DO NOT TRUST THUS COMPANY!
THEY ARE FRAUD!
They are nit replying to my emails and not refunding my tickets which were cancelled 5 Years ago due to COVID! I HAVE VICAT order against them but they are choosing to ignore! Next step would be Court Order!!
PLEASE NEVER BOOK WITH THEM!

I booked a one way ticket from Colombo…

I booked a one way ticket from Colombo to Perth, following which I received phone calls requesting to attach a copy of the passport and visa grant notice for ticket booking and ticket was not issued until such is given. These were not mentioned at the time of the web booking and payment. If these were needed it should be included in the webpage prior to accepting payment. None of the other booking agencies request for such details and this is a clear marker of distrust and harassment.

I wish I could give a zero-star review…

I wish I could give a zero-star review for CheckMyFares. I booked a flight with them on February 18, 2020, which was canceled by the airline. They initially contacted me via email about a refund, but to this day, I am still waiting to receive it. This company seems to operate by illegally keeping customers' money. This is a terrible travel company from Australia with zero customer support. Avoid this company at all costs.

Horrible, horrendous and douche bags

Thanks for one of the other reviews around NCAT - I have a partial refund which is about 80% of a what they owed for over 2 years. So people waiting - don't. Just go online and file a NCAT immediately. It costed $60.

These people are pathetic to take away our hard earned money.

REFUND BACK AFTER 3 YEARS

After lodging a complaint against checkmyfares to NCAT (NSW Consumer Tribunal) they finally sent me my $3000 refund before the trail date went ahead. Goes to show they are illegally withholding refund money. If you still haven’t received a refund from before Covid, go through your states consumer body. It cost $70 or so to do.

"Nightmare in the Skies: Avoid checkmyfares.com at All Costs!"

"Dealing with checkmyfares.com has been an absolute nightmare. Their policy of non-refundable tickets is bad enough, but their lack of transparency and abysmal customer service make the experience even worse. After purchasing tickets, I encountered an unexpected situation that required me to cancel, only to be told that I wouldn't get a single penny back. Not only that, but their representatives were dismissive and unhelpful, showing zero empathy for my situation. Save yourself the anguish and frustration – steer clear of checkmyfares.com at all costs. You're better off booking with a company that values its customers." I will give 0 star.

I would say thanks to check my fare…

I would say thanks to check my fare team for provide me tickets for my refund money . Tickets were cancel in March 2020 & customer service team helped me get new tickets .
Specially thanks to Dii & Nica who really made it happen , otherwise I really lost my hope .

No ticket no refund SCAMMER ALERT

I am still waiting on my refund from 2020 due to Covid..totally disgusting service, they don’t answer calls nor do they reply on time to emails. The calls and emails are responded to by people sitting in the Philippines however claim to be an Australian company. No customer service at all and I would give no stars if that was an option. DO NOT GO HERE AND GET SCAMMED

Steer clear of these guys (I wish I could give 0 stars)

I booked tickets with Malaysian airline before COVID.
As flights were getting cancelled airlines refunded the fares. But these people did not give my money back.
Now they don't answer phone calls. So far they had been replying to emails. But now they are sending ChatGPT generated messages. So shameless :(

DO NOT USE THEM!!

I bought a flex fare and I need to change the date of my return flight and they:

1) provided an phone # in my email that is disconnected;

2) did NOT provide in my email a "Booking Reference" number-only a "Reservation Number" (5R5RMW) and a "Quantus Confirmation Number" (5TO6MP); neither of which work for their required "Booking Reference" number.

I could NOT even submit a question for help on there website because-wait for it-the Booking Reference" number they did not provide is REQUIRED!

So what they claim to be "World Class Customer Service" I find sorely lacking. I'm trying to see if Quantus can resolve my issue. Just now I notice another number for VIC. I"ll try that if when I get off the phone with Quantus. Hope it works-but not holding my breath.... NOT HAPPY :-(

I would give no stars if I could..

I would give no stars if I could... I have been trying to get my money returned for over 2 years since the issues with covid. I have been advised that they have received the money from the airline, so it is not like they have not got it. After 2 years of trying to get a refund I thought I would transfer to another flight as I believed this would be easier. How wrong could I be.
In the first instance they offered flights where the going flight was the day after my return. Then they offered me a flight where I would land in NZ the day after I left from East coast AU, I mean 3 hour flight, really. They would not confirm that check in baggage and all taxes were included in the quoted fares. Six emails later over a 2 month period I was still being offered the same random flights that did not meet my criteria, even when I quoted available flights that I could see through my own research, that suited me.
I have now re-requested a refund as I certainly do not feel comfortable having this company book flights for me.
I have involved AFTA and then through them the Justice Department. The Justice Dept are now having trouble getting in touch with them. They are not contactable via phone and all emails whether sent through various previous points of contact or directly via their web site all lead to the same person. I am then given the same run around that I have had the last few years. This is also true for the Justice Dept as they are unable to contact them.
I certainly would not recommend this company for any travel bookings.

I Finally got my refund but the only way to get the refund from Checkmyfare is to send a complaint to AFTA it took less than 4 weeks since i notified AFTA. there are a few process to do before you can send a official complaint to AFTA but they are all explained on their website. Good luck

Finally received my refund

Finally received my refund! Followed AFTA complaint process of sending formal letter of demand to CMF to provide refund within 21 days. Refund arrived within a week. This is after waiting for more than 2 plus years. Thanks Ollie and Sean for advice on this forum.

I lodged a complaint with AFTA before i sent the formal complaint letter. AFTA then advised me to send the letter to CMF and they also advised CMF with the complaint number.

Booked fully changeable flight to Hong…

Booked fully changeable flight to Hong Kong knowing that they had issues with covid. Signed up with Checkmyfares.com. Never received a confirmation email. Instead I received it from viewtrip email.travelport.com
No booking number from checkmyfares.com
The airline changed the flight layover to the next day which messed up my plans.
Then I received an email from checkmyfares.com with the booking number and the new changes.
I went to their site to change my booking. The booking number was invalid. They won't answer emails sent from their web page. They don't answer their phone either. IF YOU ARE WITHIN 90 DAYS OF THE BOOKING PEAOPLE, DO A CHARGEBACK TO YOUR CREDIT CARD. You will get your money back.
