another Chinese scam company. What you receive is nothing like the products pictured. They probably use pictures from a legit site. When you go to return these crappy shoes, they want you to ship to China at your expense and it is VERY expensive to ship to China. Please stay away from this company.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware! I wish I had read these reviews before I bought my slippers. After I received an email from "Sandy" stating that there would be a significant delay in receiving my order, I decided to cancel the order. This was not possible, "Sandy" said, as they had already shipped. Once I received them and realized that they were too large, I was informed that I had to send them back at my own expense. This cost me $21.25, as they had to be sent back to either Canada or China. I did not find out how much it would have been to send to China, and opted for Canada instead. I do a fair amount of online shopping and can state that this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not give this company your money....it will cost you more in time, money, and aggravation to deal with them. And by the way, the slippers arrive poorly packaged and bent out of shape.

Worse product and customer service...ever!

Same thing others have said before. Ripoff Chinese company that if you try and let me say TRY to return they tell you to mail to China! Really, deceitful advertising with the site in English and no comments about returns go to China. I ordered my size and it is so small I can not insert my feet into the slipper. Their rating system and reviews are also bogus!! I left a review and it never appeared because it was not a 4 or 5. The entire site is a sham and Buyer beware and Pay Pal should refund my money eventually!

This could be the worst company to deal…

This could be the worst company to deal with. Ordered a pair of slip-on shoes size 10/12. My son who wears size eleven tried them on, it was to big for him! Spoke to Sandy for a return. Sends me some address in China. The post office cheapest way with tracking was $62.00. Which I would have to pay. The reason being from Sandy I should No my correct size. AVOID this Chines company, not worth the aggravation, plus the slide that’s suppose to make it tighter broke!

I purchased shoes that were totally the wrong size! I ordered this pair because I had purchased a pair that I was very satisfied with but NOT this time. I contacted Calceus shoes explained what happened sent pictures and returned the shoes (AT MY EXPENSE) UNFORTUNATELY this occurred at the beginning of the PANDEMIC JANUARY 2020 and I didn't know what to do and how to proceed. I was in limbo and did NOTHING but I have now emailed and RECEIVED NO RESPONSE! I STILL WANT MY SHOES!

This company has been deceitful from…

This company has been deceitful from the start. Calceus' parent company is "Alcheap" and these were the cheapest, poorest quality sandals I've ever seen. Fell apart the first day! So here's how it went. I selected the sandals and placed the order. The next day I received a bogus shipping ticket indicating the sandals would be shipped from Maryland. Unbeknownst to me, the sandals were not even in the United States as they said. For 10 days there was no word until I received a shipping label that the sandals were on the way FROM CHINA. They used a false return address and even tell you not to return them to that address. The sandals arrived between 3-4 weeks and though skeptical I wore each pair (I bought two to save on shipping costs) once for a couple of hours at the most. They were both falling apart, insert pads just fell out and revealed the cheap rubberized grid underneath. Pure junk.

I paid with PayPal thankfully. I contacted CALCEUS/Alcheap and their response was that I had to pay return shipping to China. That wasn't going to happen. I took a couple of photos and sent them to Alcheap. Their response?

"YOU WORE THEM, SO YOU CAN'T RETURN THEM!"

This was the Calceus.org scam all along. Buyers beware of this scam company and stay away!

Fortunately, PayPal has a satisfaction guarantee and they will provide the refund.

This is another Chinese company that sells junk that you are unable to return since the shipping cost back to China is more than what you will pay for the "shoes".

The website does not mention where returns must be sent.

Buyer beware! Do not buy from this company!

This is not a real company

This is not a real company, they do not sell products.
I ordered shoes from them, they took my money, the shoes never came. I wrote them and they sent me a tracking number and told me to take it up with their private shipping company "ONTRAC" who when I called I just heard an old man heavily breathing into the phone while he "investigated" and then after long enough of a pause said "no there appears to be GPS proof of delivery please seek a resolution with the vendor" and immediately hung up with a tinge of shame in his voice like he was hiding something. Anyway after emailing 2 more times with the vendor, CALCEUS, they said "Sorry but our hands are tied here. According to our company's policy, we can't issue refund for fail delivery. As the ONTRAC said it had GPS proof of delivery.I totally understand your feeling but we can do nothing."

A GPS proof of delivery is something I don't have and am taking their word for. there's no photo of it inside my place, I never got an email saying "your package has arrived" no phone call. nothing. I gave them my money, the shoes never got here, then they told me "their hands are tied".

don't fall for this scam of a company.
they will take your money,
you will not get your product.

Slick website but wrong sizing & costly to return; good reviews are fake

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR POSITIVE REVIEWS ON TRUST PILOT: THOSE ARE FAKE. NOTICE ALL THE "EXCELLENT" VIEWS HAVE BLATANT AND SIMILAR GRAMMATICAL AND SPELLING ERRORS INDICATING THEY WERE ALL WRITTEN BY THE SAME PERSON OR TEAM; MULTIPLE "EXCELLENT" REVIEWS UPLOADED EVERY DAY AT ROUGHLY THE SAME TIME (more details below).
My REAL review: My order number was 20143100 on September 7, 2021. This company has a slick website and nice photos but reality is different. Items not true to size. I ordered two pairs of shoes, both size 9. The shipping label to me was from Vernon California. One shoe was much smaller than size 9 and the other was larger; neither shoe fits. When I requested a replacement calceus said I had to ship the shoes back to an address in China with tracking, which costs more than the shoes (although they shipped the shoes to me from a California warehouse). I researched and the company is "offshore everywhere", registered in Cyprus (meaning a nameplate on a wall somewhere in Nicosia), no identifiable address, owners, factory, etc. don't be fooled like I was, avoid this company.
also they only post positive reviews on their own website so that's not accurate.
Below I have quoted verbatim from the "excellent" trustpilot reviews for calceus.org, you can see that every "excellent" review has the same types of grammatical and spelling errors. Examples:
"These Quick-dry shoes are fit nicely..."
"To confortable to wear them"
"I recommend this for anyone who really enjoy the outdoors"
Be advised: being a non-native English speaker myself I would NEVER make light of someone else's honest grammar or spelling mistakes. My purpose is to show clearly (and I hope trustpilot is reading this) that all these "excellent" reviews are fake and uploaded by the same person or same team of fake review writers overseas.
Also, notice that virtually all the trustpilot reviews are either "excellent" or "bad" with nothing in between. If the reviews were legitimate we would expect a normal distribution with most reviews at some level and gradual fall-off from that level, not extreme sharp peaks at either end of the distribution.

“Handmade leather”= FAKE, FAUX LEATHER

They use the term “Handmade leather”, but it’s FAKE, FAUX leather. If you want to do a return be prepared to go to the post office and spend half the shoe’s cost to return it.
Use your current shoes and run away.
BTW, low ratings or bad reviews don’t show-up on their website so the level of customer satisfaction is a lie.

Horrible customer service!

Horrible customer service!

Ordered water shoes and they arrived and I could not even fit my foot inside. Took three weeks to receive (no mention of direct shipping from China on website, nor any mention of return addresses).

Only two return address available (Canada and China) and would cost exorbitant amount to send product back (more than half of what I paid to return it).

After forwarding my concerns to their customer service, I was told that the company is not responsible for customer mistakes! I made NO MISTAKE, I ordered the same size shoes I always wear on a day to day basis. I have several pairs of this size and the only issue I've had was with this company and the fitting of their shoe size. After several back and forth messages, I was offered 10% partial refund that amounted to a little less than $6 and to keep the shoes. SERIOUSLY??

BUYER BEWARE!!
SHOES DO NOT FIT PROPERLY
NO RETURNS AVAILABLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND $30+ TO RETURN IT!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Calceus should be classified as a 'Lottery', you will throw your money to them with with NO RETURN for your purchase. I received mine 3 weeks after promised, will not fit, have tried to return for the past 2 weeks with no response to my request, even their phone number listed on their website is a 'fax' number.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Calceus is a Scam!

This company is a scam...you can order same product on Amazon. I realized that my shoes would not come to me on time so I cancelled within 24 hours. They would not cancel and said that they shipped and had sent me an email (per policy). They never sent the email. They sent the email after I cancelled. Their customer contact phone number is a fax number. They reply late at night via email only. Not to be trusted and are a scam.

Absolute garbage. Typical Chinese junk. Eyelet tore the first time I put the shoes on. Worthless company expects me to pay for return shipping to China for their defective junk product.

Calceus Conartists

Thankfully, the two pairs of casual footwear I purchased were less than $100, so I can now say Caleus is a scam. After tracking the shipping, it said my ordered was out for delivery to my house at 10 am. Then it said my order was delivered 6 pm same day. Guess what? You guessed right! Never got it.

Then they tell me to contact my shipper. You'd think the supplier would give the name and phone number of the shipper. Thought wrong!
