I registered through an ad yesterday and today was called for "consultation". The first thing that made me suspicious was the high volume hip hop music in the background, they asked couple of details about education, work experience, etc. Then asked how much money I had in my account, and the first 6 digits of my credit card so they could check it was legit. They then put me on hold and I googled the company and found scam alerts from different sites.

In some cases, we may also request the first six digits of a card (the BIN) to confirm the card type/issuer as part of a basic legitimacy check.
