They owe me $2000 after 6 months!!! This is a literal scam they're operating.
2 flights got cancelled back to back and now refunds apparently take 12+ months!? What kind of utter BS is this? Even their emails said 8 weeks max and thats still insane. It's been 6 months and still no refund and agents have confirmed they messed up repeatedly. Now they're avoiding our calls.
They charge you instantly but take a whole year to refund for you a cancelled flight? Hopefully some government agency steps in and ends this mess.
I'm also filing a complaint with the FTC & BBB as this is beyond a negative review. This is a literal scam they're operating.
Unusable tickets
Cheaptickets sold me 2 Ryanair tickets for 2 14 year old children. Ryanair doesn't accept them unaccompanied. Afterwards I saw that the website of Ryanair makes it impossible to book for 2 minus 16. But cheaptickets shamelessly sold me 2 unusable tickets. When I noticed it I couldn't reach them because they don't have a real service desk, only a chatbot that answers standard questions. Do not book with them!
I will NEVER book another flight with…
I will NEVER book another flight with them ever again.!!!!!! As much as I use them for most of my travels, for them to not work with my situation is mind blowing. I absolutely Do NOT recommend anyone booking with them. They are the worse.!!!
I purchased 2 round trip tickets and…
I purchased 2 round trip tickets and purchased the insurance for cancellations or changes. Unfortunately I had to cancel my trip. I went to cancel and they told me that the airline is nonrefundable but can be used for future dates. The insurance will have to be called and a claim filed. I have purchased cancellation insurance before and was never a hassle.
Never buy from cheap tickets
Never buy from cheap tickets. My experience was horrible, like many other reviews that I have read. I purchased my airline ticket as well as the travel insurance through the website and was denied as AIG Affinity adjusters are trained to do. I will never use cheap tickets again. I would advise you to do the same.
dont book with them
dont book with them
surely not in corona
no service, no reply on the chats
i could not do the online checkin
so I will have to pay extra 50 Euro???
dont book with them waste of money
and I spent hours to find out how to checkin and have my health form be accpted
for one weekend trip
I ended up and bought a ticket at SN Airlines and got service
waste of money but surely waste of time
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Unable to obtain reviews of a dramatic surcharge upon changing an itinerary with United Airlines. Despite multiple and creative attempts, I was unable to talk with a supervisor in customer service. In talking with Cheapticket agents, there was a consistent language barrier and multiple miscommunications. Recommend dealing directly with the airline.
Worsest third party
Worsest third party. I tried few times and always regretted.
I had the worst experience ever with…
I had the worst experience ever with this company. I made flight reservations which had to be cancelled due to covid, I received an e credit, no problem. I just booked a another flight and was told I had 24 hour in which I can cancel. Well before the 24 hours I tried to cancel, they said I could no problem, I am now told I will loose all my $400.00 if I cancel. I am not asking for a refund just another e credit. i am calling yet again to see if I can get this problem resolved. I will never use Cheap Tickets again EVER. SO AFTER A NUMBER OF CALL I STILL AM GOING TO LOOSE ALL MY MONEY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TELL ME THAT WOULD HAPPEN ALL THEY SAID IS I CAN CANCEL MY RESERVATION. WHAT A RIP OFF AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Hidden fees and lies
The first night was beyond horrible. Extremely loud rap music and drunk people in the cabin next to us partying till after 10pm then back at it at 8am. Beware of hidden cleaning fees tacked onto your hotel price after you book. Our room went from $126 a night to $146 after booking!!! Triple check your reservation details too!!!! The room description on cheap tickets was inaccurate and NOT the booked room. The owner wanted to charge another $20 a night for a jetted tub that was in the description on cheap tickets but NOT the actual booked room. She did waive that fee for us. Also Cheap tickets had the room for $28 dollars less three weeks later for the exact same booked room the weekend we were staying. I was told that they would price match no problem. That was a lie. It was ultimately up to the hotel if they wanted to price match or not. Guess what big surprise they chose not to. I will never book or recommend Cheap tickets or Golden Bear cottages to anyone for all the hidden fees, inaccurate room bookings, and all the hours I spent on the phone trying to get it all corrected without spending another $80 in hidden fees and upcharges. To bad though, the owner is nice and cottage was cozy.
Awful Service and Loyalty
Customer service has been absolutely impossible. Upon calling I'm told it will be 3-6 hours before I can speak to an agent. Sure, I request a call back. What happened when they called me back? They hung up on me before I even spoke to a person. Start the cycle again... Unacceptable that you cannot speak to someone within a reasonable timeframe. They sure make it easy to take your money. But if you need help, forget it.
Furthermore I have been using this site for at least a decade, and their rewards are virtually non-existent. Maybe they throw me $5 off once a year.
I will never use CheapTickets.com again.
WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A THIRD PARTY…
WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A THIRD PARTY AIRLINE VENDOR. Our reservation was messed up by their agents over and over. We lost so much time and money trying to get our new itinerary to work and in the end all they gave us to compensate for their mistakes was a $50 credit. They are just completely useless. Don't use them. Purchase direct with the airline or Expedia
ALERT
ALERT, ALERT!!! Do not use cheaptickets, stay away from this agency. 2021. I bought a ticket, they send me confirmation about my flight United and all the details. When i went to the airport they say, they couldnt find the reservation, (are you serious) i called cheaptickets, they told me many excuses but they didnt fix the problem and United was asking me to pay xtra money to flight that day and i said not because i already had my ticket paid. I lost my flight and i am still fighting my refund. I am 73 years old and they didnt care i was there super early, they left me waiting for nothing.
We purchased a ticket for over $1000 2…
We purchased a ticket for over $1000 2 years ago, paying so that we could change, alter or get a refund if necessary.
We are still awaiting our money/refund 2 years later. But it is not just the money, it’s their despicable conduct and complete waste of dozens of hours that they should be ashamed of.
Last March 2020,after numerous calls during which we would be often on and off hold for up to 2 1/2 hours, we were told that we would get the refund within “three weeks”. When that didn’t happen we called again by mid or late April and were told “it’s coming within the next two weeks”. This year we have called no less than 25 more times and have been promised call-backs, email responses within 24 hours and more. NOTHING!! Lie after lie after lie!
We have been lied to dozens and dozens of times by this dirty company. From their website to their automated call system, all of it is designed to not only not provide customer service, but to actually go to lengths to harm and intentionally waste additional time, rather than ever even beginning to actually attempt to address their customers valid issues.
And again, this is Expedia Group: Exact same websites, same lame call system - AND THE SAME DIRTY, CRIMINAL CONDUCT INVOLVING FRAUD AND BOLD-FACED THIEVERY!
I am giving cheaptickets.com a 1 star…
I am giving cheaptickets.com a 1 star because zero is not an option. Cheaptickets may work to book flights under simple circumstances, but god forbid life happens (which almost always does) and a refund/credit, reschedule or other circumstance is needed. To make use of a credit with this company, be prepared to wait on hold upwards of 4 hours. Also, do not fall for the "call back queue" option, you'll never get a call back (tried on multiple occasions). I had no choice but opt for holding on the line for what was said to be a 2 hour wait that turned out to be 3 before someone came on the line. Once I got on the line with someone, they spoke to me for a few minutes, pulled up some information and as soon as I asked for clarification and/or breakdown of difference in cost the guy (not gentleman) hung up. So, here goes...another 4 hour wait to try to reach another agent, start all over again and hope he/she does not disconnect the call, as there is no accountability to poor customer service, there is no one who will care about customer issues. The guy who hung up will never have to deal with his lack of customer service and can arbitrarily hang up on any call he doesn't feel like working as there is no consequence. This company is trash as it pertains to customer satisfaction. Save your time and money and use someone else.
Cheap ticket customer service is…horribly managed.
Cheap ticket customer service is horribly managed, they canceled one way my flight with no reason, no explanation. How can I use my return ticket if my original flight has been canceled. It is a very difficult to reach them, I need to wait for 4 hours to be answered. InJanuary I had a bad experience too, they booked my flight to a different city.
Took a while but they came through
We booked three tickets to Japan last year but, seeing how the COVID crisis was developing decided to cancel. Cheap Tickets advised us, in an email, to hold on for a further few weeks as if the airline cancelled the flight we would be eligible for a full, not partial, refund.
We held on, the flight was cancelled, and the refund was promised.
It took nine months for the refund to be made, in full, directly to a bank account not to the purchasing card. But here’s the thing. Despite taking forever the money was refunded in full. Despite the phone number never being answered they answered every email I sent and furthermore sent an email to say that things were being processed every couple of weeks as a way of showing we had not been forgotten in the system.
We have used Cheaptickets several time to fly to Japan and Europe and this was the first problem we encountered and it was, eventually, settled in our favour during a time when the whole industry was collapsing around us. I had no real expectation that the money would be returned, expecting instead bankruptcies and broken promises, and was delighted when we received our money back.
It took a long time but they held our hand and reassured us throughout. I think they did ok by us.
Avoid Booking with Cheap Tickets!
Had a credit for Alaska Airlines from 2020 cancellation due to covid. Booked a flight in 2021 only to find out that after receiving a flight confirmation number, and were at the airport that we had been cancelled off both the to and from flights.
There were no flights available out that day that was less than 1900 dollars for two people to fly from Phoenix to Seattle.
No charges were billed to my card and the 292.40 credit that was supposed to be there for me to use disappeared.
Now I have to dispute the room charges I booked, the rental car fees I never got to use, and try again to get back the flight credit that disappeared from Cheap Tickets website six days ago.
They told me they were going to escalate the case, but so far has not called me.
NEVER again will I book a flight on this Mickey Mouse POS website.
POSSIBLE FRADULENT USE OF IATA LOGO CHEAP TICKETS
I have contacted IATA today, as they display IATA LOGO on their websites. This is the text of the communication.
A company I booked airline tickets with in March 2020, has consistently refused to pay a partial refund they have agreed to. The flight was cancelled as advised by them. The company involved is cheaptickets (thailand)
However this company is brandishing the IATA logo, claiming it is an 'AFFILIATE MEMBER' OF IATA.
The company's headquarters are in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It has many other connected websites around the world, all their sites display the IATA logo.
It has consistently failed to refund passengers for airline tickets, some of which the airlines have refunded to the 'Cheap Tickets' over the last year.
My questions are:-
Is Cheap Tickets an affiliate member of IATA?
If is not, how can you stop Cheap Tickets, in it's various forms from displaying your logo, and asserting it is an affiliate member?
Cheap Tickets operate through a range of websites.
cheaptickets (hk) HONG KONG
cheaptickets (th) THAILAND
cheaptickets(nl) NETHERLANDS
cheaptickets (de) DENMARK
cheaptickets (ch) SWITZERLAND
cheaptickets (be) BELGIUM
This is not a legitimate business
This is not a legitimate business. None of the customer service numbers work (740)233-0140 is disconnected, (855)983-4672 voicemail box full not able to leave a message. Contact us link does not work and the website link goes to GoDaddy. Not able to cancel or get a refund. Do not use this website: Cheapflightfares. Email receipt lists company as TravelNTickets also illegitimate and no customer service. Total scam. Will not refund $2598.02 for three reservations: 798073,799062,799080. How can you reach them to change a reservation or cancel the purchase when there is no customer service number that works? Investigate Cheapflightsfares and TravelNtickets so no one else is scammed and ripped off.
