Canada Post didn't tell me at the time…

Canada Post didn't tell me at the time I sent a tracked package overseas that they couldn't ship wireless headphones by air due to their lithium ion batteries (in the device). They sent the package back to me (I lost the $70 CAD it cost to send) and then didn't bother to knock on my door when they delivered it. There were 3 of us home at the time. Now I can't pick it up for 24 hours and I have to go to the post office. Never again. Canada Post should be allowed to go bankrupt and close

On December 30 at approximately 10:45…

On December 30 at approximately 10:45 AM I was sitting 20 feet from my front door. I had seen online that my package was out for delivery. I heard the lid of my mailbox close. I went to check a couple minutes later and found the Canada post delivery notice. No knock or ring of the doorbell, I checked to make sure it worked. My neighbours have reported the same thing happening to them. I believe that an investigation would find that we have a courier who is too lazy to get a signature. I do not drive, so I had to arrange a ride to the postal outlet to pick up my package. I arrived after 1 PM as instructed. My package was no longer in the system. I filed a second complaint. I got a call from the post office supervisor on that one. Still have not had a response on this problem. I was told oh sorry your package missed the shuttle to the postal outlet. And I’m not sure if it will make it on the next shuttle. Got a second ride on January 2. Arrived after 1 PM. Still no package. Tried one more time and the package was finally available at 3:40 PM. I true we believe that this courier needs to be reprimanded. This is not an isolated incident.

I could carry the pkg faster than Cda Post can deliver it

An order was sent from Ontario to Newfoundland on 12 January and arrived in St. John's on the 17th. It was 'processed' on the 18th. and 'expected to be delivered' on the 19th. That didn't happen. It's now expected to be delivered tomorrow (22/01). The only information provided is 'delivery may be delayed because of transportation delay'. Isn't every delay in receiving a pkg due to a delay in transportation? If our pkg. shows up tomorrow, it will have taken Canada Post 4 weekdays after processing it to travel 5 kms. from the sorting centre to our home.

Lack of work ethic and horrendous notifications

The postman left a mere 30 seconds after calling! Do they seriously expect people to simply wait at the doorstep for 8 hours?

In the meanwhile, their "notification system" failed to notify me of the postman's presence at all.

Consider having anything delivered to your house very carefully before leaving it up to this postal "service".

Returned item asking for more postage

So I received a package back in the mail, and they told me I needed more postage, meanwhile I weighed it and it had the correct postage on it. I've looked at their website for the cost to make sure. Just complete incompetence. I cant imagine this company will last much longer with the extreme amount of debt they are in.

Package not picked up

Sent a package, cost 36$ within same province. Recipient lost mail key and was late to pick up package. Package was sent back for me to pick up in hometown. Cost 28$ for me to now pick up same package. I asked if it had been marked " return to sender" would it be no cost. Employee said i would have to pay to pick up in this scenario also. I have paid 64$ and the package sits in my home. $?@,%:÷:@^#! I will be shipping gifts direct from retailers and or driving them to recipient myself. I will not be using Canada Post in the future. Their system is "corrupt" and exorbitant.

Great customer service at Rexall in Southgate Mall

The lady working at the Canada Post counter in Rexall Drugstore in Southgate Mall, Kyrie...took the time out of her busy schedule to help me set up my flexdelivery...so it would be more convenient for me to pick up my Amazon packages...we definitely need more people like Kyrie in this world!

What WORLD do you live in Canada Post

What WORLD do you live in Canada Post - Peru, France, and numerous other countries cannot send a tracked parcel to CANADA, simply because you tracking system doesn't allow certain letters in front? You also don't provide PROOF OF DELIVERY to mailboxes - why not? Even third world countries are doing this. How pathetic you are. This company should be investigated and shut down.

Worst service-zero stars

If I could give a zero I would do it. We spent money to send a gift to my parents. Unknown to us, they forwarded their mail to the US. But we’re home when we sent the package. They never tried to contact us or drop it off. My parents have lots of parcels left and a friend brings them inside if they are away. They sent the package back to our post office. When my husband went to discuss the situation, they said to get the package back (that they never tried to deliver) we would need to pay another $30. More than the cost of shipping and the cost of the calendar. I will never use Canada post again. From now on only Purolator. Worst service ever!!!!

How The Mighty Has Fallen

A couple of years ago I would've given CPC 4/5, but ever since SSD started I have both parcels and lettermail being delayed on a regular basis.
Frequent discussions with my Delivery Agent uncover a workplace where routes are overassessed, and carriers are worked to exhaustion, leaving mail to sit until the next day or the day after that.
CEO Doug Ettinger is so, very obviously dismantling this, once proud, corporation.
Canadians deserve better!
