Carluccio's Gunwharf Quays, we will be back, lovely food, nice atmosphere, better than the other chains, food and price, and customer service.
KINGS X BRANCH. Given incorrect tonic. Focaccia bread awful, dense and with a cake type texture. A thick slab of it. Tuna salad awful. Thin dry piece of Tuna. Undercooked boiled egg with salad sat... See more

Great staff and food portions getting smaller
Great staff and food. But portions keep getting smaller. Jan is 50% off but seems even portions 50% smaller
Coffee or milk
Oh Antonio, what have they done. They've certainly forgotten how to make a cappuccino, despite several of the team being involved in trying to get it right. Virtually all milk. Surely an Italian themed restaurant should train staff to know the basics of coffee making.
Dreadful delivery service
Terrible service from the online shop. I ordered a hamper as a family Christmas present to be delivered express ( 1-2 working days) .I had paid £198.60. 5 days later it still hasn't been delivered. I complained by phone and was offered a refund of the express postal cost ( so that I was only paying the regular postal cost). I said this was inadequate and asked for refund of half the order as the service is disgraceful given what I spent. They refused and then offered a refund of the entire express postal cost( around £6). I still have not received the order. I've complained again , saying this is inadequate compensation ,but not received a response so far. Given the name and hype around Carluccio's this is very substandard; I now worry about the quality of products I may ( if lucky) eventually receive . I wish I had read reviews first.
Great service in chichester restaurant
Chloe and the team made our Christmas lunch most enjoyable. The food was good. My choice of duck confit was excellent. Attention from the team was first class
Extremely pleased
I ordered the Xmas hamper blindly as a Xmas present for my son, I certainly didn’t read the reviews at all. I ordered it on Thursday 12 December and hey presto my son received it yesterday 14 December. I am very disappointed though as the free gift message I requested was not included and my son had to phone around the family to find out who sent it to him
Do not order from this site
Do not order from this site, they accept your money then do nothing, paid and ordered on 28/11, finally they agreed on 9/12 that the items were not in stock - agreed to a refund - still waiting, meanwhile they keep advertising their products as being available.
Abysmal customer service
Abysmal customer service. My order is over a week late and nobody is responding to emails.
It's a scam!
Ordered a panettone on the 29th Nov. No news of the order on the 8th Dec.
No response to my emails and obligations to use an App "Shop" wish only produces a QR code that doesn't work!
Where is the Panettone ordered for the family's Christmas?

It’s a shame to have to write this
It’s a shame to have to write this , but my online experience wasn’t great. Delivery within 2/4 days turned out to be ten days and only because I chased five times. Emailed three times and two phone calls. Items out of stock refund for that took ten days. Was told that items would defo despatch now and was another three days. Delivery arrived. All glass jars and bottles of drinks not even wrapped. just all dropped in a delivery box. I won’t be ordering ever again the whole experience has been ghastly
South Kensington Branch - Appalling Manager
The atrocious service and dismissive attitude of the store manager at the South Kensington branch have convinced me to never set foot in a Carluccio's again. Judging by the numerous similar reviews and the apparent lack of response from upper management, it seems his entitled behavior is not an isolated issue but rather indicative of a broader problem.

We had a breakfast in Beverley Carluccio’s but I found it quite dry because it’s not a traditional full English with beans. I ordered an order juice and didn’t realise that a hot coffee was also part of the deal. She brought me a coffee but didn’t explain the offer. Overall disappointed

Worst excuse for Italian cooking in London
One of the worst meals I have had in London, or anywhere for that matter. If I could I would rate it lower. I used to eat in this chain often and always received fairly good food. However, I was served a plate of carbonara, at their South Kensington branch, that was horrific. The guanciale was burnt, not crispy, burnt. The egg was both scrambled and raw, if that is possible. I complained to a waiter, who told me they like to crisp the guanciale to give it more texture, but I pointed out the charred remains that were on my plate. The waiter reluctantly removed it and 10 mins later returned with a dish I swear was the same one, still burnt. Sad to see a chain like this, once associated with quality Italian cooking, now driven to this worst example of rip off catering that London is so plagued with.
Got Food Poisoning
Experience at the restaurant was fine, everything was good with no complaints at the time. Food came out quicker than anticipated which at the time thought was a positive. After a few hours when I came back home, I had very bad food poisoning. The main course I had was the only food item I had that day that my partner didn't have it too, and she did not show any symptoms so it can't be anything else. I had the beef pasta so I'd recommend avoiding that.
Carluccio's Wimbledon: cannot guarantee safety of customers with nut allergies!
Carluccio's Wimbledon:
Manager refused to serve my 20 year old daughter whose favourite dish has been Chicken Milanese (at Putney Carluccio's, now closed) since she was 2 (she's always had nut allergies)!
Apparently "all dishes prepared in same frying pan with pistachios"!
UPDATE: Owners confirmed by email that it is "Company Policy" to reject customers with nut allergies as they are unable guarantee their safety.
Filthy glasses
Went to the Beverley restaurant as soon as they opened for a coffee so all tables were freshly laid out with cutlery and glasses however the tumbler on our table was visibly dirty with fresh (not badly washed off) pink lipstick. I handed this to waiting staff when they took our coffee order and she was very flippant and unapologetic and not remotely embarrassed by this blatant lack of hygiene or cleanliness or attention to detail

We enjoyed some of the pasta dishes but the toilets were in a state when we were there - no paper

Gunwarf quays Portsmouth
Gunwarf quays Portsmouth.
All of these restaurants have closed in Oxfordshire, so decided to eat as we used to love it. NOT HERE the food was OK, the service by Aaron the deputy manager was terrible, we were sat with food menus only, I had to help myself to a drinks menu from the adjacent table, I had to ask for additional cutlery and Parmesan when the meal arrived, he didn’t ask, mid meal, if everything was ok. We had a main meal and left having paid a 12.5% service charge! For what service! Rubbish. Won’t go back!
Wimbledon village
Wimbledon village. Service was very good and the limoncello spritzer was lovely. The food (I had duck) was not good at all. This was the most tasteless duck I have ever had. It didn’t even taste that fresh. Cold beans and the meal had no flavour. It did not fill me up and was probably the worst meal I have ever had. Carluccios really need to improve to stay in this competitive market.
