My son and daughter in law needed…

My son and daughter in law needed flooring in a hurry as they had only a few days to move. Dave was extremely helpful and ensured they got what they needed. The fitters managed to fit all flooring within a few days. They fitted them in around other jobs they currently were doing. All were fitted to a high standard. The fitters were very friendly and obviously very experienced in what they do. I will not go anywhere else for flooring needs

Repeat customer - Great experience every time!

We've used Carpet Clearance Chester for two rooms at our previous house after we lost confidence in Tapi. Our experience with Dave & the fitters was faultless. Great range of carpets and, so long as you're happy to clear the floors yourself the guys are professional and experienced at fitting.

We were so happy with CCC previously that we returned to them for our new home which sadly falls just beyond their servicing area. Neil did us an almighty favour in offering to fit us before a deadline despite that it took the fitters out of their way. Carpet fitted yesterday and the guys were once again respectful of our home and faultless in their work. Great service all round and would definitely recommend! Nic (Denbighshire).

Wouldn't recommend

We have had a truly awful experience with this company and would strongly advise others to think carefully before using them.

Although we had a cheaper quote from another firm, we chose this company on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, that decision has left us extremely disappointed.

We ordered carpets for the whole house, spending a significant amount of money. At first, two rooms were fitted. The fitters left a considerable amount of mess behind, despite there being a skip directly outside – a small but frustrating sign of poor care. More concerning was that when we vacuumed the carpets, they immediately began lifting from the gripper rods.

Worse still, after the fitting, one of our radiator pipes started leaking (which had been perfectly fine before). This flooded the new carpet and caused water damage to the ceiling below. We then had to pay for emergency work to replace the damaged pipe – something no customer expects after having carpets fitted.

When we raised these issues with Dave, he initially reassured us that he would do whatever was necessary to ensure we ended up as happy customers. He agreed that the carpet should not have lifted and promised to send his fitter the next morning. The fitter arrived late, inconveniencing us further, and then admitted to our builder that it could have been him who damaged the pipe – yet Dave called later to say it was “categorically 100% not his fitter.” Later still, he backtracked, admitting the fitter had said it might have been him. This conflicting information did nothing to build trust.

Despite our reluctance to have the same fitters back, we allowed them to complete the rest of the house, after being assured by Dave again that he wanted us to walk away satisfied. Sadly, the remaining work was no better. We were left with visible faults: uneven carpet lengths, loose and bumpy stair carpet, poorly finished connectors sticking up above the floor, and no attempt to resolve the lifting issue we had already reported.

When we complained again, Dave’s attitude completely changed. It became clear his main concern was securing full payment, not ensuring customer satisfaction. He even tried to shift blame, and suggested pursuing an insurance claim that would be long and costly – a clear attempt to put us off.

In our opinion, this company may be fine when everything goes smoothly, but when problems arise their customer service is dreadful. We found them evasive, inconsistent, and unwilling to take proper responsibility. We would not trust them again with our home or our money.

We cannot recommend them.
